  3. Is it... The new Bose super-dooper surround sound speaker system for Red Crown ? So you don't miss it when she says "Negative...all assets commited"....again.
  4. Lesson No.16: How to hide from an angry Farmer....in a farmers field.
  5. I'm not aware of any add on becoming available ?? You may be better off asking over at the Thirdwire site.
  6. The Person Below Me

True. I can grunt like an ape with the best of them. -------------------------------------------- The person below has just had deja vu.
  7. Why I dislike the new James Bond movie

I think that Daniel Craig was an inspired choice to play Bond. Great actor, plus he's hawt!! Judi Dench as M is again, superb casting. She has made the part her own. As for the old films. Well, Connery is Bond. No doubt about that. Roger Moore played it for laughs, I think he did a great tongue-in-cheek Bond-esque character. Dalton. A good actor but not Bond. Brosnan. Oh no. What were they thinking. The worst of them all. Cannot stand to watch any of his bond films. Lazenby. Nah. Desmond Llewellyn as Q was simply untouchable. "I never joke about my work, Bond". Classic. The old baddies were the best. Gert Frobe as Goldfinger, Donald Pleasance as Blofeld. Ah, they don't make em like that anymore. Haven't yet seen QoS but I do like the actor who plays the baddie in his other work. Can't be bothered to google it but I think he's called Daniel Almaric or something. Liked him in Munich. Hey, Daniel Craig was in that too. See. Great actors. Great films.
  8. I know a really really dirty joke about a bird on a boat. When I'm in a drunken stupor at the CA Christmas Party I'll tell it.
  9. Skippy should know...it's his bird ! Anyhow, Skippy & Hinch (hey you two sound like a good cop show!) thankyou very much for the Wyvern and HMS Eagle. You don't know how happy I am at this release. Cheers guys you've made my day !
  10. In WOV...really now, you don't have to ask. In WOE... 1. Tornado GR1\1A 2. Jaguar GR1 3. Harrier GR3
  11. Author Michael Crichton Dead

RIP. A really good author and a great storyteller.
  12. Thinking About Moving To England...

Here's a typical East Yorkshire photo. Literally five minutes from my house. Nowt special but I do love this part of the world. Wales is much more spectacular, Scotland too. Down South also has some great scenery. (...See how diplomatic I can be !)
  13. Mostly a weight saving exercise. Plus it was generally felt by those higher up the chain of command that there wasn't really need of a ventral turret on night ops. The Lanc was originally designed with one though. The Lanc II's operated by 4 Group (before they swapped to the Halifax) were often fitted with the ventral turret or had a Lewis or Vicker's gun able to fire through a hole in the floor. I wonder just how many lives would have been saved if they had kept the ventral turrets. The German's Schrage Musik would have been discovered earlier and that one glaring weakness in RAF bombers could have been negated. What reports of Schrage Musik that were given by debreifed RAF crews were dismissed. This is where the fallacy of the Scarecrow shell was born. It was told to RAF crews that the German's had invented a flak shell that imitated a direct hit on a fully laden bomber. The reality was that what RAF crews were reporting were in fact bombers exploding after being hit by Schrage Musik equipped nightfighters. Sorry to go on a bit but it's one of those questions that provokes a lot of debate due to the impact it had on aircrew safety (relative safety - there was a war on !).
  14. The one in my sig ? It's photoshopped. Not real. I really don't know anything else about a Buccaneer. (The NA.39 however, is another story.) But, someone will be hard at work on a Bucc' I'm sure - as this is a screenshot thread this is where Buccaneer speculation now ends. Thanks.
  15. Thinking About Moving To England...

Too right. They breed us tough up here in t'North.
  16. Ha ! Sleeping is for nuns and amateurs. I can go all night (when I'm skinning and modding lol).
  17. Superb Skippy ! Looking forward to that
  18. The Halifax is my favourite. The MkIII was the best but I have a soft spot for the MkII & V specials with the faired in noses. Ugly brutes that look like they mean business.
  19. I for one am very glad that all those extra weps are in there. Sooner or later someone would have piped up, "hey, any chance of an inert such-and-such?" I think all the weps packs are the unsung heroes of this series. Tons of work has gone into them yet you do take 'em for granted in a way. So three cheers for wep pack makers everywhere.
  20. The Person Below Me

False ! Way before my time old man. (Though I have heard of it!) The person below me collects their belly-button fluff and arranges it according to colour.
  21. BLUE ANGELS down 1 plane

At the end of the day it's human nature no matter what job you do. I'm not military so don't flame me if I this comes across wrong. To quote Joe Haldeman (sorry Joe): "I don't care what you do, grabass all day and f**k all night, but when you go outside you gotta have the discipline that would shame a centurion" However, saying that I know it's a touchy subject in just about all military (though I can think of a couple of exceptions!). My take on it is, as long as you can do your job to the criteria specified and you don't let it interfere with your efficiency - who cares!
