  1. Fast Eagle sick....

    Get well soon Bud! BirdDogg.
  2. Nah, believe it or not, the IRST was modeled in Microprose F-19 Stealth fighter back in like., 1987/88 somewhere around there. So no, LOMAC will not be the first to model it; however they may be the first to do it real well :D Although it was modeled well in F-19 for it's time, considering the system was still in R&D phase to my knowledge, so you would have to believe alot of *assumption* was put in to it. hope that helps. BirdDogg.
  3. OT Echelon Wind Warrior DEMO

For those who may be interested Echelon Wind Warriors Demo is available @ http://adrenalinevault.com/ Slick new interface for those who played Echelon. Ibeen playing it some this afternoon and it's a different kind of flight, but it's kinda cool Go check it out BirdDogg
  4. No problem MJ, When you get it set up let us know, or like I said Give me an address and it's on the way! BirdDogg.
  5. Yo Jeff, You send me an address and I'll mail you $25.00. for your site. Your site is one of the few bright spots left in the Genre, and I'll do my part, because you have and continue to do yours. I already own Flanker so I'll just send you the cash. Keep up the excellent work MJ, and you know you have our Support!!! BirdDogg.
  6. Flanker 2.5 sucks for Joystick

The button mapping is a little tricky, however it can be done. I use a X45 with Flanker, first make sure you have a printout of the Controllers button ID, then go into Flankers Joystick button mapping menu. You will more then likely have to map some basic routines then fly and try and tweak some more. It's not the most intuative system but the rewards are good. I hope this helps BirdDogg.
  7. YESSSSSS

Vlad, Thank you for the replys. I'm looking foward to a new Helo Sim and the screen shots are really nice. If your looking for a Beta tester, I'm Able BirdDogg.
  8. Mission Editor Please!!!!! This game really needs a mission editor, I know K. Bedford put out one and it's useful (i have it), but we really need a good, graphical editor. the waypoint placement is really a pisser using the editor I now have. I hope this gets addressed soon BirdDogg.
  9. Thanks Ranger, that does help. I wonder if Keith Bedford could incorporate a map like that into his editor? If the map would display base location that would also help in planning a mission. Once again Ranger thanks for the pointer outter BirdDogg.
  10. YESSSSSS

Good deal, Thanks for the answers, maybe you can answer two other question about the game. First: When are you expecting a release? Second: Will there be any kind of mission editor with this Sim/Game? Thanks Birddogg.
  11. YESSSSSS

Nevermind found it a Buka. BTW, this is the Company that brought us Echelon for those who have seen it. I own and thought it was pretty decent. The Graphics engine looks like that of Echelon, is it the same Engine? anyone., anyone :D BirdDogg.
  12. YESSSSSS

