  1. Oh, no. I have seen the SAM site light up on occasion, and light up a wingie. I am pretty sure it only activates when you fire up an SEAD mission, and is easy enough to take down, but the dual SA-2's can do ya!
  2. Is there anyway to change aircraft, prices, etc. for a Merc Campaign? I'd like to fly a modern campaign with a mixed flight of say a Typhoon, Falcon, Eagle and an Aardvark out front. I may have to go check KB entries on Mercs. It maybe enough to get that 10th campaign fired up in WoI, as I am a quarter inch from burn-out...

  4. Make sure you are pointing to the correct CAT file in the terrain's INI. For WoV it is VietnamSEA.cat
  5. Oh, yeah, Mercs! I had completely forgotten, it has been so long since I tried to fly as a mercernary. Even that capability has gone away in more recent iterations.

  7. No sir. It is all or nothing in this sim in campaign, which is a shame, IMHO. In singles you can mix and match all kinds of cool stuff, and bring your own SEAD and escorters. Been asking for that and the ability to save missions missions, for a long time. Not likely to happen...
  8. I think in MP the FAC mission woulkd ROCK! Fast movers check in 20 miles out as you orbit away from the enemy. You break out of your circuit and head into where the bad-guys are hiding. Pop a couple of smoke rounds, have the kerosene burners dissipate the smoke, and any enemy therein, Check their egress for parting gifts, rinse and repeat. Yeah, FAC could be cool in this one, but would prolly take a whole new AI for off-line usage.

  12. It works quite well on the Typhoon, I must add. Load it centerline, and a few GBU's, let it light them a path to the enemy, primary or not...

  17. I worked weapons in the USAF for 14 years, and never heard of a laser guided CBU. The last one I recall seeing was in MicroProse's Operation : Stealth Fighter. Bunyap's and subsequent add-on munitions are based on real world, so don't know that there is one for this series, though I could easily be wrong. As to the block 60, is that not the Saudi jet? I believe that is out, but never flew it, so don't know what the `pit is like.
  18. Yes, the IAF Typhoon skin has been released, as I have it as default in my LebWar 2 campaign. You must have some typo or summat, as I have it twealed in to use Sparrows as well...
  19. I am going to have to concur with starfighter2, Zephyr sounds righteous! But, then again, I tried to promote Razor for the X-29, and that turned into a monumental hissy-fit, so what do I know?

  22. Ra'am and other 3rd party aircraft? You probably drug the folder from the aircraft directory of a different install. At least I have done that a few times. Unfortunately, you need the sounds that came with in the original ZIP file, which are probably in the sound directory of the install you drug the jet from. Does that make sense? I have had the same situation with effects as well. No AB's as the aircraft.ini's are pointing to a non-existant AB and/or sound in the WoI build you are using.
