  1. Same! I even had it with the doors open and a Maverick hanging from the trapeze. I had it hanging over my Commodore 64 rig for when I flew Project Stealth Fighter by MPS, naturally. Many thanks for the upgrade. One of the few I hadn't yet ported over, sounds like you've hit the points well!
  2. I hope I'm not giving too much away by saying that flat spins from 50,000' are not fun... 8)
  3. Heehehe. Halloween, classified mission, Trick or Treat, I wonder. What the heck, I'm always game for a laugh, and surprises can be fun. I'll play along...
  4. The range? Easily my most used area, but never take the runway as a target. You can't kill it. That and the cast concrete shape aircraft are all destruction proof. Planned for? I dunno, but that is the way of it. The "New Range" has boatloads of targets east of the runway area, and even a boat! There is a Medal of Honor's worth just ripe for the picking...
  5. My guess is in case you use the WoX one, it bones out, and you overwrote the prior one. As to the map, I only had one run on it before heading in to work this afternoon, but it looked right nice. Good job, Baltika!
  6. Wow, you've been a busy spook! Fired up a tour from a carrier, and was impressed with the new target areas. Had to take out the infamous comm building in mainland China. Popped down below the cloud layer after popping it with a Slam-E, right into the waiting arms of the Kutsensov and her escorts. AAA popping around, just off the coast as SA-2's started lighting off on my escorts. If the rest of the campaign goes half as well as this first exciting mission, this should be one of the best! Well done sir, very fine job...
  7. Yo, numbered Spectre, is this using the same map and nodes of your prior release? I love the modern aircraft, but that old map is just a bit lacking, ya know? Would love to see this planeset on the new map the BLT crew has been working on...
  8. Already done did that, but maybe under the incorrect topic. I would also like to whine about the CBU-87's and 97's. I have actually witnessed from an aerial platform the effects of those air-bursting bad-boys. Popped a pair on a platton of Arty's, obscured `em all, but they remained unscathed. Soviet super-steel? Will have to add that as well... ___EDIT___ Had to add the comment I was referring to, as I did not see all the posts since Dave's. As to SimHQ, I shant comment, as the feud between them and my site, CombatSim.com, pre-dates this bit of simulation satisfaction. I think it predates the predecessor, BioHazCentral, IIRC....
  9. That is pretty much where I'm exploring as well. Mav's I have yet to tackle, but have CCIP and gun runs going fairly well. Except for the CM rounds not being Combat Mix but Caramelized Marshmallows. I got 3 good runs on some BMP's before coming in to work tonight, the debrief shows hits on all, but no kills. Didn't even scratch the paint. I worked on the Gau-8 for 3 years and know those big buggers would have creamed those tin cans. No labels or anything, just a zoom in and nose close to the monitor, so I know they hit. Anyway, good fun, am digging getting back into a study sim, as it has been a LONG time!
  10. Preview in the next couple of weeks over at CombatSim.com as well. I am diggin' the stuffings out of flying out of Nellis. I just hope the Indian Springs annex gets a bit of loving as well, as I've flown in and out of there a few times. Groom Lake is usable, but could use a bit of tightening up as well. Have you done any ramp starts outside of the training, Dave? I had `em both spinning this morning, and watched then spool down as soon as I shut down the APU. This is not survey or light sim by any stretch. I have so missed these study types!
  11. Boo-yeah! You rock, man. I think I'll fire up a Tornado campaign in NF4+ tonight just to sport this snappy skin! Many thanks from a guy who can't skin his way out of a wet paper bag...
  12. Not necessarily RADAR, but radiation in general, as in sunlight, IR, etc. It is to keep things a bit cooler, and was first seen on the F-16 with it's massive field of view. You can see out, but it lets in a LOT of sunshine!
  13. Hey buddy! You don't suppose you could fix up an ex-WA jet wrencher, do ya? Was part of the 57th FWW, but the 431st TES up until 1992 when we stood down. The cool thing was that we flew F-111's, which are like the Tornados big brothers, in a cousin from another mother sort of way, ya know?
  14. Cool! Next try inverted, with AB's!
  15. OK, you missed my point. Sorry, did not mean to cap on your demo, was just wondering about the campaign coupling with this decidedly cool looking mission editor. I'm am pretty stoked to play around with it...
  16. Driving a force of `Hogs all the way to Peenemunde makes for a long trip. Not to mention all that red zone to fly over. Not griefing on the mission presented, just queuing up a question. I see a lot of these types of mission in campaign, and they border on suicidal. The question? Will these built missions be able to be strung together for a custom campaign? You know, save as mission 1, then 2, etc., and have the campaign system pick them up and run with them? I know it is a big stretch, but I bet you'd see some seriously tweaked campaigns being produced with things like A-10s hitting the front, not doing deep strikes, and finely orchestrated SEAD, Escort and strike missions. THAT would rock!
  17. Holy crap, didja notice all the red stencil-work on the underside? Labor of love? I forward pure lust as an option...
  18. As a lowly, untraveled clod-hopper from all over the US and certain parts of Europe in the 80's, I've no idea what that exotic, far eastern looking building is, but it looks mighty fine, sho `nuf...
  19. Sierra Hotel vid, FC. Looks like some old VHS stuff I took from a heli over the range at Nellis of our F-111's. Your vids? That one brief scene, with the mountains, and the trees, and the clouds. Major pucker factor, WHOA!
  20. I'd like to see a landing base that isn't the originating base! W00t!
  21. Boo-yeah! Wunnerful job, Mr. Dels, sir...
  22. Bless you, Sir Spinners! I made a Westernized version I call the Lavi-2. My painted on Israeli markings were a real hash-up, so you doing the tedious effort of getting the decal locations is a God-send! You are also correct in stating that this is a wonderful jet by Insky!
  23. Howzabout a US Air Force one? No, it never happened, but it should have!
