F-15 "Eagle" X MIG-29 "Fulcrum" - aerial supremacy of Israel.
Silverbolt posted a topic in Pilot Stories and Adventures
till that of total unknown form to I publish it, well is known for that during the last years the activity of Israel's recon planes and of the Syrian borders you lend (and around of them) was (and it is) especially intense. He is compreensivel that the IDF/AF and the SyAAF are supervising ssituation inthe borders lend with great care. The many years of spying had created certain "informal" rules that they had been never written but each side looked for to respect. It had certain Consense that it regulated what each side could or nao to make. During an interview to some years atraz, a pilot of the Syrian with experience in missoes piloting MiG-25PD and MiG-25R, explained that each year, between eight and nine missoes of recognition they were practised by its unit to the Border with Israel, and some of these times even though beyond the same ones, but according to commander "many of these operaçoes simply were ignored by Israel". During another interview with another officer, this informaçao was confirmed when this indicated that "it is a routine to monitor the movements of avioes of recognition of the IAF flying to the north of Israel and on hills of the Golan as well as that the radars of Israel monitor our movements in the Libano and mounts of the Golan", "some times Syria the Israeli radars had inside caught avioes of its proper territory, during years this happened and in the cases most serious it came some hunting for interceptaçao, compelling the other to retrocede". With the event of day 11/09 and one relation spoiled between Israle and its neighbor, situaçao between the two Air Force was sufficiently tense what it finished provoking the incident most important enters the two Air Force in the history most recent of the conflicts between Israel and the Syrian, more powerful the the two confrontation between planes of its respective Air Force... the F-15 "Eagle" against the MIG-29 "Fulcrum". -

F-15 "Eagle" X MIG-29 "Fulcrum" - aerial supremacy of Israel.

Emergengy situation The F-15 to lider immediately commanded to Boeing to execute a maneuver evasion and to abandon the area the maximum speed possivel besides making use of all its resources of ECM, after this and already maneuvering, called its tower control and requested reinforcements, as resulted of this call, others six F-15s and six F-16s had been mobilized and envoy at the same time that it took off another Boeing 707, this of aerial restocking. The operative one of Israeli emergency was in march, but the Migs F-15 of escort continued in direçao to the two. The Israeli Commander still can send a warning for the international frequency of aid, asking for that the Migs varied its route. Nao had reply. The Eagles were ready for the attack. The Python IV Without absolutely one second more than to lose, one of the F-15 assumed one offensive position, acting with a reply Incredible speed, therefore in this situation the orders were clear and the reply it would have to be forceful, it vectored and it attacked the MiG-29 that if approached since a higher height and that it counted on the visual advantage to have the Sun directly its coasts. With the system of weapons stopped in the target, the pilot launched a "Python IV" that immediately angulo in 40º modified its to start one ascenso that would directly direct it on the Mig, the missile made right the target for the left side causing its explosion. This would be the first victory of the new missile "Python IV", that despite Angle of launching, made right the target without problems. The other MiG-29 initiated a maneuver of high "g" the right, pparently looking for to escape and to come back toward the Syrian, but already it was late, therefore as the F-15 already was encima of it and only launched a AIM-9M Sidewinder tao 500 meters of its target. The missile destroyed the Mig in one to blink of eyes. Both Syria pilots, Maj. Arshad Midhat Mubarak and the Captain Ahmad al-Khatab had ejected in security and had been rescued by Syria ships. The names of the pilots of del Israel continue a mystery. In all in case that, the pilots Israeli had demonstrated tremendous preparaçao tecnica and absolute control of situaçao, answering of automatic form and without vacilar of one situaçao delicate and inside dangerous. F-15 "Eagle" X MIG-29 "Fulcrum" - aerial supremacy of Israel.

09/14/2001 a IDF/AF Boeing 707, equipped for SIGINT-recognition,Wide duration Mission for the lebanese coasts and would siria, collecting informations on the sirias defenses, and supervising first telecomunications and signals of the radars of the area of Tarabulus (Tripoli) and Hamidiyali. The attempted against ones in New York were Arab a recent subject and had one special atention to know as countryes would reacionariam. Boeing 707 flied 520 we and the 30,000 feet, escorted for two F-15C, at least one of them was armed with the new air-air Missiles "Python Mk.IV". The Air Force of Israel made missoes of recognition on this area one two times per week, and as it was custom, two Syrian planes werevectored to intercept and to make "shade" to Boeing 707 and of this form to supervise operaçoes of the IAF, always to a cautious distance. Normally the Syrian sent avioes MIG-23 of the Air base of ad-Duhor Abu, and with little frequency they appeared avioes MiG-29 of the base of Tsaykal. Avioes MIG-29 later had been tranferidos to the base of in charge Al-Ladhiqiyah and Mediterranano had started to be planes of the monitoring it. Until that day syrian planes kept a distance of never less than 20 Km Israeli and they had never demonstrated any interest in intercepting or attacking avioes of the IAF. But in that day, the 9:14 hrs, the two sent MiG-29 to shade Boeing 707 had maneuvered suddenly, if they had come back against avioes Israeli and they had sped up. For Israeli the the two pilots of F-15 of escort this maneuver, obviously agressive, was a Great surprise. Situaçao was very delicate due the short distance that separated the Israeli group of avioes of the Syrian. Nao had time to make questions, after a agresiva maneuver the Migs could open fire at any time. -
