Apparently it's white and blue. Pointy nose with a long test pitot. So they say. They also say it's still on test from the manuacturers. Also hear the name Gyron Junior mentioned, whoever that is ! Then again, I wouldn't take too much notice of what they say. -

Funny, I appear to have lost the in-map names after installing vanilla WOV, then patch Oct 08b patch then Green Hell 2 with Brain's tiles ? -
Mmm...I'm having a cider for you both now. Happy birthday fellas. Many happy returns.

Seasonal changes in campaign
Syrinx replied to WDH's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Don't be silly. Keep plugging away at stuff and you'll be surprised what you'll pick up. I am the dumb poop of the world but even I've learned a few things under the aegis of the great community here. -

An amateur photographer caught this image of a very fast low flying aircraft over the Humber, 25th April 1958. The MOD refuses to comment, after all there's a cold war on... -
Just a few pics I took today (25.10.08) at the Yorkshire Air Museum at Elvington, East Yorkshire. On the former site of the 4 Group WW2 bomber base, ex home to 77 Sqn. Great day as always despite the weather !

Usually whatever is available if I'm peckish. I've even resorted to a cup of coffee and a couple of stale trifle sponges...heaven !

The Wyvern and the Eagle make a lovely pair. Both are great really looking forward to some RN\FAA ops. -
Ok guys lets not let this degenerate into a "my plane is better than your plane" thread.

Very nice Russ. I like. Gerry Anderson should have been chief designer at Hawker Siddely ! -
False ! Chuck Norris is a fan of me. The person below has seen a total eclipse of the Sun.

I had an I-Pod nano which was great til it decided to throw itself into the washing up bowl. I've since bought a Philips 8gb GoGear which has been great. Quite a bit bulkier than the old nano but excellent sound quality.

A dusk takeoff for a heavily laden Tornado as once again 617sqn carries the cudgel for liberty... -
Well I'm from the old school - just grin and bear it ! No oxygen cylinders available in my house, plenty of water though. Hair of the dog - does it work? I can never face another drink next morning if I'm hungover. I always feel better after something to eat rather than a drink anyway. A hangover is the Universe's way of evening things up. You get nothing for nothing.

Export .lod problem
Syrinx posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion
I downloaded the TW exporter plug-in for 3ds max and it loads ok. When I want to export a .3ds file as a .lod there isn't a .lod option to export to. Over at the TW forums Russo posted an answer (to Erwin Hans I believe) showing how it's done in picture form, but all I get is the little red x instead of a pic. Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Really burning the midnite oil with this it's driving me buggy ! -
Yes definately real but hard to do properly. Lots of PS workflow to get them looking right-on. I've seen these before on the A.net site and there are many others like them. There's a good one of an Astraeus 752 in front of a low reddish moon somewhere, had it on the old desktop for a while. Tried it myself with very poor results I can tell you.

Which Campaigns Utilize Carriers
Syrinx replied to LCountach's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
The short answer is yes. You'll start out on one type, and as you progress through your career your unit will upgrade, depending on what a\c you fly. It may be same type but newer model, or change to a different type. Can't remember it depends on your initial choice of unit and\or service. As for swapping a\c willy nilly in stock career the answer is no. -
Credit where it's due.

Anyone who makes 3d mods now has my total respect. Just started using 3ds max...oh my god ! What an effing eye opener. Guys, kudos to you all.
