  1. lol, the nose has nothing to do with me ! I do know what you mean though. Wingtips...extended and with ASR 1012 mods if I can find the time to finish that. Personally, I really prefer the clean lines and look of the NA.39 prototypes and the S1.
  2. Superb ! Unexpected and very welcome. Cheers Monty
  3. Oh. Never visited that site or attempted to join.
  4. The Person Below Me

Sooooo false ! The person below me couldn't be bothered to walk their dog this morning...and it pooped indoors.
  5. Looks great Brain...I can hear those tiles singing..."please release me, let me go"
  6. A Javelin would be nice. I'd say a Swift would be my preference from that list. Once it's problems were ironed out the F.Mk5 was a pretty good aeroplane.
  7. Dambusters or Halo

Hi Ken. Welcome to CA ! Always nice to have some tales from the RAF, especially the era you mention. The Lincoln, oh my...whatever were they thinking with that awful new bomb aimers nose-glazing ?
  8. Tales from the RAF

lol. Good stuff ! Maybe he thought it was new version Elsan
  9. Obsessions

TW sims, BOB II and FS9. Orbiter (hardly use this nowadays but it's there for when I get that occaisonal NASA bug) and Babylon Project mod for Freespace2. That's all I do. No other games at all.
  10. Migbuster is correct...it's how I do it. I have the target boxes but they are set so small they show as tiny red dots so that they're visible but don't detract from a more realistic view. Same goes for waypoint indicators etc. From my Huddata.ini.... 11. Whilst that is true, you would still expect some disparity in design. The Shuttle\Buran is a blatant straight steal. As are the others mentioned. I'd expect that the individual designers would give whatever they created their own look. A Mig is unmistakeably a Mig whatever the variant, yet no US design looks like one. The US and Soviet space programmes of the 1960's are a typical example. Both powers evolved their own designs although the physics was exactly the same for both. Anyhooooooo...back to the screenshots.
  12. Teen Kills Himself on Webcam

Well, whatever your views on this subject, one thing's certain. He won't do it again.
  13. THEY'REEEEEEE BAAACCCKKKKK

I just don't get this whole eels thing.
  14. I'm pretty sure I have a wingie called Dave Bowman in one of my installs.
  15. Happy Birthday Dagger

Yep. All the best Dags. Have a good day.
  16. Useless Factoid of the day

The latin name of these tiny dinosaurs was Compsognathus longipes.
  17. That's called teasing the crew cheif.
  18. Useless Factoid of the day

Buzz Aldrin was the first man to pee in his pants on the Moon.
  19. 6th June 1944...crossing the south coast...Normandy bound.
  20. WOV: US only ( I've deliberately not enabled flyable Migs ). WOE: mostly RAF, then Soviet. WOE(WWII): just about everything depends on my mood. SFG: Anything goes, even mercenary. WOI: IDF only. FE: Anything goes.

  23. The HUD in my Vulcan is kind of "painted on" and doesn't move. If you look in the inset picture you will see this. It shows 1000ft then above it 3000ft. I'm assuming yours is the same ? I certainly don't use it ! The normal bottom left in game HUD (not visible) works just fine post patch. I have no problems bombing in the Vulcan. Maybe you should not level bomb. Try a shallow dive or lob the bombs. That's what I do. Still miss sometimes.
  24. The Person Below Me

False I'm afraid. I don't have a "wii". I have, however played with my friends "wii" quite vigorously but haven't broken it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The person below me has read far too much into that statement.
  25. Funnily enough I've just reinstalled SFG and patched up and I too was pleasantly surprised. Had a blast really, no fancy weapons or planes. Vanilla except for Widesky (can't do without it now) and my own HUD preferences. Sometimes it good to get back to basics - if only for a short while Trouble is that's it's very hard not to tinker with it. "Oh, I'll just add such and such a plane, or mod". Must...resist... Yeh yeh I know I could copy the vanilla and mod that to my hearts content but when you have the willpower of a thing that's got no willpower you're screwed.
