  1. I finally ordered one yesterday, as the local Best Buy didn't have any in stock. Should arrive at mid-week, so will be keeping an eye on this thread. The old X-45 is about ready to be retired... :(
  2. Have you looked in the aircraft's Data.ini file? Maybe they were changed during your install to a different name or summat. Look for EngineSound= and see what it says for each, and remember it is case sensitive. I am also unsure as to the exact line wording, as I am at work and am free-styling the general idea...
  3. Yup, I have an external drive with a fully patched up version of each sim. Copy over, add your ingredients, and create a new desktop shortcut for the latest install...
  4. The early jets take some practice, as they utilize the TAR delivery system. "That's About Right!" Believe it or don't, it gets easy after a bit, especially if you use a dozen bombs!
  5. I, for one, salute the MANY hours of hard work you've dedicated to this whole venture. Deep appreciation for being one of the main contributors to the cause over the years. If any one deserves a break, it would be yourself. Thanks muchly.
  6. Mod Mafia Presents...

Very finely crafted composition. And stuff. Who did that fine, original composition? It could be a top 10 hit!
  7. Sierra Hotel! I drove by the gates to Beale AFB 2 weeks ago today, just after finding an abandoned McClellan AFB museum. I never wrenched a recce jet, just armed aicraft, which, as a load-toad, makes sense. Definately a dangerous job flying and maintaining those rascals back in the bad ol' Cold War days. My hat is off to all of you...
  8. Whoa, dude, don't get me wrong here. It is a fine jet, and very worthy of comparison to the commercial product. Some do, indeed, prefer it, which is a very heavy kudo to you and the crew. It's not knocking yours to say there is a druther, ya know?
  9. Yeah, yea. I saw you pimpin' the stuff out of the other, but I was not impressed. It's not bad, but to each their own. BTW, did you see that my review of WoE hit the newsstands today? I all but bubbled and gushed, amidst the typos THEY added...
  10. I was not fnd of the add-on A-10 for 2 reasons. A> It was underpowered, top end in level flight at 5000', 250 kph. B> Sucked gas ferociously, the vaunted loiter time was halved. I really do dig TK's addition, as well as the F-15A. Some are smitten by another version of the latter, but I prefer the stock Eagle...
  11. That is some Sierra Hotel Viff'ing Kreelin!
  12. Seeking Advice

Well, I hope I qualify as I was into SF:P1 before the beginning. And it is a matter of personal taste. I also prefer the more modern aircraft, and am very happy with the range terrain, to shake out a new airframe, or after those regrettable month+ layoffs, like I just experienced. WoV `84 is quite nice as well, but needs some tweaks to work with WoE, as it is a stand-alone based on WoV. The Israeli terrain has always been great, and has been updated to a V1.4, especially considering current events. I would love to see a campaign, based on todays events. When it comes to airframes, things are in a bit of flux, as SP4+ has made a few aircraft obsolescent, at least if you want CCIP and sidewinder cue circles. Bottom line? It's all great! Just pick what you like for the vast array out there, and enjoy...
  13. I think the download and use of a paint program is just a wee bit beyond the scope of these forums. I'd recommend playing around with it, checking out the capabilities, then looking into the skinning aspect...
  14. I like it Sidewinder, especially you coiled up rattles on the tail.
  15. I like watching them go >POP< in the air on the way down...
  16. It rocks, rolls and r00ls! And Gramps even whipped up a hyper-fine USAF skin for it! It flies very nicely. Phantastic phictional phun!
  17. Whoa, sounds good. I could dig flying over a re-vitalized Korean map, been a while since I have at all. I look forward to seeing it as an upload...
  18. Who the heck wants to fly MiGs? They're targets!
  19. The EF-111A "Spark-vark" would round out any strike mission quite well, IMHO... :D
  20. Just FYI Sidewinder, they have a blurb about Customer Support on their "Buy" page. It is picture, so cannot cut and paste.
  21. Roger that, Will send a copy of these from home later...
  22. I went and checked out the site, it looks impressive, but has brought up some other questions in my mind. It refers to missions as "episodes". OK, fair enough, but does that mean single mission loads, or is this some new campaign style? Also, pricing, let me see if I got this straight. Base items, + 1st 10 missions, $25. Each subsequent 10 mission pack, $10. Total for 9 seperate mission packs, $90, plus original items = $115 total?
  23. The War In Israel

The Israelis have been pretty tight-lipped about aircraft and munitions utilized, which in MHO is a good thing, but I have been flying a lot of F-16 missions with Gepard's excellent Israel 1.5 terrain in the last few days. I found excellent skins for the F-16A Netz, B, C and D Bakreet. Strike flights in 2006 have been met by flights of MiG-29 and Su-27s. It is hard getting flights to the lebanon area, as most are versus Egypt. I hope that doesn't happen in real life. Any of you campaign crafters thinking of a recreation? Heck, I'd make one if the DCE by Lowengrin got updated for use in an SP4 environment ...
  24. :slow(en): D'oh! I knew that! I just have so many other buds in either Afghanistan or Iraq, I got confoozled. Korea hasn't been exactly paradise as of late either. Thanks for being there for us, wpnssgt, from a former wpnssgt, USAF, 1978-1992.
  25. You've got big brass ones, buddy! Glad you figured out that home on jam thingmie in a timely fashion. You don't usually get second chances in real life versus an SA-2...
