  1. Dangerous Waters Contest

Well, as a serious air combat sim junkie, I should give a rousing -P-f-f-f-t-t- at the mere mention of this nautical nuttiness. But since getting Silent Hunter III, I have re-awakened an old plethora of pleasures not experienced since Silent Service on the Amiga 500. It is hungry and must feed. Please satiate it's appetite. Thank Yew... :D
  2. You are a man of much patience, MK2. But I still like GhostRider's idea...
  3. Yeah buddy! Didja see that list? Yommy! I hope my meager observations were of some miniscule assistance...
  4. Why don't you check the reply to your 1st request before posting a 2nd, Maverick? DFang was kind enough to send something to your inappropriately named email adresss...
  5. You should unzip the contenets of the aircraft folder, ie F-111F, into the \Objects\aircraft folder. And if you are saving to desktop, good luck. You are gonna run out of room quickly!
  6. carrier launch

Are you going to full zone 5 `burner, then hitting the "B" (or your mapped brake) key? If you wait for it to poot you out, you're going swimming...
  7. There were no credits in the boxed version's manual. But there are in the front of the Digital Aspirin one from the late Nic Cole. Yeah, I'm in that one. :) I like my position in the FB manual better. Right after Stormin Norman...
  8. Shoot. I added the 3rd component, I had tried swapping the 2 before, and there is no change. Still slung under the chassis. I hesitate on trying to change the missile placement numbers, as I will prolly botch `em badly. How are you reading the LOD file?
  9. Well, I got lucky and found a few hours to putz around with these thingmies, as I am really hyped on getting some Western SAMs in this simulation. Preliminary indications are not so good, unfortunately. Not one missile reached out to slap down a MiG in the test mission I cooked up. They were a little fa-klemped, or grounded, if you want to get technical. The Chaparral is a no show. More tweaking required, but it is beyond my hopelessly limited INI editing skills. It's super cool to see some NATO SAMs in game, these things will rock with a little TLC. Much appreciado to Pasko for getting them this far!
  10. SU 39 Flyable

Well, I reckon if you try the Lock On forum instead of the Wings over Vietnam forums. I, too, am guilty of this over on the LOMAC forum...
  11. Got `em! Installing now. This should rock! Gonna see if any show up of their own accord in the `Nam `84 test scenerio...
  12. Yeah, baby! SAM support for the US? Sierra Hotel, I can't wait to mess up it's install...
  13. You are SUCH a tease! >slobber< Yesh, please! :D
  14. Nukes

It is in the newest weapons pack, and compatible with the F-111F Aardvark, and FB-111A Switchblade. Both excellent add-on aircraft, but I'm biased...
  15. Shee-oot. We really need some Western/US SAM's in this arms race, as they are woefully deficit at this time... :(
  16. Smoke Generators

Is it the AIM-9 shape? I reckon, though only putzed with it once, that you cycle through A2A ordnance `til selected, depress pickle button for smoke emission...
  17. Nukes

The AGM-69A SRAM is absolutely too much fun! I recommend against it... :)
  18. I know the feeling. I just wish TK would realease something in the way of a patch. Besides, I've been doing quite a bit of UnterZeeBootin' as of late...
  19. Very nicely done! Didn't understand a word of the theme songs, but they went with it all very nicely. Taxiing out was a cool thing, and the MiG-21 landing as you waited on the taxiway gave it a good feel of real. Did you use FRAPS for capture?
  20. On the exhaust side, the horizontal tail structure also obscures the heat sig for SA-7's, and their ilk. Agreed on the A-9 and Frogfoot resemblance...
  21. The long drought of flame-lessness is now over! I wiped it all and started from scratch, as I believe my mucking about caused more harm then good, and alas, I have the proverbial dump and burn! Here are a pair of my ex-squaddies beholding the Zippo effect, up close and personal; McNally, it may be that you don't have the entire equation, you also need to; Hope you get it working, it is a hoot!
  22. Nukes

This is the main reason I have not tried to make myself a nuclear phoenix. There are just times where the finicky little rascals just don't want to guide. You can see when. If it comes off the rails, and just scoots along, it's gonna self-destruct! If it goes out, and twitches a bit like it just woke up, you have a winner. I think it's one of the coolest immersion factors in this game. Saying a litlle "please guide" prayer as you hit the pickle button! With a nuke attached, the prayers would be extremely fervent!
