  1. I'm with JonanathanRL, I don't care where the pitot tube is. That kind of thing is for the rivet-counters and mod-Nazis. I don't have the first clue about how to make models, I am just grateful to the people who do, so obrigado in advance, guys.
  2. The pitot tube thing never worried me, either, it was a rivet-counting dispute, I think. A-Team stuff is freely available to anyone who signs up over there, like here, and I never understood the issue about that either. Either way, the Viggen is a great looking aircraft, and I'm looking forward to this updated version.
  3. Looks great, the Viggen has always been one of my favourite aircraft. If this model is by Anders, isn't it the same model which has been available for several years from the A-team? The one with the pitot tube in the wrong place.
  4. I am enjoying the TW P-51D model, it is far and away the best-looking P-51D model we have in SF. But I have some concerns about the FM. Published speeds at various altitudes are fairly accessible for the Mustang, and most sources say that the speed at SL was 355 mph, or 368 mph with WEP (308 kts or 320 kts IAS). I can't get it to more than 300 knots. This is with a full fuel and ammo load, but otherwise clean. The top speed was 437 mph at 25,000 feet (253 kts IAS) or 440 mph with WEP (255 kts IAS) I can't get it to go more than 240 kts, with or without WEP. Does anyone else find this, or is everyone happy with the FM?
  5. Thanks, Wrench. I meant indicated, not true. I understand the difference, I usually work off the on-screen display for de-bugging things. Sluggish is the word. I know it wasn't a dogfigter, but the P-51D was low-drag ship, and it should pick up speed faster than this, I think. I may have a go at re-doing the enigne power segment, and see how it goes.
  6. You also need to look at the roll moment figures due to roll rate (aka roll damping) (Clp=) in each component with AeroCoefficients. In the LeftWing and RightWing, for example, it is Clp=-0.0224. Increase the size of this number from -0.0224 to (say) -0.03, and make corresponding changes to the other components, and see how it goes.
  7. Looking great! This will be a fantastic additon to all the PTO aircraft which are being released for SF2.
  8. I noticed 3 things: 1. The Loadout.INI should say HVAR, not 60lb-rocket, as Wrench says. 2. HVAR's have a start year of 1944, so if the mission you are flying is earlier, they won't be available. 3. And the coordinates of some of the rocket stations look wrong. The Left and Right stations 1 and 2 look fine (the numbers are the same, plus or minus to be on the left or right wing respectively). But the coordinates for 3 and 4 Stations look wrong: [LeftWingStation3] AttachmentPosition=-0.233,0.249,-0.583 <-- probably should be -3.719,1.249,-0.316 [RightWingStation3] AttachmentPosition=3.719,1.249,-0.316 [LeftWingStation4] AttachmentPosition=0.23,0.249,-0.583 <-- probably should be -3.463,1.249,-0.362 [RightWingStation4] AttachmentPosition=3.463,1.249,-0.362 Hope this helps.
  9. Outstanding, mate, thanks a lot.
  10. P-47N-15.7z

Outstanding new model, thanks Russo. It looks great!
  11. Thanks a lot, Russ, I'm looking forward to it.
  12. Great looking work Russ, thanks, looking forward to the new version. If you are working on the P-47N to animate the cowl flaps, can you also have a look at the pylon node name for the fuselage drop tank? There seem to be two in the current LOD, called FrontTankClamps and RearTankClamps, and if no tank is taken on a mission, one or the other still shows up. The aircraft would look cleaner with no stray pipes hanging off the belly on short-range missions. So could you maybe amalgamate these two meshes into one, so the CentrelineStation could have ModelNodeName=TankClamps.
  13. Great looking aircraft, thanks Russo. The detail on the new bump mapped rivets is incredible.
  14. The He-111 has vertical bombs in its bomb bay, and in its Data.INI is has a line: [bombBay] ..................... AttachmentAngles=0.0,90.0,0.0
  15. Keep up the good work, WBS, we need more of your ships. Do any current ships have bump mapping or specular mapping? They are targets you fly past at 300 kts. I can't see the point of that, it is only going to affect frame rate.
  16. No problems, it was a very small typo. It's a great looking ship. Any plans to retrofit this great looking ship to its Korea/WW2 standard, by the way? No missiles or drone, but plenty of guns.
  17. Great looking ship, thanks WBS. I found one small typo in the Names.INI file. [ship004] should be Name=USS Wisconsin, not Name=USS Wisonsin.
  18. Maybe MR is "MissionResult". So to get the first promotion you need 5000 points and 5 successful missions, the second promotion 10000 points and 12 successful missions, etc.
  19. Thanks Paulopanz, I had missed the Missouri. Got it now, though.
  20. Great looking BB Missouri Where is it from?
  21. The Formations.INI file looks the same as before, I can't see anything in it about carrier task forces. And these isn't a new NavalFormations.INI, or anything like it.
  22. Vickers Gunbus

Great aircraft, thanks Stephen. And if I forgot to say it before, I love your recent WWI armored cars too.
  23. Gun Jams

Unjamming is common in FE and FE2 (there is nothing more anxious than hammering on your guns in the middle of a dogfight). The default keystroke is UNJAM_GUN=U. Not sure if it is implemented in SF2, but then none of the SF2-era aircraft had guns which the pilot could fiddle with in flight.
