My personal Holy Grail would be a save button. Has been for a long time. Some of the campaign, and even the single missions, I would love to re-fly, as they are that good. I was tooting the combat-quick-turn for quite a while, but as stated there, is is all but useless if the combatants retreat the area after the clash, I have done the re-arm thing on the ground, and tried the refuel hack, but it just isn't worth it to go back and whack that SAM site if everyone has already headed back to the barn for Miller time. So now I am banging the save button drum. Rally round, boys!

I am pretty sure this is about the LODs not being included in the ODS mod for the A-10. WoV doesn't have the A-10, so it won't show up in ODS if you don't have WoE, which is the sim it was intended for. At least, I think that is what this thread is about, I would research previous posts, but can't be arsed to, considering the poorly phrased 1st post...

Very well stated, MetalMania. I also would get behind something like that. Maybe a poll on the 3rdwire site, choose the top 5, have calculations made, and a goal-o-meter. If it makes it, off we go. If the number is never reached, too bad, so sad. The latter would be a sticking point, but a refund would be a logistics nightmare...

Now that would like very nice escorting some Vulcans...

Can't have enought Spectres! This one looks boner-inducing. A good sighting system will be a BIG plus. Something like a screen while looking forward still, to decrease vertigo, would be bad-A!

I don't miss Snoopy too much, but would LOVE a Snoopy that worked! The switching cockpits dealio sounds cool, but I ain't holding my breath. There are other things I'd like to see more, like a save button for any mission generated...

Stephen Coonts is, indeed, a good writer. He even did a non-fiction a few years back about an aerial odyssey across the US in a bi-plane, "The Cannibal Queen." Very good read, but I've read pretty much all his releases and feel the same about most...

Wow! What a fine collection of aircraft photos! Do they need to be tossed in the menus folder, or in each aircraft folder? I did not see a readme.txt at all...

That is exactly what I have done before. As long as the *.SAV file did not get corrupt, there should be no problem. If you open WoE, Campaign, and see no continue, it is, unfortunately, so. Best wishes!

You do that too often and you'll have no choice but to fly solo before too long AOCBravo. I tried my 1st strike into Kuwait City in my 1st ODS campaign today. About mission 8, I believe. Tasked as a 2 shipper. As I knew the area to be hot, I got all able bodied, 80% or better, men into machines. Our 8 shipper went up loaded for SEAD bear! 4 made it back. The prior 7 missions it was just me and a wingie, not losses to that point. You know how the 4 got lost? Crashes. Not SAMs, not AAA, just gravity versus terra firma...

I would avoid the mention of CD cracks and stuff hereabouts. As to the saving of single, and even campaign missions, I have been "campaigning" for them since beta testing SF:P1. My newest tirade is over in the Thirdwire forums, go lend some support!

The ones I always rename after a re-install are the hangar loops. Drive me bug-s**t, they do...

Very thorough review, not sugar-coated, which is the way I like to write `em, and love to read `em! I still haven't bought it, as my magazine has shown no interest for a review, or existing for much longer, for that matter. Once I get a few bucks ahead, and as you pointed out, remarkably few, I probably will. Oh, and; That line slayed me!

When you know your way around the files a bit better, n00b, you can toss the "Duh" crap around, yeah? The reason the folder is needed is for the skins, and as the LOD is included in WoE, not WoV, there is no replacement, as no one here will post a LOD file for any of TK's creations. And get a new handle, that one is just lame...
