Thanks PR, but it's done already. I created a new USAS nation in the Nations.ini so the USAS will use two decals. The larger white disc for early USAS insignia and on August 1, 1918 it changes to the smaller white disc for use with the SPAD13's. -
Here's a small base for campaigns at Ostend (German Side). It's one of 4 WIP for now. You can try this one out. I will be populating them more. BTW it uses the Flanders terrain. Follow the folder structure for install. Remember to renumber the MarineFeld Ostend "Target" and just drop in the new Airfield.ini right into the Flanders folder. Ostend Marine Airbase.zip

I've been working on that too. As for the date I'm not sure. It would have to be late July or Early August when they swapped for the SPADs. From what I've read The N.28's were done by August 1, 1918 due to overwhelming casualties inflicted by the Fokker D.VII's. By the 8th of August the First Pursuit Group was re equipped with the SPAD13 -

Apparently there were a bunch of N.28's with 147th and 27th Aero squadrons that carried the French tail markings right up until the swap to the SPAD13's in August. So I made the 27th and 147th Aero squadrons to keep the French Markings on the rudder w serial numbers. You could just copy the "Right Wing.bmp" from the 94th's skin folder if you want the USAS white, blue, red rudder markings. -
Great once again Stephen. Awesome and rare addition.

Thanks. I had to go back and fix a few things before I posted them. And I couldn't stand how the 95th Aero's "C" Flight nose turned out! So I had to work on it a bit more. Now it's much better. Oh the little thing are what get you! -
Well don't get me wrong, I am very content with my FE2 install(s). I for one wouldn't want to change or lose ANY of it. I sure as heck wouldn't install anything new that would compromise all the work I have put into my mods. Most of the things wrong with FE2 are things that used to work for the original FE. The code has already been written, just deleted for some reason or another. I'm sure TK could find away to fix these minor issues for us without wrecking our installs. But I completely understand that it would be very time consuming to get it right and for what?, to make 20 or so people happy? I can understand why he wont spend the time or money. So like I said I can live with what I have. As you all said before, there are some great modders here that have brought this sim to an almost unrecognizable state then it's original release. I find this sim to be not just a game but my hobby as well. All the others to me are just games. Bring Back Our Changing Weather TK!

I understand the complexity of fixing or changing code. One thing effects another or negates something else. But it would be nice to see a patch to fix a few things that are out of our reach. The weather for one would be a huge fix. Allowing single aircraft element in the formations.INI for those lone hunters in the early years. It would be nice to add different aircraft in the AirUnit parameters in the campaign mode too. Since most Jasta's used a mixed bunch of aircraft at any given time. And Shipping! Get shipping to work right. Fix the Movement.INI for the different terrains. Oh and bring back the Damaged engine sound. They are other fixes that would be welcomed. We don't need a Expansion Pack or Upgrades. Just fix up some of the old stuff. We are all in agreement that we'll do the rest. My two cents.

Hello Raven. Nice work. I tried it out on a Nieuport24 for FE2 and this is how it looks. The mount is a bit too big and the gun itself is placed too far back. Would your smaller mount work better for use in FE you think? -
That wouldn't be that bad of an idea
-
Just remove them from the Object/Aircraft folder for now so they wont show up in single missions like that. Atleast till I get the right data up for you guys. Been busy with the Nieuport 28's but just about done.
-
I was working on that and it does work. As Ojcar said there does need to be a new "Nation" added to the Nations.INI and a new parameter needs to be added to the Formations.INI. Both are found in the Flight folder. The best that could be done with the formation of airships is 1 to 2 airships at any given time. Sometimes only one will show. The programing doesn't always allow just a one aircraft formation. Let me get back to it to make sure and I'll post something.

Are the "Airbases" placed around or between ships then? Or at least the WWI_Airfield.ini in the terrain folder should have us take-off and land around ships, I assume. Either way it sound very cool. Looks like I should make up some MFJ Albatrosen too. The Naval 3 Pups and Naval 10 Triplanes will work well with air start single missions. If I make a couple of airbases around Ostend and Zeebruge and a couple on the good guy side, then they can be used in the Flanders terrain. This game never ends.
-
Does your Naval terrain have any land? Or just all water? It's a shame the "Shipping" only works when creating a single mission.

Another beauty Stephen1918! It's nice doing a coastal patrol at the northern tip of the front lines.

Ok, I think I'm done w the decaling. I'm just trying to fudge w the "C" flights blue cowl bands. From the top they flow smoothly but from the sides they have sharp bends that follow the contour of the cowl mesh. Pretty hard to fix. But other than that I'm done with creating the decals. Just need to start the numbering process. Enjoy the pics. Note too the randomly different wheel and strut colors. -

First pic is of 95th Aero "A" flight. I think it's done. Way too hard to get diamond perfectly wrapped around the forward cowl. And the other pic is what I have so far for each of 95's flights. A little touch up still needed but damn close. -

There are four decals on the cowl for the 95th Aero and only for A flight and C flights. B flights red and gold spiral is only Right side and left side. Lets just say so far there are 75 decal locations in the decals.INI and close to 700 decals in the decal folder of each of the 4 groups ( 94th, 95th, 27th, and 147th.) Naming these decals and getting them all to match up by number is going to take a few more days. As soon as I finish up with the 95th's cowl decals I'll finish the decals.
