  1. Made a CVA-63 directory under the Ground Objects folder and copied in all the CV63*.* and CVN*.* from the install into there - but still CTD'ing. I'm guessing that either (1) they all don't get there or (2) my subdir is named wrong. ??
  2. I'm also getting a CTD when unraring the file and then starting up. Could you please specify which of the CV*.* files in the rar Objects go elsewhere, and exactly into what folders ? Newbie here Thx ..
  3. Apologies for the basic nature of my question, but I suppose we all have to start somewhere On the assumption that a given AC can only have one "active" skin applied at a time, is there some sort of skin-swap utility running around, or do I just need to set up some sort of manual swap regime .. and if so what is recomended ? (If it helps, I'm quite pc literate .. but am a 3rdW virgin and not familiar with all their file mgt details yet) Thx Gents,
  4. Gotcha ... Thx. To be honest, it's so nice to find a flight simm that handles skin changing as easily as this series does that not being able to preview is not a big deal.
  5. Upon further investigation I see where skins are stored in sub-dir of the AC. Quite user friendly I might add. In CFS3/IL-2 you have to jump thru hoops to change skins and here the main interface will do it for you !! Let me ask this please .. is there some sort of "skin preview viewer " available, or do I just have to keep reloading to see what's what ?? Thx for the reply btw
  6. Apologies if this has been asked before (searched but didnt find it) ... but how does one remove the text boxes on the lower left / right of the screen to take an unencumbered screenshot ?? Thx Gents,
  7. Thx for the replies guys  Mapping Alt+D to toggle the HUD is what I was trying to do and seems to be the easiest (along with using my mouse to change the external views) .... I've been flight simming for awhile now, but am a virgin to the 3rdW series and they all have different command sets While I'm thinking about it, is there an easter-egg command list anywhere ?
  8. Community Mega Pack

yes, yes and yes. I can manually install, but given RL ... work, wife, family etc etc ... I tend to stay away from large mods that would take an entire evening to search down the components and man install em. I downloaded Column 5's NATO for exactly the reasons he enumerated. I'd think the vast majority of medium-soft core simmers would feel likewise (??)
  9. Community Mega Pack

Just a few general observations .... 1) Given that not everyone has the ability/time to manually install a megapack, I would think an auto installer is the way to go. 2) Would most definitely suggest it be put together by one person, or at least a very small group. Otherwise we'll see it in 2020. 3) If size is an issue just post it in segments. My .02
