Why is everybody bugging out from SF series?

YAF never had Floggers -
Well considering what the so-called post-Soviet era brought to Russians he might not be on a bad road with that. Looking at pure economic facts, since his first year in power GDP started growing, unemployment started falling, population below poverty line more than halved, they produce more electricity, more gas, exports are rising...all very good indicators. After the Yeltsin debacle during the 90's where transition brutally devastated not just Russia but whole Eastern Europe, I don't think Russians have it bad with Putin, I mean it could always be better but...

I wouldn't even agree on this

Let's be honest and admit that ED does A LOT of recycling too, even more so than TW. If you followed Lomac from the start like TW games then you had: LockON 1.x LockON FC LockON FC2 LockOn FC3 with very little changes if at all in general content, most of the changes were patch level material truth be told and each installment costed way more than any of the TW games, and if you wanted anything really new you had to pay a lot, A LOT more for it. So while like I said appreciate what ED is doing let's be clear and honest on what you get for what amount of money... -
Wow now I kinda feel like a pu*** to even mention my jumpers knee lol

Damn I hate knee injuries, I had my first one this summer, actually a wear and tear injury - jumpers knee

My Projects (EricJ)
Brain32 replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
Hi Romflyer, yes there are in total 4 variants of legacy Hornet cockpits but also new external models. Unfortunetly I can't say when but I'll try to really kickstart it when I deal with some RL stuff, honestly I expected release before Summer but...yeah butts are nasty. I hope it will go out in the coming weeks...not months, but since it's not only up to me(I only did the cockpits), I can't promise... -
Looooooooooooooooool so whiteknight....lesbian dating you say? Although sometimes ads can generate silly stuff, I got offered a new Honda on quite a few occasions although I never searched, asked or got interested in one...

Can't say I noticed massive bugging out really, we had summer, some have exams, real life obligations, other games(not always flight sims), etc. etc... Not that I like the "Wings over keys" approach mind you... -
In habitable zone? Interesting, granted that does not mean other conditions are met but still...interesting.

Why You Should Check Out Flaming Cliffs 2 (and the entire DCS series for that matter)
Brain32 replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Probably my s**tty explanation what I meant by that is that ED has a wider range of offering, you have more complex add-ons and less complex add-ons while TW is offering a singular, uniform level of complexity granted at a lower price but even for those who would pay/do want more complex stuff he simply does not offer it - that's what I meant by "elasticity of the offer" but I guess it looses the meaning when I make literal translation from my language... -
Creating Cockpits

Oh yeah coffee and in my case still(unfortunately) cigarettes Also those moments after you get into it and learn more and more when you realize how unnecessarily hard and complicated were some of your own techniques before you learned the easier way -

Sure but the thing that bothers people about TK's DLC system is lack of elasticity of the offer to put it in crude economic terms... -
Creating Cockpits
Brain32 replied to FLOGGER23's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
First and foremost you need a good drawing of the pit you are going to make, either some kind of (preferably) high res diagram or a drawing from a manual(usually foldout section in the NATOPS manuals for example)... -

Call me stupid but I don't understand one thing about all this add-ons... Does ED have to approve all add-ons for them to work or one can add whatever he makes and it will work instantly like in SF2 for example... -

OK this is my list of reasons why not right now(but maybe later): 1. I can't run it half-decently, even if I could it would be at a level of detail where stock SF2 would look epic. 1a. I had LOMAC on CD(yes that's CD) as soon as it was available in my country(I got to play it few years later because of #1.) 2. In reflection to 1a, it's still the same 6-plane over same freakin terrain, no actually it's 1 plane as I hear and.... 3. 50$ for a decent add-on??! No way, atleast not now... So in reflection as I previously stated, sure I'm glad it's here, I'll be happy if it goes on for a long time but I don't see myself joining that bandwagon anytime soon. -
Math in public

However DLC's are all variants and not new planes, closest one to the "new plane definition" would be M5BA which was like...awsome... -

Shell modifier? Shell freakin modifier??? I so want to kill myself now(not really but...) this is the best freakin modifier EVER, when I just remember the way I modeled the canopy bow on my F/A-18 cockpits....ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHHTT -

Not a Helicopter game huh? Shot him down with a Stinger, to my amazement the missile locked not on the fuselage but exactly on the engine...really cool mission. -
