  1. I think these skins are all from Flik 41J. There is 8 skins in this pack. Thanks to all of Laton's hard work on this model and the original skin. I have notice if I have a flight of 8 of these planes ready to take off, my frame rates almost freeze. This is the only plane that does this. But once I get in the air it loosens up. Anyone know why that is? I'll post these skins soon. I dont know any info on the planes or pilots. So if anyone has any info.
  2. Hansa-Phonix's Skins Flik41J

Did these two types ever meet? Russian Nieuports Vs the Hansa-Phonix? Or the Italian Nieuports? I really dont know much of the Austro-Hungarian front. But it looks good in the Vogesen terrain. The mountains need to be a bit higher though. With a snow line. Hint Hint. Need a Alps Terrain. I dont know anything about Terrain editing. The Nieuport 11 skin was done by Monty CZ in Feb'07 And the Hansa-Phonix by Laton recently I only tweaked the skins a bit
  3. I was just wodering if anybody has fixed the Vogesen terrains actual ground level. The virtual ground level is good but the physical ground level is a few meters lower than the terrain in most places. The airfields are ok. But when your forced to land in a field somewhere you end up under ground. So I was wondering if anyone had a fix for this. I know it's an old terrain. But it's a nice one.
  4. Vogesen Terrain question

    Will do. Thanks Gepard.
  5. I really hope I'm not taking away from all you other skinners out there. I've been buying lots of books and doing all kinds of research. So I'm kind of addicted to it now. Adding all these skins to my game makes it so much more realistic. So I just want to share my skins with you all. But I know a bunch of you out there like to do skins as well. If anyone wants me to chill out for a bit please say something. I've just had some time on my hands for the last few months. Well sort of. An 8 month old girl isnt free time Works been slow. So I'm a part time stay at home dad Skinning and research is what I've been doing on any spare time. Just today I've realized how many I've done. 16 Jasta 11 Dr.1's looks pretty good in the game Now if we only had an in-game MISSION BUILDER WITH CHOICE OF ENEMY AND SKINS. That would make this game really pop!
  6. I tried messing with the D.H.4 template today. It's a bit rough. Needs lots of work. But I'll keep at it. To start, the outlines are off. This one will be hard.
  7. If the flight model works, than I'll be happy to give it some new threads. Dont know much about the DH4. I'll need to find some info on color schemes. But I'll do it. Sooo many planes in WWI. Sooo many skins! Hope this simm lasts awhile Actually I hope my Photoshop and computer lasts.
  8. No.209 Sqdn Camels 2 pack

    Version

    180 downloads

This is a pack of the No. 209 Squadron Sopwith Camels of North France, 1918. It contains the generic skin of No. 209 Sqdn Camels (red nosed) And one skin of Capt. Roy Browns Camel B7270. The 209 Sqdn skin is really just a guess. I havn't seen any other photos of 209 Camels. Only that of Capt. R Browns. But they do look good anyway. And we can't let Roy fly alone now can we. Anybody with info on these skins please feel free to let me know. I'll be more than happy to edit these skins.

  14. Vogesen Terrain question

Thanks Gepard. I changed all the numbers. It's much better now but not 100%. Still some tiles are lower. Most are perfect, some lower. These pics are from after the # change
  15. Thanks for that list of possible opponents bucky. Now I know what skins will work with the Star Strutter. The Vogesen terrain should be close enough for now I think. Has big "hills" Laton, this one is awsome. And it works! I know of a bunch of skins already for this one.
  16. I just installed the DH4. What a mess. The flight model doesnt work! And the skin template is very vague. Anyone atleast have a good flight model for this? The skin I can work with. It will take some doing though. If there is no good flight model I dont know if I'll bother just yet. Which tripes do you want? Earlier with white or later with bars and olive ?
  17. Well I guess there's no stoping now D.H.4's and Scouts comin up And bucky, I'm not sure of the colors of those Naval 1 Tripes yet. The color profiles show white everywhere. But that photo you showed me they dont have white. Anyone care to shed some light on this. I already started making them with all white trimmings. Just want to make sure before I post them. Again everybody thanks for the kind words . I'm glad you all like them so much. Now I need to go shopping for a new hat that will fit
  18. For everybody who downloaded the Jasta 28 Albatros DV 2 pack. I made a few changes to the tail section. The hinge line has been moved forward a bit so the control arms now appear on the elevator. I've edited the download so if you want to change yours just download it again and overwrite the original. Hess' green DIII and DV of Jasta 28 are coming soon
  19. File Name: New Jasta 7 Jacobs Dr.1 Better looking File Submitter: quack74 File Submitted: 3 Apr 2009 File Category: WW1 Aircraft This is a new version of Jasta 7's Josef Jacobs' Fokker Dr.1 450/17 mid to late 1918. This to me is a better looking and cleaner version. Just overwrite your existing skin (if you already downloaded a previous J7 Jacobs skin). Or creat a new install. I know, this will be the third one. But this one to me is much better. Enjoy, quack74 Click here to download this file

It's possible this aircraft belonged to Erich Just. Due to his later Fokker DVII markings and a photo of this aircraft at Lechelle airfield. If not (nobody knows for sure) than it still makes a nice addition to all the Jasta 11 Dr.1's. Enjoy, quack74 Click here to download this file
