Damn, I really liked him. Mollie Sugden died too today. Probably only the Brits will remember Mrs Slocombe and her pussy!

Edit: Blimey it works! Thanks a lot mate.

I think my favourite would have to be Thriller, but I like playing 'Spot the Celebrity' in the Liberian Girl video! btw how do you embed a video rather than posting a link?

This one truly belongs with the Angels. RIP.

Many happy returns guys!

Lucky so and so. We had .303 Lee Enfields when I was in the cadets at school in the '80s! Got to use SLRs when we had open days or camps though.

Just got back from seeing it. Thought it was great - the guys who played Spock and Bones were spot on, Kirk could have used some more.....pauses, in his SPEECH...patterns, but was otherwise OK, and I liked the way he was hitting on every girl in the movie! The only things I didn't like were Simon Pegg's Scotty, thought he was too much of a comedy comedy character, and the fact that there wasn't enough of the classic theme tune, although I do realize why they saved it until the end. Hope we see some Klingon action in the next movie!

And surely those grounded Flankers are a vote for giving the plane an A2G capability? -
Anyone have this WW2 pilots?
allenjb42 replied to X RAY's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mods/Skinning Discussion

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7892294.stm Sounds like both crew are OK, and there were no problems with the weapons or reactors which is good news. Presumably the heavy seas prevented them from hearing each other? Or maybe they were too busy trying to avoid Carl Stromberg's big submarine catching oil tanker!

Not really into bikes myself (although who can resist watching Steve McQueen try to make it over the Swiss border - what was that, a BMW R-75?), but a guy from work left us a few months ago and is now riding from the UK to either Vladivostock or Seoul. According to his blog he's currently somewhere in Azerbaijan... http://two-wheeled-adventures.blogspot.com/

WOE 2009 (Operation Bear Hunt)
allenjb42 replied to EricJ's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - Mission/Campaign Building Discussion
Great stuff Eric. Looking forward to flying the campaign. Now, is it still going to be for WOE or are you moving it over to SF2:E? -
More than the new trilogy, what really peeved me was the remake of the cantina scene when they made out Greedo shot first and Han was just defending himself. He's a hardened smuggler for f**ks sake, why can't he take out the bad guy first? That's what I would have done in his position. Edited for spelling!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery Vanessa.

Just saw this today when I couldn't get onto the site to check what I've missed over the last few days. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8049780.stm Shocked and saddened are the first things that come to mind. As well as all the MSFS stuff, they had a nice little archive of Thirdwire mods, some of which never made it over here. Hopefully thay can get the site back up in time, but why would anyone want to do this? What could they possibly gain from such a senseless and malicious act. And if everything on the site is lost, probably a lot of it hasn't been uploaded to other sites, so in addition to the work put in by the site owners/admins, think of all the man hours by the modders that have been lost for no good reason whatsoever. Next question: could such an attack be successfully carried out on CA?

N Korea issues warning to Seoul
allenjb42 replied to Erwin_Hans's topic in Military and General Aviation
I know I posted this in another thread a while ago, but it seems appropriate, and a good reason why the Allied airforces may not have things their own way if the balloon does go up. Nah, not really! -
N Korea issues warning to Seoul
allenjb42 replied to Erwin_Hans's topic in Military and General Aviation
Looks like this one needs a bump: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/asia-pacific/8069457.stm N Korea threatens military action North Korea says it has abandoned the truce that ended the Korean war, amid rising tension in the region.... -
Congratulations to you and all the family!

FA-18D
allenjb42 replied to william07's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Lol - I can see the logic of posting this specific question there though! ps The Mirage Factory are working on the F/A-18D IIRC. -
We had Pearl Harbour last night on the BBC, and Lawrence of Arabia and Where Eagles Dare this afternoon and tonight. Don't think it had anything to do with the US Memorial Day though.

I want to know what C5 was really googling to come across this story!
