  1. Does it look anything like the PZL Skorpion? From the verbal description, that is what my mind's eye is conjuring, That, a few other things I shant describe in public...
  2. It pops into SF2 quite well. Well, the weapons are a bit of a challenge, but with some tweaking I got some conventional USAF weapons working well enough. Speaking of USAF-izing, anyone add decals to make these Air Force, The? I pretty much suck at that and skinning...
  3. I don't find it to maneuver too terribly badly. Compared to the Lightning, it's a turn and burner. Very nice job on this one folks, I appreciate the efforts greatly...
  4. I wanted to try getting the F-103 and the Spinners skinned Lightening into the same flight, but one will not carry the weapons of the other, so I tried to tweak them. If the requested jet in single can only carry a certain type, they aren't available for the other. Ex. AIM-4 doesn't go on the Lightening, nor does the AIM-9 go on the ThunderWarrior. So I rem'd out the StationSpecificCode on the F-103 by "// " on the line that read AIM-4, now nothing is available. Do I tried increasing the weight, then diameter, and finally length. Still a no go. Is there some other place that needs to be changed to allow an AIM-9B in 1965 for the TW?
  5. Just to put this one to bed, I did end up adding the StationSpecificCode=Aim-4 on the Lightening, and got the fully armed mixed flight I was looking for; I would have preferred AIM-9's on the F-103, because the AIM-4 sucks mightily, but this works!
  6. Beta 3, right from the source. The trouble is, ED has pulled their usual act of yanking something at the last minute and saying it will be added later. Nellis AFB, Groom Lake and surrounding areas are no longer in, and won't be in the release. I mean, how tired is the Crimea theater? They've been using it since Flanker 2! When I was beta-testing LOMAC, they did the same thing with the dynamic campaign. That never did appear. That is the main reason I took a pass on everything since, but I couldn't pass on the wunnerful Warthog! Here is the changelog;
  7. Of course, a 50/50 bet on which one to tweak, and I blow it. Cool, I'll try the F-112B Lightening and negate my prior attempts...
  8. That is how I usually do it, but the weapons available when you load the F-103 leaves empty drop downs when you choose the F-112B as a wing-doggie. If you Choose the F-103B on the single mission screen, accept, and choose 1-2 as an F-103, you got nothing again. See what I mean?
  9. This oughta be cool. In the magical year of 1965, where the Lightening and the Thunderwarrior overlap, 2 mythical beasts blast off for an intercept. Yeah, I gotta check that pairing. Many thanks, Spinners...
  10. The 431st has a new jet to test out, excellent!
  11. Hullo!?!? I lurves me some what-if aircraft. Have started conversion, for personal use, for SF:2, but what will I name it? Thanks for the heads-up Spinners!
  12. Hard to bulldoze the scorch marks off with the rest of the wreckage, innit?
  13. Ya know, I may just go grab my autographed copy of "The Warbirds" and re-read it, then come back for these babies. Yeah, that sounds like a plan. Thanks, gents...
  14. Spinners, my man, you must decrease the meds! Your prior endeavours were so inspired, now they just look plain, well, BENT!
  15. As an ex-Aardvark armorer, I approve of this package. What an excellent collection of airframes. Form the Vietnam era "A" model, through the soon to be retired Ozzie `Pig,' and a fine representation of everything in between. I've been flying the the 3rd wire versions since V1, and am loving the advancements. Many thanks to all who added to this fine package...
  16. I think its a combination of Gustav an fARMER. And yeah, very nicely altered screenies, bordering on looking real!
  17. This is a good question. I never did install the last patch, should I install it, then this one? Or will this one cover the whole gamut?
  18. Not a thing from what I've seen. Still my favorite thread on these fine boards...
  19. Looking beautiful! I just hope it is fairly flyable on normal, as I have had the worst time trying to get rotary wing aircraft to fly worth a hoot in this sim. Has TK made any changes that assist in this endeavor?
  20. That is why I love the F-19 that was crafted by the talented folks hereabouts. I actually preferred "Project: Stealth Fighter," which was F-19's predecessor, using the same airframe. It also had a very cool stealth meter, and I remember long solo missions to Budjevice, which I am sure I spelled incorrectly. I have flown a fair few campaigns, Operation Bear Hunt, in SF2:E in this excellent aircraft, and flashback 20+ years on many occasions. Wunnerful stuff!
  21. Ah, yes, the ol' GBU-130. Had a hand in the OT&E for it on the F-111F. Did you know that the "booster motor" is nothing more than an AIM-9 missile engine? It wasn't supposed to propel it, per se, just allow it to fall a bit more slowly/extend the range. Was pretty happening for a 1 ton class, back in the day...
  22. That is impressive! Especially that 16 shipper of black Tomcats. Let us know how your experiments go. I never upgraded to the start in the air patch, as I can live with disappearing wimgmen at WPT 8...
  23. I know what you mean. I was stationed at RAF Bentwaters from `80 - 83, and had the pleasure of seeing a few flyby. One time in particular I was in the EOR shack, and saw a smoky signature approaching. As the A-10's we worked on were all but smokeless, we hustled out to see what exotic we'd be treated to. It was a pair of Vulcans, and one actually did a full stop landing, as the other poured on the coals and roared over head. That mental movie has stuck with me over the years. Just phenomenal!
