  1. It was an RF-4E of which the pilots are still Mia Unfortunetly. Turkish foreign minister announced plane was 13 miles outside of syrian waters which is considered int. waters. Syrians say it was shot down 1 km inside... Stil int. law dictates warning and other actions before shooting afaik. Aircraft was of 173.filo recce from Malatya. Turkish side flies similar routes regularly, feet wet over Iskenderun on sw course turning back over cyprus.
  2. Doesn't TEWS RWR contacts blink when you are being Tracked? My RWR displays a Diamond around the current most important contact, and will correctly show a blinking Circle with Audio Warning when the contact FIRES. Sometimes I have a few SA-2 and SA-6 batteries around me and I get the audio tracking warning but I do not know which of these contacts are tracking me. If I'm not mistaken tracking radars used to show in the RWR? The Old Vector RWR work correctly on this respect.. (Playing on a STOCK full merged May2012 patch)
  3. Thanks for the quick fix RC, you the man
  4. Interesting fix actually, I'll have to try this...
  5. My trusty Thud bringing me home in one piece from our first mission in Rolling Thunder.
  6. I think it depends on the particular system. Most systems I've researched lately, is told to display low threats on outer ring, the only reference I found with the reverse order: http://everything.explained.at/Radar_warning_receiver/ "The concentric rings on the display signify different 'lethality zones'. The outer ring signifies that the threat is beyond engagement range (ie the range it can engage you, not vice versa), the middle ring signifies that the threat is within engagement range, the inner ring equates to a 'no-escape' zone. In the example below, the SA-6 and F-15 are both well within the engagement zone and on the borderline of the 'no-escape' zone. This ordering of the rings applies to the AN/ALR-69 found in, for example, the F-16. However, some sources claim the order is reversed on the AN/ALR-67, with the 'critical' zone being the outer ring. In many ways this would make more sense, because it allows greater spacial separation of the highest priority threats on the display, allowing the pilot a greater degree of angular resolution when determining the direction of the threat."
  7. Keep up the great work Sophocles
  8. Thanks mate, I had an untextured Hagia Sofia but the rest are new to me. I'll see what I can do.
  9. I'm thinking a definite patch issue, but perhaps dependent on hardware/mods etc.. I never had it with earlier patches.. The Graphics FPS doesn't show the drop, but you can obviously see the slow motion stutter. I think it's the game loop jumping in doing something that causes this...
  10. It used to be possible in the first versions of SF2. Last time I tried, you yourself could start on tarmac by manually editing MSN file. It's different for AI aircraft. The game seems to check if a human aircraft is on the ground and from the human aircraft's STARTTIME to a period of time (I think it was around 160-180seconds) will not let AI aircraft start on ground. These AI aircraft will spawn right above the runway in the air. And they should continue on their mission... This change from TK killed certain scenarios you could create for your Single Mission....
  11. I can export from Max to LOD fine but I'm terrible with the texture map. That's why some of the objects in Istanbul have no textures... So If the Max project is textured, it should be easy for me.
  12. This is weird. Tried it with stock F-4D and the Buc. both Avionics60 No stutter inside cockpit, but if I turn the cockpit off with the DEL key, stutters. Also stutturing in external views, only in some angles
  13. I can't make any sense but I got a feeling you are up to something
  14. If you can find/convert the models, definitely yes
  15. I installed the new reflection right away, thanks for the update Dels
  16. yes there should be one in the downloads.
  17. SF2NA comes with Tarawa and with many other new ships.
  18. I get it too. Like Ant says the Game loop jumps betwenn 1x and 2x. But this is not constant the stuttering comes and goes..
  19. hey Carlo, more than 2 different aircraft? (there used to be two callouts smallparking and largeparking) Modders implemented other ways to park much more types but if TW Stock terrain is showing this, then something new is implemented...
  20. No, where do you come up with that? It's been explained how to patch & keep your mods many times here. KB has an article on it.
  21. Has the terrain engine been optimized or is it just me? To get decent FPS over Iceland, I had turn turn the graphics down one notch now I have them maxed with no FPS hit....
