Mig31B, new version coming, much better lod, all fixed data, and some magic trick on AI that keeps it fly fast all the time. All you do is change the cruise speed to what you might fancy. Looking very good otherwise -

Edit the missioncontrol ini the Flight folder...you may have to extract it. My boys depending on their skill level will follow me down to 50m. By the way riding NOE is closest thing to sodomy! -

ATI card and terrain glitch
Stick posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
While the FPS is quite decent and consistent Ive noticed these glitches. I tried what was mentioned in the KB for the terrain but still came up dry....I was wondering if any fellow ATI(4570) users encountered the same and solved it. Could have sworn I read something exactly similar in the past! -
ATI card and terrain glitch
Stick replied to Stick's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I reverted back to the stock flightengine and terrain data ini and that seems to have taken care of it. What i had done earlier is dumped an install of WOI from my old HD(which ran on an nvidia card) onto my new laptop; so its tweak, tweak, and tweak some more! Just about got it patted down now and Im bushed...3:04am here;I think I ought to give the new lappie a rest now. Thank you anyway folks. -

512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570
Stick posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
My old Toshiba laptop lasted two years and has finally given up the ghost. Until I can afford a proper gaming rig I am thinking of a Dell Studio 15 as a stop-gap. It comes with a 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570, Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor T6600 (2.20GHz/ 800 FSB/ 2MB Cache),3GB (1X1GB + 1X2GB) DDR2 SDRAM. While I understand people do have issues when running the game on ATI cards, I am sort of stumped for choice as Sony is also offering a laptop with an ATI card for the same price range( a tad under $1000) and I havent checked out HP laptops in the same bracket. After sales service is also a decisive factor, and so far Dell seems to have that wrapped. So with reference to the above described card is it a good choice to run WOI with decent FPS( with all the eye-candy- but naturally!!!)? Man I so miss flying:suicide: -

Any agreement that hints at coercion is rendered inoperable and illegal; no self respecting lawyer would take the HA's case; its a loser for starters and they dont have a justifiable cause of action-its oppression for crying out loud. In fact it is the veteran who has a valid claim; he could liquidate those f***ers on principle alone!
