The D.III OAW and D.V and D.Va had factory applied lozenge fabric. But not the D.III. Possibly covered in lozenge for repair work im sure. But I have never seen a pic of an original D.III covered in this way. I'm not saying it didnt happen, just that I've never read about it or seen it.

I just posted 3 new AviatikD1 skins. They are 3 skins from my previous Aviatik skin pack only with newly painted engine cowls. I continued the Hexagon patterns from the fuselage up onto the metal nose panels. I only did 3 because it does take a long time to line up the shapes. But the skins will fit Stephen1918s' Aviatik-Berg D.I (Late with cockpit mounted guns) and the Aviatik-Berg D.I (Early with the guns mounted in the forward engine compartment on each side of the engine cowl. I think the Readme might be a little confusing because of the different ways to install them. If there are any problems please post it here or PM me. I will be happy to help.

Aviatik-Berg D.I skin pack hexagon cowls
quack74 posted a topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2 File Announcements
File Name: Aviatik-Berg D.I skin pack hexagon cowls File Submitter: quack74 File Submitted: 28 October 2012 File Category: Other Central Powers Aircraft Skins Since there is a Part 1 and a Part 2 to my original Aviatik D.I skin packs I'll call this one "Part 3" There are three new ( Well, updated ) Aviatik-Berg D.I skins for two different models. I have continued the Hexagon camouflage pattern on the fuselage up onto the forward metal cowl panels. I only did three versions (takes too long to do more). One pack is for the Aviatik-Berg D.I ( Late ) with the two Schwarzlose guns mounted in the forward Cockpit The other is for the Aviatik-Berg D.I ( Early ) with the Schwarzlose guns mounted in each side of the forward Cowling. Can be added to my earlier Aviatik Skin packs 1 and 2. Both model versions can be found in the FE download section under Aircraft Models. The Aviatik-Berg D.I models were created by Stephen1918. Looks fun. But a D.III with Lozenge Camo? Hmm. I like the terrain.

I'm posting a few sound mods that I have been using lately. Thanks to Spiny Norman for kicking this off for me. I've added sounds to Stephen1918s' Infantry of yelling and gun fire when they charge and chatter and light gun fire when they are static. All balloons will have a sound effect of light wind and crows with background artillery. Geo's horse and wagen objects will have a sound effect of galluping and horse vocales when in motion and just horse vocals when static. And finally some birds chirping, light wind, and far distant artillery shelling for some airfield ambeint sounds. I think thats it for now. I hope you all can understand the readme files I've added to the download

Just working on a couple of Hansa-Brandenburg C.I's with hexagon camouflage. I have read documentation that several of the C.I's have indeed been painted in this way. But I have been unable to find any pictures for any details in pattern or colors (would be hard to tell anyway in B&W) So I'm just using what ever I think would go well with the terrain. They look awsome in my "Battle of the Piave River" campaign of June 1918. Need some more weathering and some more details, but I'll post it within a week or two. Thanks to Stephen1918 for the awsome C.I model!

You can add as many aces as you want in the campaign Data.INI. And you can even change the aircraft at a specified date. But you cant have one ace fly a Albatros D.V and another ace in the same Jasta fly a Fokker DR.1. At least as far as I know. I've never seen any parameters for that. But If I remember correctly TK once told me that it wasnt programed for that.

The Hansa-Brandenburg C.I skin pack has been posted **Panama Red, having different aircraft appear at the same time on an airfield can only be done in Single Missions. You can select any aircraft you want to be in each flight as long as the aircraft have the same mission parameters (in the aircrafts' DATA.ini). The Aviatik D.I has "Recon" or "Army-Coop" as well as the Hans-B C.I. So they will fly the mission together. Too bad it cant be done with campaigns. Many Flik's as well as Jasta's used a mixed bunch of aircraft all the time.

