Ok here is the truth. Ive been playing flight sims on the pc ever since the days of "CHUCK YEAGER". I have a confession. I dont use rudder pedals or a seperate throttle controller. Ok now that that is on the table, here is the question. I have the chance to get my first set of controllers, and I was wondering if I should get them. Thrustmaster F-22 Pro joystick F-16 TQS throttle controller and rudder pedals I have always had a joystick but never the other controllers. Ive looked at throttle controllers recently but most of them are mounted with the joystick, and I would rather have them seperate. Plus most of the stuff at your retail stores just look cheap.These actually look pretty sturdy. If I could get some input about these devices from the guys that I know are quite familiar with flight controllers, that would be great. PS: Very limited funds, so I cant buy brand new controllers

Im sure that I will. The only sims that I play now are Strike Fighters, IL-2, and CFS3 only when im really bored. Should hopefully have it in the next week.

Great! That is exactly what I was hoping for. Everything sounds as though it is a good system. Id say im definatly going to get them. Hopefully this will add a whole new view to my sim experience.

I just read that the f-22 joystick is difficult to program because it uses DOS. Would this be a problem for a DOS illiterate person like me or are there new ways to program it now. The page I read wad pretty old.

Are the F-16 TQS Throttle controller and the rudder pedals USB ports.

Jumpy isnt the word for it. Shew. Dont scare me like that. Well I know that i am looking forward to LOMAC just as much as I was for Strike Fighters. Just the thought of it not being released is enough to send a lot of people to there grave. lol. Its been a long time since we have had a good modern day sim. If LOMAC got canceled i would hate to see how long it would take to get another. But it sounds like all is good.

Another question. What would these three controllers cost approx. if I bought them new today?

Ohoh. No LOMAC website. No LOMAC video this week. Now Im starting to get a little worried.

Actually I have a question I forgot to put in my own post. Are these devices compatable with WINDOWS XP HOME EDITION?

Hey Cowboy, the EB(electronic boutique) website has it listed. It looks like they pushed it back to 9/4/2003. The publisher is Xicat Interactive which is the same publisher that did Janes Attack Squadron. I went to Xicat's site but couldnt find anything on the new sim there. EB does have it listed as Janes Civilian Flight Sim. So it looks like we will be waiting for a while, if it makes it out at all.

Wow! Looks great Crab. This was also the A-4 I wanted to come with Strike Fighters. Glad to see someone is on it. Cant wait to fly it. Keep up the great work.

Actually I think they do have a civilian sim on the way this month or next. Dont know how good Janes will do on a civ sim though. Guess well just have to wait and see.

Unfortunatly Cowboy is right. Sometimes I wonder what these people are thinking. I dont think they are. These are the same people that would protest if we didnt have any military action, and then we had another Sept.11. Only then they would be protesting that the government didnt do anything to prevent it. These people just want something to bitch about. Mant of them cant see past there own nose, or they are doing it just because they think it is cool. Well I agree, we should ship them all to Iraq or Korea and see how long they last. I bet they would be glad to come back to a free country. Then when the traitors want to come home we tell them to f*** off and slam the door in their faces. Grrrrrr! I have to stop. Im getting way to pissed off at the moment. Ill go calm down and check back later.

That is quite an assembly of allies. Did not know most of those were involved. Maybe most of the former soviet countries feel as though they owe the free world a little something. Or maybe they are trying to show that they have armies that can fight like the rest of the world. (unlike the french) They might even be out to prove something to Russia sense Russia doesnt have the money to support their own army. Whatever it might be, at least someone out there is an ally. It seems most of the stronger NATO countries are to timid to commit troops in a modern world of anti-war, anti-government rallies.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to begin modding my own planes? I have no experience at all, but would like to get into it.What program should I get, and how do I get it? Can it be downloaded?

I love NASCAR. GO MARK MARTIN. How is the new season for the pc? Last years was pretty good. If they made a lot of improvements Ill most likely buy this years.

I am very interested in modding, but I dont know where to begin. Is there any hardware, books, or magazines out there that give a step by step, play by play on how to mod? Especially for Strike Fighters.

I would rather have a late, finished game than a on time, not finished game. Such as Strike Fighters was when it was released. Even though now it is a great game and getting better. I would rather have a great game at release.

Actually for some reason after I give my info to Hyperlobby and submit I recieve a general error message. So I cant register. Can anyone help me here? Is the sight having problems?
