  1. Does the SCUD in this sim fire at all?
  2. Understandable. I mean if we use AI to cheat then it is not hard to simulate a missile intercepting another missile. But we won't call that as "simulate" do we? If we design using realistic trajectory and guidance to simulate that will be too much of work. So I tend to believe that will not be likely to happen! Blimey! Many thanks Stormtrooper!! But I think it requires payment. The site is password locked!!
  3. The only missile intercept that is simulated is found in LOMAC. Cruisers shoot down incoming SS missiles. That is impressive and realistic actually.

  5. Hi Lexx, Good to hear from you again. Just now I am trying to mount AGM-84A onto the B-57B. I can mount it on. But I can't fire it!! It requires a target before I can fire. I mean everything is so strictly setup in this game. Quite difficult to do what you want to do in this game even you know how to hack the INI files. Tough!
  6. Credits go to Lexx_Luther and those who have helped me to understand how things worked in the weapondata.ini ... etc... "Sudden Afternoon" Looking from my cockpit, my ship was very far away.. The visual is spectacular. What is really amazing is the dust on the ground surely that covers quite a wide area of destruction.

  8. Yesterday, I was trying to get a feel about how to do a modification to a naval vessel. I changed the PatrolBoat_Data.ini to include the Styx SSM. It shows up with the Styx around the CG of the boad and the whole thing looks weird. So I can now imagine in the case of the SCUD, you will have to make the launcher and the missile. O, that's too much work and I don't have 3D Max Studio, I don't think I can do it myself. In the past, I modified Falcon 4's SCUD missiles and because they are already made in separated parts I could easily change the characteristic of the missiles and get everything done. Now I can't do the same to the SCUD in this game.
  9. I was looking at the MLRS download, and it relates my mind to Desert Storm. Why can't we use the desert in the SFP1 terrain to create a Desert Storm campaign ?

Aparently, a US B-52D carrying nuclear weapons has inadvertantly targetted the airbase....." I hope you like this headline caption. Enough for screenshots. Thought a video would be more fun and easier for you to perceive how good the work of Lexx_Luthur is. The video is about 5 minutes long. Took 14 minutes to convert from a proprietary codec to .wmv format so it is readable/viewable by Windows Media. The screen resolution of the recording and in-game is set to 1024 x 768. Graphics quality has been optimised. That's why the framerates are slow somehow. Pay attentions to the radio chatter. When you heard "Bombs away..." you will notice that I've panned out to the "World View" by Ctrl+F12 and zoomed out as much as I can. I should have Time Compress to let you see how the mushroom cloud further develops into a very thick and widely spreadedout clouds. The weather is set to "CLEAR" but if you look up from the "point zero" into the sky, you only see the nuclear clouds. I wish to shorten the time for conversion so I cut the recording short.   11. O far from this. That doesn't compare to this. F4 as I heard before, has inherited one big problem is that the LOD is structurally ill-formed for all 3D models. The lighting effect is weak also. I haven't played F4 for a very long time and I have no intentions of going back to the sim. I had played it for 7 years.

  14. bigal1: I'm going mad! Mental! Whatever you call it!! How do you detach that missile from the launcher's rail? The stock SCUD-B_DATA.ini says nothting about these 2 parts of the whole SCUD-B laucn platform. Please tell us how do you do it, or at least some hints? I really want to obtain the details.
  15. It doesn't look like a stock SCUD. Let me look into the download section to see if I can find something useful.

  18. I downloaded a mod for groundobjects. The readme states: "Groundobjects update for SP4 patches. Just drop these (if you have installed any of these) in your the main folder of the afore named ground objects and overwrite. Or if you want to do it yourself There is a whole new format for groundobjects. Your mods are not gone you just have to "reformat" them to the new way. No more is a groundobjectdata.ini needed, now you can install just like aircraft. Open up the main.ini of whatever groundobject you want added. Add these lines at the top....(xxxxx being the name of the object) [GroundObjectData] ObjectFullName=xxxxxx ObjectDataFile=xxxxxx_data.ini So for example [GroundObjectData] ObjectFullName=FROG-3 ObjectDataFile=FROG-3_data.ini Once you have converted all of your objects delete all and any groudnobjectdata.inis and any data.ini you have hanging outin the main groundobject folder as they are no longer needed. I have included Paskos SAM's Kreelin has converted. Just drop into your groundobject folder and you are set. Enjoy USAFMTL" So I am trying to understand what is a main.ini.....

  22. I am obsessed with the visual effects that's all, because no Flight Simulation has given us this before. World in Conflicts does provide some nuke effect though. I also find the threads are too scattered around. Please if it is not too much of a troubel to you, group them in one topic or whatever. Many thanks!
  23. So for all 3 games SF/WoV and WoE, there are no surface to surface missiles which are AI driven?