Can we get a link to a homepage for this one? Thanks BirdDogg
  13. Snapple, Maybe to better explore your own thoughts, I would pickup a copy of FLANKER 2.0/2.5 . I assure you that it will take so time to get proficient at it, however if your wondering about LOMAC and the Complexity of flight modeling, then you will find out why alot of folks are viewing LOMAC with much antisipation. Flanker models the SU-27 and Su-33 well and convincingly, 2.5 will let you have a go at Mig 29 as well. To add another demesion, there are Carrier landings. LOMAC builds on this Sim (minus the Naval aspect of Flanker) and will be adding more environment as well as Flight models. Although Flanker has a somewhat stale invironment, it is a great Sim. and If you 've never flown it, I would say get it, and by the time you become comfortable with it LOMAC will be released. BirdDogg.
  14. ^^^^ What he said! Plus, the beauty and detail of the aircraft. If you look closely you can identify almost every service panel, vent, fuel stain, etc. That was one thing that sold me on this sim way back before it was beta when I saw sneak peak screen shots on the Thirdwire site. My jaw dropped the first time I saw a shot of the F-4's aux air doors opened. I've never seen that before in any sim. Sounds like a simple answer, but as an ex Phantom Phixer it's the little things like that that hooked me. :D What they Said
  15. okay Dark Knight I'll bite What happend? BirdDogg.
  16. I'll take a Stab at it, I'd bet those running Win 98SE and Millenniun with non ATI cards are having the least issues. Just seems to me like win 98 does games nicely, without many headaches. Just a guess though, MJ care to jump in? BirdDogg
  17. BirdDogg’s take on Strike Fighters (Post Patch, Not a review) First of all lets back up the clock to about year 2000 I believe, when TK first announced this Sim. He stated that this Sim was not going to be an Falcon 4.0, or Flanker 2.0 type but more of a Sim Light. A Sim that would introduce the aspect of Flight Sims to the beginner. Mission accomplished ? read-on. Now getting beyond the 1st and 2nd release issues, and up to date with Service Pack 1. I myself, have always wonder what it was like to be in this era of Jet aircraft. Truly an era of Man and Machine. This is the era that I grew up in; building plastic Revell and Monogram models of F-4s and F-86s and A-7, and blowing them up with Firecrackers out back (laugh you did it too!), and you get my point. Now (Post Patch) with Project I feel as though I now know somewhat how a Jet Jock from the 60s felt…. … OH-RAH! Now since most of us are aware of the previous issues; there will be no reason to state them here. This Sim was meant to put plain old fun back into simming I believe it’s starting to do that! I’ve not been on the boards since the patch release because I been playing…. I repeat playing! And guess what? I’ve also been having fun. That’s the reason I do this after all. Some of us have been spoiled by other Sims, I’ve seen countless references to Falcon 4, Il2, and Flanker, (not Snobing FA-18 but I ain’t seen that one mentioned). But we know those are apples and …well ya know., not comparable in all fairness, different levels altogether. I haven’t seen many people comparing it to say, USAF or Fighters Anthology, Euro-Fighter Typhoon, or Jet fighter 4/5 for that matter where P-1 should fall. Why, because it’s better than most of those, and it cries out from within to be more than what it was supposed to be! TK shot him self in the foot, by making it better than Lite and yet not Hard enough. That is where the controversy lies within this Sim. Better then suspected, not quite as Hard as the crowd that's playing it I didn’t have fun with the initial release because I’m a mud mover by nature, all I wanted in the first patch was more stability, and some.. some ground effects and AAA threats (got it). I stayed in this sim for 2 hours straight last night (No CTD Win 98SE) getting a real feel for it (finally), that said I like it. Is P-1 complete? … Nah, still work to be done. Can I enjoy what I purchased? Yes.. Can I reccommed that other purchase it? … Yup. Because now it does what it should have done outta the box. I want to mention the Fighters Anthology series for a second (Because this is the series that best compares to Project 1 IMHO), more like US Navy Fighters-US Marine Fighters-Advanced Tactical Fighters-Nato Fighters- Fighter Anthology. I know, because I bought them all, in that order. Why? because they were awesomely fun! And the Mission Builder included gave this Series such replayability. The Flight models were not that good as far as realism but the series remained entertaining even to some of the more Hardcore. I had hoped that Jane’s USAF would have re-invented the wheel by putting FA in a new graphical environment, but nah, it was what it was, and stopped there. To Tk, Project 1 has the chance to succeed in this same way, I say this because I can now boldly use the word *Potential*. I’m not saying keep releasing a re-hash of P-1, but keep releasing addons packs and enhancements, Not Mods mind you, but features such as Mission Builders, Maps, Planes, and Units, true upgrades. This is the type of stuff some Modders will make I’m sure, but I think some of this will be better coming from the source! I know some have mention they are still having issues with CTDs and Multiplay; I can’t touch on that. Yes there is still work that needs to be done but it’s far from the Drink Coaster it was. So yes, mission accomplished as far as the patch and single player mode. I now look forward to seeing where we go from here. Just my take folks on the long road to getting here. thoughts? BirdDogg.
  18. MJ...Site Improvements

Mad Jeff, I just wanted to take the opportunity to say that I really like the look of the Home Page for this Site. You are doing an awesome job keeping up the site and BioHazcentral has fastly grown to be My Favorite Hangout. You da Man MJ!!!!! 8) BirdDogg.
  19. I believe the load times are going to be address with the patch (I hope). but yes, it happens to me also, just like you stated. As far as the key mapping goes, wait a little bit and FastEagle, Ranger or one of the other members from the board here will more than likely address that one for ya real soon. I know, I know, not much in the way of help, but the patch will be out next tuesday th 21st BirdDogg.
  20. I'm not ungrateful., but I am from Missouri BirdDogg.
  21. Welcome BBQ as the newest Biohaz Staff member!

    Welcome Aboard!!! BirdDogg.
  22. This Sim screams for an A-6 Intruder. BirdDogg.
  23. Whiners

Gentlemen, I know I have my whines and praises concerning P1, it equates to a love hate affair and we all know why. As good as it is is also as bad.... well you know the rest. :D Just release the patch so we can all see "Potential" become existense! This Sim has a split personality and I believe the community postings reflect the two distinct attributes of Project 1. Love it or hate it, however; until it's fixxed be prepared to see (but maybe not agree with) post from both side of the fence. If it ever gets fixxed, I think it will be a Hit, and a Classic for sure Be Cool about it until then guys BirdDogg. 8)
