  1. The very same question I had, so I Googled it. If there are any serious mods out there for it using jets, then they are well advanced over the timelines I saw in the base game. I also saw there is a 4 & 5, with other off-shoots. Never did play any of the Civ series, looked to much like Sim City to me, but I've heard good things about it over the years...
  2. If it isn't a laptop, why are you even putting it into sleep mode? I can see if you want to save the monitor from burn-in, but the screen saver will do that. As there is no battery to save, I never put my gaming rig in sleep mode. I went to the point of changing power settings to never and never. Windows and hibernate or sleep have been imperfect sciences since they debuted in Win95, IIRC...
  3. Just shattered that 3 MILLION mark. Many thanks for hosting this yummy aero-geekery for us pointy-headed slobinikrons...
  4. I think TK was trying to get them to work correctly, hit a brick wall of some sort, and ripped out all functionality. Either that or a fix for something else broke it, like the "Y" key to lock your wingmen up. I miss that one more than the FAC...
  5. Yee-haw! The Habu lives! I can't wait to wind this puppy up, wall or no wall...
  6. A super-sonic Spectre? I could work with that...
  7. Yeah, yeah, what Marfor said! That will fit very nicely into the modern campaigns I've been flying for the last few months. VERY nicely! Is the Air Force going to get a little love, or is this a Navy show?
  8. Not that I'm aware of, but it took 9 years to get the save mission button, so I wouldn't recommend holding your breath...
  9. Shoot. I wanted my "Y" key back, but not at this price. 1 step forward, 2 steps back...
  10. But, and it's a big, fat, hairy one, it will never actually do FAC missions. That capability was torn out in the late SF1 days, and never worked in any SF2 titles. Sure, they never actually went in and marked targets, but having `em zip around the area was kind of cool. Added a touch of atmosphere as you ran in and saw him circling, along with the callouts for stuff he wasn't actually doing...
  11. Okey-doky, here `tis... CVN75.zip
  12. OK, Sabres and stuff, that works too. With a bit of tweaking, since you lads are doing the heavy lifting, I am sure I could create a more modern scenario...
  13. Well, I did a remote to my server at home and did a search via LogmeIn,and found a CVN75 directory from WarForIsrael for SF2. Would that do? If so, I can zip it up...
  14. The Wrench-man's description has me fairly salivating! I could dig a re-live of the ol' Falcon 4 days with all kinds of excellent jets, targets, etc. 2 weeks, yeah?
  15. Oh, hell yeah! I have had so many near hits while in the landing pattern due to this having gone away. Bravo! And what a coincidence. I just built a new gaming rig, and the first thing I installed was SF2:E. Took my first flight in the TSR2 on the range.
  16. A big +1 to that. Don't let some dimwads from another forum grief you, Ed. The fact that they have a bad case of cranial rectitus is their problem, not yours...
  17. That 2nd shot is just awesome!
  18. The Master of `what-if' strikes again! Looks like a very good crop, Spinners. Many thanks...
  19. I kid on the subject title, but this little demo from Northrop Grumman is just jaw-dropping, IMHO... The F-35 distributed aperture system (DAS) Or maybe Thirdwire could create a dedicated F-35 sim, yeah?
  20. ^^ This. ^^ I am still digging the stuffings out of this save feature. The fact that they are text editable, and singles allow mixed aircraft flights, it is the coolest darned thing since sliced bread!
  21. I also ran through the demo and was impressed with your two points. Graphically beautiful, yet sizzling framerates, a combo rarely seem together. It may be a little lacking in the realism sector, from reviews I've seen, but I may have to pick it up just `coz it looks so good. TK is supposed to be conjuring up some new terrain graphics, which I hope are comparable...
  22. Plus one to the above, I thought it was some kind of streak ripping by my `pit, like small arms or summat. The only trouble was that it was happening right after take-off, with no known enemies...
  23. Oh, well, the rear stab is, er, no... Ermm, that pod is, well, not it either. OK, I got nuthin'...
  24. Love that 1st trio of Alaska Eagles, looks like a pair of ghosts in formation...
  25. Long overdue aircraft for this series, and looking mighty fine Veltro2K!
