About Me
I figured it is about time that I let a little info out about myself. I am 77 years young and consider myself somewhat of a hardcore flight simmer. Started this hobby in 1998 and have not regretted one minute of it. Have had all the better flight sims at one time or another and have settled with what I consider the best for my sim world: IL-2 1946, Off, RoF, BoB2 and FS9. Currently IL-2 1946 is the only sim that I fly on-line and only so far with members of a sim flight club that I am a chartered member of, here in the San Diego CA area (www.sim.flite.com). Also flew on-line some with a group called the FreeBirds (Falcon4) many years ago. I have considered joining an on-line squad, but so far have stayed with my friends and by myself off-line.
I retired in 1992 as a manager of a large art and editorial department after working my way from illustrator to graphic designer and art director while contributing to my income showing in galleries here in Southern California. Prior to my art career, I was in the US Air Force.
I would encourage those of you that live in SoCal (and others) to take a look at our club site noted above and consider a visit to one of our monthly meetings. Belonging to a group of like-minded simming friends is a blast and a Saturday that I look forward to each month. Sim clubs are a great way to share PC and flight simming knowledge and good fellowship.
Looking forward to continued forum threads with all of you.