Hansa-Brandenburg C.I Hexagon Camo pack
quack74 posted a topic in Thirdwire - First Eagles 1&2 File Announcements
File Name: Hansa-Brandenburg C.I Hexagon Camo pack File Submitter: quack74 File Submitted: 25 October 2012 File Category: Other Central Powers Aircraft Skins This package contains Skin and Decal folder for Stephen1918's Hans-brandenburg C.I models HBC1_200 and HBC1_230. Both found here at Combatace in the First Eagles download section under Aircraft Models. The Purpose of this download is to create the hexagon style camouflage used on the Hansa-Brandenburg C.I in 1917-1918. I have never seen a picture of a C.I marked in this way but I have read documentation that it has been done on several models identified by thier serial numbers. Colors and patterens are somewhat speculative. These skins are Not entirely fictional. Enjoy, Quack74 Click here to download this file -

I did some work on a couple of Aviatik D.I's also. I added some paint around the cowls like I did with the Hans-Brandenburg C.I. I only did a couple of them (Another huge task thats why I'm only doing two or three). But they look good and I'll post them with the HB C.I's very soon.

If I may say...Freakin Awsome!

No, I got it Panama Red. Great job with this mod. You should post it as a sticky on top of the threads.

I dont change the weather mid mission, but rather when the mission is complete and I get back to the hangar screen to prepare for next mission, I hit Alt/Tab to get back to desktop. Then I select another weather pattern. Click back the game icon in the taskbar and continue the campaign with new weather for the next mission. Does the number generator create random weather? So i wouldnt have to change it manually every mission? where exactly do i put the Number Generator? Into the new " MODS" folder? Sorry I've must be a bit confused. I know you've explained to me acouple of times now.
-
I got it all up and working. I just want to know if it is supposed to work the way i have it set up. Using the "Mod" enabler ( leaving it open on the desktop), I can only add one weather setting at a time? And the only way to change the weather is to finish a campaign mission, hitting Alt/Tab to get back to desktop (not exiting the game) and swapping the current weather folder with a new one, then click back to the game to start a new campaign mission? if this is the way to do it then I can live with it. It's nice to finally have a choice with the weather. But without it being selected at random for me I cant see selecting anything in the bad weather category. Dont get me wrong Panama Red, this mod is awsome. But whats the point of the "random number selector? Am I missing a step? Great job though Panama Red! Great thinking with this one.

I think I'm finally done with the Hansa-Brandenburg C.I's. I've only done 4 Hexagon camo versions for now. The orange and yellow one is the most accurate I believe. But each color scheme will have two versions. A plain metal nose and cowl for one and the other will have the hex camo covering the nose and cowl panels. A HUGE task if I may add . Lots of cockpit and observer pit detail (from external view). But I think they look pretty damn good so I'll post them for you guys tomorrow sometime.

Very excited Panama Red! Been waiting a long time to see the days go from better to worse
-
I think I can live with that!
-
Well if you can get that crazy idea to work then I owe you a drink my friend! Or a skin of your choice perhaps?
-
For real?? or are you just speaking theoretically Panama. Because I will try it if you think that would work. It's kind of bland when the weather is always the same.
-
It would be nice to see a patch that would bring back changing weather for campigns. How hard or time consuming could that be? It was in FE and FEG.

Here are a couple of movies from my game. Thanks to SpinyNorman, I've added new sounds all over my terrain. In the video's you'll hear birds chirping around the airfields and horses coming from geo's wagen ground objects. In the "chirping Birds" sound effects I've added some distant artillery too. Also I've added a "Charging Infantry" sound effect for Stephen1918's infantry. When they move you hear them yelling. When they're stationary they mumble and fire few shots. They also have some artillery sounds in the background. Turn your volume up a bit to hear everything. These are just quick videos, so I hope you get the idea. Oh and there is the "Siren" effect by SpinyNorman around the airfield in one of the videos too. My Movie.wmvMy Movie 2.wmvMy Movie3.wmv
