lol not modable ? mine is. Also Cockpits can be used on various Ai aircraft for temp if i was to figure it out. but people dont like hearing the word modding and il2 in the same sentence.

I need someone who understands java and java classes. il2 is mostly based of classfiles. Classfiles which sometimes contain weapon power, range, loadouts, also cockpit information, and much more like building damage, wind variables, if you can control your solider. The Il2 Engine is ok for a game like this, I have seen the way it's built tho.. and it's really screwy.

I played it, Without mods. Not enough aircraft. So i went to il2. I tryed, played for a month, and switched.

why ? what difference does it make. Im a proud il2 fan :) and no CFS will ever change that.

hmm well if the new update has more aircraft and some updated sounds for all aircraft. Then kick ass. Many people love il2 right now because of the fact modders are never around, but im sure they wish there were some minor changes in the game, yes im aware that the engine for the game hasent changed very much sence day 1, and yes it's the best ww2 combat flight simulator i have ever played. Modding can go bothways, for good or bad. All Depends on the person. "Maddox resents it big time" now thats a big word. If he did then why is he allowing the next game to have optional aircraft ? do we have any idea how that would get pulled off ? It would be no different then now. From your words "il2 online would be ruined" now lets see storm of war. People say it will have 2 different servers. One for Clean games and one for modders. The clean game server will check for edited files and kick if any thing happens to be differnet in size or ect. Modders server would just bypass no check. My Question is. If he is implementing that into the new game, and is coming out with a 1.09. Why not do it now... and if he is aginst modding why is he slowly allowing it.

me arcade... thats funny. Alot of the stuff in that game has great realisim to it, but never the less theres tons of stuff thats just not like it should be. Many people hate the sounds, have you listened to the p-51 ? Sounds nothing like the real thing. Alot of same sounds are used for multiple aircraft, sad you cant even change thos without extracting from the sounds.sfs Dont get me wrong all of us hate cheating, makes the game get so boreing so quick. but the extact same thing happens when you play a game that dosent seem to change very much over a long time. Thats my opion, many of you flyboys play every day regardless, but what ever. This is getting way off topic so im going to stop while im ahead.

Yes of course, but rumors mean s**t. Look at halo 2.... It was spose to have 3 new hogs, ATV, and more weapons, But did it ? Storm of war looks like it will kick ass, but if modding is not allowed it would suck. One Reason I want il2 modded is the fun it would allow me to have. AI aircraft could become a open book, and the level of fun on my part would be Increased. Flying the same dam planes over and over get boreing after a while and the game turns to mush. I still play it, but not like i used to sadly.

I dident Ither. Now I know. Only Problem is my Exe Will not work. I need the russian one along with the russian file.sfs from what i understand.
