I have no such problems with my 8500 gt 512mb.

I'm runnin a dual core 3.2ghz with only 1meg ram (soon to 2megs) and GF 8500gt 512mb DDR2 in the PCI-e slot and I notice only a little bit of choppiness in areas where there are a lot of targets like in WOV Hanoi or haiphong other than that this series (I have them all except FE) is Great!! I just LOVE looking in the rear view at the purty explosions as I beat feet out of dodge!!

Ditto! I come from a Army, Navy and Air Force family. With out the selflessness of the BRAVE men AND women of our past and present military, a lot of the things we take for granted would not be. It is up to Our CinC to have the wisdom to NOT send our troops into harms way for some B*S*

maybe to keep the install simple you could just focus on the jets. as much as i love this series, i just stick to the files that dont need ini editing and those that require clean instals.

even tho my sis was a CPO! lol but carrier landings are incredible! now throw in a night carrier landing!

Rgr that. I'm runnin multiple campaigns but the result is the same, my pilots are getting their buttocks ripped to ribbons AKA; KIA,MIA,POW. I did have two aces but on the very next mission(SEAD) They were lost. I wish they would at least TRY to avoid getting hosed. sigh!

Well It has FINALLY happened, After months of playing the TW series I finally completed a Hi-speed low level bombing run! I'm flying the THUD in Linebacker 2 and was tasked to hit a runway, Greatfully there were some hills on the ingress route so I stayed lo and weaved in and out of the hills to avoid the MANY SAM sites. Much to my shagrin the hills gave way to a open valley about 10 to 15 miles away from the target so I kicked in full AB and once the runway was just beneath me, I let loose ALL the hi-drag 750lb eggs that I had. I then heard Red Crown say "mission complete RTB". With the SAM warning tone in my headset buzzing to beat the band, I beat feet out of dodge at like 50ft altitude. I was TRULY surprised that none of the ZSU's were able to shred my THUD(this time)! Don't you love it when a plan comes together?

lol! But it is soooo much more "fun" down in the weeds with a THUD or F-4 trying to weave and sneak my way into the target area completly laden with old "dumb" bombs,trying not to pay too much attention to the SAM warnings while dodging the ZSU's! Man does it get ANY better than that?

I too am feeling the pain of the improved AI. I'm flying the Netz in '82 and I have been shot down by SAMS and AAA on every strike or SEAD mission no matter what tactic I tried, so on the next attempt I led a flight of 16, ordered them to engaged ground targets, while me and my wingie lagged back for awhile, then, I kicked in full AB and blazed to the target (AC hanger) at 50ft popped up to 8000ft rolled over onto the hanger almost straight down and let loose all 10 of my 750lb bombs and managed to pull out of the extreme dive at 100ft and beat feet back to base with the 1st "mission complete" of the day!! The sad part to this is that I lost 6 AC on this mission At this rate I'll be flying solo in a few days.

I have both sims and for me the clear winner is ANY of the TW series simply because the community here ROCKS!! Nuff said!

I too have played Aces high and I was thinking to myself only if there was a sim like this with jet aircraft, then i played the TW series and thought only if there was a multiplayer or co-op. maybe one day...and yes i would GLADLY pay the cost to have a TW type sim with co-op and real time ground war that would be directly affected by the actions of the pilots. Wishful thinking??
