  1. Inflight Map Icons

Ah, good. I had just tried them, and was to report they did not. Will try these, next time I get a shot at it...
  2. I call my combined jets compilation SF-Platinum. It properly identifies it, so I know what I'm firing up. I'm not trying to sell it, and the whole she-bang fits on 1 DVD. As soon as I burned that, and the add-ons started rolling it, well, that number has just passed 3 DVD's and counting...
  3. Just got around to checking out the newest (V1.7) version of the newest, grooviest USAF jet IRL, the F-35 by Klavs81. I have no problem-o rolling out, hitting the sky, and whacking baddies with it, but when I hit the F6 key to see how tight my wingie is, I see him wandering aimlessly in the grass like a unicorn or something. His nose wheel is pointing in the correct directions, and seems to be on the ground, sorta, but he and the others are just doota-dooting around, trying to get the nose pointed in the right direction, and failing miserably. Anyone else see this? Bad CG? I've putzed with a few settings to no effect. FM's skeer me. Help? I kinda like backup when the baddies are about...
  4. Did you check for typos in the DATA.INI WDH? Betcha there's a period where a coma should be. I do that WAY too often...
  5. I LOL'd here at work at that 1st line, ya weasel drivin' hill-billy, you! Unsure about the maxsteering setting, as that is at home on the game rig. I knew I should have copied it over to the server before leaving for work so I could run LogMeIn, but was running late. IIRC, it was 60, and the NWS lines did not show a negative number at all. Will check when I get home. I did change something about castor from true to false, as casters are unsteerable IRL, but that did not help...
  6. Yeah, I noticed about mid-November that it no longer had the month in its title. The burn-out fact would have been huge doing it every month, I am sure...
  7. That's the problem, B-Head, they aren't on this site anymore. Sort of like the helos...
  8. Ah, shoot. You are right, I had forgotten about where I'd gotten that. I hate to say it, but this segregation of aircraft is a real drag. It is hard to include an airframe in the INI if some others can 't get to it...
  9. Too bad they never got the Tweet. If any aircraft ever built screams COIN more than the A-37 Dragonfly, I don't know what it is...
  10. F4D-1

Just the new patch, CL, it is all inclusive to each sim. If you are going to combine them, like I did, do the patch for each before combining them...
  11. Nah, it will be the 20th, Inauguration day, and my birthday...
  12. That has always been a sore point for me, Blue Force SAMs suck rocks! I now remember why I did not do a full un-, then re-install, as I had things tweaked in to be half ways decent with SAMs. I love dragging some MiG back to base, and watching a few plumes reach out and touch them! No such luck, as even the Hawks aren't showing up on the "new" Bering Straits map. I just got to keep searching and fiddling, darnit...
  13. Cool! 2 bears in as many weeks? We must be living well. Many thanks Veltro!
  14. Black Projects

Nosir, I wouldn't even dream of such a heinous thing...
  15. Black Projects

Thaz a pretty lookin' T-38 single seater there BB. Got anything to tote the wife in laying around?
  16. Yes they are! Especially when they look as good as this one.
  17. Not to belabor the secondary offer from this download, but is this the viewlist that also has a rotatable F9-weapons view? If so, it is exceptional. Just installed it in my new SF-Platinum, all jet sim, install and it is excellent...
  18. Just another note on the nVidia front. I downloaded the Bear Hunter mission by paulopanz, and he included a new DBS_Data.ini. I tried it, and my shimmering is fixed. I don't know what he did, probably along the lines mentioned above, and it did work for this GeForce user...
  19. I did not want to taint the screenshot thread, but did want to comment on this; I don't believe I have ever seen that much variety in game, let alone captured in a screenie. What do I see? F-4, F-15, F-16, F-14's, and even a couple of F-106's? Outstanding!
  20. Just chiming in to say I am another nVidia user, 8800GTS, with the same issue. Flying on the Bering Straits map, sun reflection ares do the splotchy shimmer as well. Haven't done a blessed thing to alleviate, as I'd rather be flying!
  21. One MISSION? Wow! I am currently cobbling together a what if campaign with the Bering Straits map and more modern aircraft than DBS 72, like 2002! Best of luck ith your venture, I know I'll need it for mine...
  22. The same thing happened to me last night with a modern timeframe, as I bumped up the dates. Need to find something different for armor, I reckon. Ranks of immobile firecans versus MRLS was not worth flying 300 miles for...
  23. This is nice. This is very nice. The attention to detail is exceptional. I hope to take the DBS `72 campaign and modernize it to 2002, with a hypothetical, "sensing weakness after 9-11" type scenerio. It may become my new favorite terrain. Darned good job, gents...
  24. I hope I am not disrespecting your very fine work by my "Air-2a" magnet comment, but it is true. Ever since I read about, and heartily laughed about, this missile, while in training for the USAF, I envisioned a gaggle of Bears, and how it would turn out. More strikingly, even if it COULD work out. I am gonna rummage through backups to find this rascal in Bunyaps pack and re-install it in anticipation. The one-oh-wonder and Delta Dart are next on the nostalgia install list. Many thanks for allowing this to come to fruition soon, after over 25 years hoping to some day visualize the scenerio...
  25. Easter eggs, huh? Where can a guy get a good borscht `round here? Sorry, nisnomer, I maeant Hot Dog, komrade. Over by Wrench's toolbox, da? Yeah, I just hope I get some time this weekend to fly it, it just begs for the F-101, which I've yet to try here, as it's been yeatrs since I flew DBS...
