Yeah it is a terrain problem, i had it too, scan the knowledge base, off the top of my head i think you need to alter the sea height level or something in the terrain INI, but dont take my word for it, look it up -
Happy birthday lads, hope its a good one for ya

Congratulations mate, well done!

I like your idea What about also providing basic flight training for people new to the sim. I know when i put my mates on SFG to have a bit of a fly around they really struggle to get the hang of it. If you want, ill draw up some basic missions such as takeoff's, landing, basic flight skills, stuff like that you know? Also, online training might be good, say in a MP game? Could get some of the more experienced gamers in to lend a hand at training. If i knew how to get SFG online i would certainetally lend a hand. -
HAHA i think it was two years ago when it rained so much, that the airshow was cancelled and cars where stuck on the airfield!

Last great airshow i went to was Waddington international air show. Great day, lots of aircraft from all over the world on static display and also in flying displays. If you get the chance go, but be warned, only one main way to Waddington, and there are tailbacks as far as the eye can see. If you decide to go, send me a PM and ill give you a route that brings you out about 5 mins from the base, it will cut out about half an hour of traffic.

Good fitness plan that i followed. I had my sights set on joining the royal marines so i began training to get for it. Then i was told by my parents i couldn't join because they dont want me to. Dream job, as well as pilot that is.... CIRCUIT: 1ST SET- 2ND SET- 3RD SET - 15 Press ups - 20 Press ups - 15 press ups 20 Knees to chest - 25 knees to chest - 20 knees to chest 20 Squats - 25 squats - 20 squats 4 pull ups - 6 pull ups - 4 pull ups 20 Alt Knee to elbow - 25 alt knee to elbow - 20 alt knee to elbow 15 box jumps - 20 box jumps - 15 box jumps 15 tricep dips - 20 tricep dips - 15 triceps dips 20 half sits - 20 half sits - 20 half sits 10 lunges (each leg) - 20 lunges (each leg) - 10 lunges (each leg) Monday: Morning - 30 min run Evening - Circuit Tuesday: Morning - 45 min run or 30 min bike ride or swim Evening - Circuit Wednesday: REST Thursday: Morning - 30 min run Evening - Circuit Friday: Morning - 45 min run or 30 min bike ride or swim Evening - Circuit Saturday: Morning - 30 min run Evening - Circuit Sunday: REST MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE REST DAYS TO RECOVER OTHER WISE YOU WILL BE EXHAUSTED AND UNABLE TO CONTINUE TRAINING FOR A PERIOD OF TIME. This training schedule requires you to push yourself to your limits. If you feel like stopping, push yourself harder to just keep going. Also eat a balanced diet of fruit and veg and all the other good stuff for you. Drink plenty of water to avoid de-hydration either while running or once you have completed your training. Good luck

What was the problem? -
Theres something like that already called dogfights or something like that, where they get computer simulations to re-enact the dogfights of the past and talk about the aircraft and maneuvers that where involved in the fight.

I can remember it was about 3 weeks til the end of our time at our school and we where having one last big match before the end of the year because we had exams the following two weeks. After about 5 mins of playing everyone on the field looked up in amazement because the Vulcan was flying over. It was one of the sights ill never forget. The noise it made, and how slow it was, was just amazing. The shape as well, just brilliant. Im glad to see it back. How come its going to Brize Norton and not to Waddington? Wasnt that where it was based once the re-work had been done?

Went for my interview last week and they have formally offered me a job as an Aircraft technician Just got to get a small medical issue checked out by a specialist and im good to go, well thats if i pass my fitness test. 6.5 on a beep test. Hopefully if i get the job i want to be working on either the Super Hornet (should be on squadrons by 2010 if all goes to plan with production and stuff) or the Hercules, Apparently you get near enough double your salary if you get deployed, And the way i see it is that with the Hercules you will be deployed most of the time.

Oh no its ok, he will get in touch with the defense force over the weekend. Thanks anyway
-
Ahh right ok, well ill pass the word onto him. Cheers

So true, RIP TO ALL WHO DIED ON D-DAY regardless of nationality
-
Dont suppose you would know this, but my friend wants to join up but has a nut allergy. Would he be able to join the ADF?
-
Sweet man, hope you have fun with it, its easier to fly with a joystick, and more enjoyable. Happy B-day by the way

that would be such a fun job working on an aircraft carrier. Especially with the US. ON board with Hornets taking off on deck, man what an experience that must be. Suppose it would kind of become a pain in the arse after a while though, especially when you are trying to sleep -
Nope i havnt been given anything yet, i just sent off my medical report today back to the recruiting center so ill hopefully hear something from them this week about my fitness test. After that, its enlistment then off to RAAF Base Wagga for basic training and employment training. All together that should take just over 60 weeks. Nope, im not really into the whole university thing. I do alot of leadership around school so they said that was a big plus but if i was going for direct entry pilot wait until im like 18 and try to get some flying done privately. Im really looking forward to it. Thanks for all your support guys. Oh and thanks for that link haha. Now i can understand what my dad is sayin when he comes home or talks to me about the ADF
-
Yeah i was going for pilot, but it turns out i have to complete year 12 yet and there would be no certainty that i could get in going direct entry pilot, as most people who do go in direct entry already have their PPL. So im going to do this for a while because it was my second choice and has been throughout my life. Also, to be a pilot you need a type of maths called Maths B. It was a big pressure on me because it was so hard. So after i got offered this job i changed out of it into an easier maths. Im going to get my PPL when im in the air force, then after 6 years ill go for pilot again.
