  2. File Name: Default RNlAF F-104G Skin Replacement Pack File Submitter: bwild File Submitted: 26 June 2012 File Category: F-104 26-06-2012 v1.0 This is a replacement pack for the default RNlAF skins used by the ThirdWire F-104G. The skins were made with ravenclaws excellent templates. This pack includes both the Camo and Grey skins and an additional Camo skin without the black inlets. The skins are HD (2048x2048). Matching droptank skins are included. The skins have no national or squadron markings. To use this pack you need to have SF2:Europe installed/merged. To make them flyable follow the instructions by Wrench: http://combatace.com/topic/57393-flyable-f-104s-for-sf2/ =============================================== To install: Simply unpack the Object folder in the zip to your MOD folder. Overwrite if prompted. Notes: - The skins may be to big for your system, resize them if needed. - The bumpmaps of the Thirdwire model do not exactly line up with the skin, I'm working on a fix (no ETA). Credits - ravenclaw_007 for the F-104G templates - Thirdwire for the F-104G =============================================== bwild Click here to download this file

  4. Happy Birthday to...

    Happy birthday!
  5. 22'6" (6.858m)to be exact. ;) From the manual:
  6. Try SymbolType=RADAR_AIM_DOT. This is from the F-14, I don't know if it works with avionics70.dll. [HUD_SteeringTee] SymbolType=RADAR_AIM_DOT ImageFilename=cockpit\F-14A_steeringT.tga ImageSize=0.050 OnlyWithRadarMissile=TRUE
  7. Nice work! Just a quick heads up, the F-15C_85 decals folder is inside the F-4E_78 decal folder.
  8. Get them here http://thirdwire.com/downloads_tools.htm
  9. Brennus, did you know this site, lots of high res pics. http://defenseimagery.mil
  10. This is new in the phantom data.ini in the missiondata section. I suppose the park animation is the wingfold. CarrierBased=TRUE CarrierParkSpan=9.00 CarrierParkAnimationID=8
  11. Nine aircraft numbered 250 to 258, called SP-13A Atlantique in service.
  12. After some digging I found that the extra lights on the left were added from BuNo 159002 (1974) and up, the lights on the right from BuNo 158978 (1973) and up.
  13. Wouldn't the new terrain engine be ideal for the Falklands? Even smaller than Iceland.
  14. I have been digging through my old lecture notes on flight dynamics, Clp is indeed a measure for roll damping, due to the change in angle of attack along the wing span because of the rolling moment. I can list some coefficients for actual aircraft from flight tests. Cessna Citation (cruise) -0.3444 Fokker F-27 (cruise) -0.60 Lockheed Constellation (cruise) -0.5200 Concorde (approach) -0.1410 X-15 (cruise) -0.3150 De Havilland Beaver (approach) -0.5500

  16. F-35 to replace JASDF F-4Ejs

The RNlAF has two KDC-10 actually.
  17. I think the point is we can use dds texture on the stock models we don't have access to by changing the file extension to jpg.
  18. Isn't the F6 lod a better fit, since it lacks the parachute housing? AFAIK the GA 11 didn't have the parachute housing, they were modified F4's (leading edge extension, hook, guns deleted). I have to say that is an awesome skin.
  19. Nice! Dave, is there any chance you could include the killmark on J-063? First and only air to air kill of the KLu since WW2. Souce:http://www.f-16.net/gallery_item95694.html
  20. Found this an interesting read, it's from Flight International juli 1968. It backs up the findings in the sim. Complete article is available in their online archive.
  21. At 200ft I find it really difficult to get the timing right. At 500ft you have a bit more wiggle room, and AAA is still unable to track you. Still the bunt retard method is far more accurate.
  22. Sweet, works as advertised! Up to now I did level approaches with retarded bombs only. 1. aproach at 500ft and 550kts 2. line up target 3. ripple 4, interval 250ms, open bombbay 4. Release when target is below the speedbar in the HUD 5.
