  2. ....anyway, you've got to land on a carrier manually. Using the AI is for nuns and amateurs Practice, practice, practice...then practice some more.
  3. Come on guys let's not turn this thread into something silly. If anyone has any "issues" with anything said then take it to PM and discuss it there. Thanks.
  4. I use Fraps, but beware the filesizes after recording are horrendous! I use a compression program called virtual Dub which chops 'em down to a reasonable size. Then do the editing in Movie maker, simple stuff but it works for me. I really ought to do some video's thinking about it.
  5. 80's Music/Movies Etc

Must admit I can't relate to the 80's at all in a musical sense, although I don't mind the odd tune from Duran Duran when I hear it. I suppose the very late 80's weren't bad, with the arrival of Metallica and an embyonic Nirvana taking shape. Filmwise, there are some real gems in there. Some of of my fav's are The Killing Fields, Das Boot, Terminator, Top Gun (did I really say that?...for the aerial footage). As for 80's fashions, my God! what were they thinking! All that big big hair and shoulder pads, stripey tops and a lot of spandex.
  6. Ah well...never mind. Cheers for the heads up Dave.
  7. Great work there guys. Looking forward to this one.
  8. An Interview with Ezlead

  9. Taking Pictures

Rain...you wanna try England. Rain, sun, sleet, snow, hailstones, wind, no wind...you can get it all in one day.
  10. Here's one of the most evocative shots I've ever seen of the TSR-2...talk about atmospheric, menacing...a true bird of prey. http://www.airliners.net/photo/UK---Air/BAC-TSR-2/0979918/M/ Kudos to the photographer...a great shot.
  11. ...and that's what's called wetting your appetite.
  12. I remember reading a novel whereby some sleeper KGB operatives in the US used these AG-Cat aircraft to spray nerve gas at strategic locations in the US (NSA hq, Pentagon etc). Was a good story but I can't recall what it was called right now.
  13. Operation Chastise

As I write this it's 23:35 hrs local time in the UK, at about this time sixty-five years ago the first wave of Lancasters from 617 Sqn RAF were carrying out Operation Chastise, the famous Dams raid. Would just like to remind everyone what superb airmanship, bravery and courage was shown by these 617 Sqn crews. 56 men were lost on this raid alone, carried out by 19 specially modified Lancasters. Most aviation enthusiasts know the story, so I won't go into that here, suffice to say it was a major event during WW2. My respect and thanks to those men of 617 Sqn who were involved in that raid, from the humble but invaluable "erk" to those at the top. Also to anyone who has or is serving with 617 Sqn, my regards.
  14. Plane lands on top of another

"....and here we see that rarest of sights, the eager white-coloured male, obviously attracted to the bright red plumage of the female, attempting to mate, on the runway..."
  15. No appologies needed Cedric! Absolutely first class. Big big thanks to you and Mike once again.
  16. Operation Chastise

That's true. There's a clip on youtube somewhere, the audio from the Star Wars raid overlaid onto footage from the 1953 Dambusters film. Absolutely classic...no doubt old Lucas got his inspiration from that. Some of it is almost word for word when you watch the original film too. Great stuff. Here:
  17. That TSR2's got more variety in it's wardrobe than I have Love the RAF camo job Sundowner...wonder if they'd have been around long enough for lo-viz grey (or desert pink...mmmm...desert pink).
  18. Moderator hat on: Check the WIP list. No hat on: It's part of the DS mod, when that's released the Bucc' will be in there. Patience. Silly hat on: It'll be Christmas, New Year, my birthday, my cat's birthday when the Buccaneer thunders in. I'll be having a party...a bottle of Smirnov Blue, half a packet of cream-crackers, three apples and a whistle...all by myself what fun... Anyhow, on that note this thread is closed.
  19. ...how nonchalant Skippy ! Bleedin' amazing is how it looks!
  20. Hehehe...Mannie, Nesher - looks like you're gonna be busy for the next 18 months or so !
  21. Hi Joe, welcome to CA ! I'm assuming you've tried our downloads section?
  22. Kursk

Why thankyou Sparko...I might take you off my Christmas card list ...pity, had a nice one all lined up too. Anyhow, on that Nintendo DS brain-training thingy I had a brain age of about 67...so there's no hope for me at all.
  23. Ant's right...why try to fix it if it's not broken. She's the TSR2, no more, no less. An elegant lady taken before her time. Let's just be grateful that we're getting the chance to experience her.
