  1. File Name: Asian Mi-24 skinpack File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 31 Jan 2006 File Category: SF Helicopter Skins Strike Fighters/Wings Over Vietnam Mi-24 Skin Pack 4: Asia All credit for these skins goes to their creators as listed below. All I've done is to re-format them for SF\WOV and add a textureset to each skin. As a courtesy to the skinners I've also included the original readme files in each folder. Neither Sri Lanka or Mongolia are included in the standard NATIONS.ini list, so I've left them as Soviet. It doesn't make any difference to the skins' appearance as there are no decals to worry about. If you have the New Nations mod that includes these missing countries then feel free to modify the relevant TextureSet. FYI: Pakistan does not fly the Mi-24 operationally. This aircraft represents a captured Afghan defector that was retained for evaluation. You might want to use it for special ops cross border flights in the upcoming India-Pakistan terrain.... All you need to do is to extract the skin(s) you want to your Objects\Aircraft\Mi-24 file, then go fly and blow up some stuff. Thanks must also go to the A Team for making the Mi-24 for SF\WOV, Tim Conrad for the original Mi-24V for FS2004 and the following skinners: Afghanistan 1990 - Mike Pearson Afghanistan Northern Alliance - Rene Spaan India - Rene Spaan Indonesia - Mike Pearson Indonesia subdued - Mike Pearson Mongolia - Mike Pearson Pakistan - Talha Siddiqi Sri Lanka - Mike Pearson Enjoy, and good hunting Allen ps You can use these skins in any mods, campaigns etc, but please name check me and the original skinners in your credits as a courtesy. 6. File Name: Strike Fighters Israel Music Pack File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 4 Nov 2005 File Category: SF Sound Mods Strike Fighters Israel Music Pack Readme This music pack is intended, as the name suggests, for an Israel or Mid East installation. I hope this pack provides appropriate menu music for your enhanced enjoyment of this great game. Installation: If you want to keep the original music you need to backup the following files from your Strike Fighters/Menu folder: MainScreen.wav SingleMissionScreen.wav HangarRadio1.wav DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilled.wav OptionsScreen.wav All you need to do then is to extract the files in this pack to the Menu folder, load up the game and enjoy the music. Track Listing: MainScreen.wav - 'The Road to Jerusalem' from 'Cast A Giant Shadow' SingleMissionScreen.wav - 'Israeli Air Force 50th Anniversary Theme' HangarRadio1.wav- 'The Raid' from 'Raid On Entebbe' DebriefSuccess.wav - 'Yerushalayim Shel Zahav - Jerusalem of Gold' by Naomi Shemer. This version is from 'Schindler's List' and performed by The Ramat Gan Chamber Choir, Tel Aviv, Israel DebriefFail.wav - 'Im In Alu - If The Doors Are Locked' by Ofra Haza DebriefKilled.wav - 'Chom Yuli-Ogust - July August Heat' by Shlomo Artzi OptionsScreen.wav - 'Janes IAF Theme' I've included a document with translations of the songs in the debrief screens, as well as some biographical details of the artists/composers which can serve as a starting point if you want to get into this in more detail. As a resource for the campaign gurus I've also included .wavs of the national anthems for Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon. Maybe someone can use these and release some Arab/Israeli campaigns? Finally, I've included two bonus tracks that you can rename to use as music for any of the screens: 1) Shir Hapalmach is an instrumental of the song of the Palmach - the forerunner of the IDF 2) Another version of 'Yerushalayim Shel Zahav - Jerusalem of Gold,' performed this time by the Dor L?Dor Singers and it is probably a bit closer to Naomi Shemer's vision of how the song should be performed. All of the above music tracks are free downloads from various record company websites in various formats and have been converted to the correct format for use in game by me. There are therefore no file sharing issues in respect of this music pack. Enjoy. Allen Click here to download this file
  7. File Name: Strike Fighters Training Music Pack File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 4 Oct 2005 File Category: SF Sound Mods Strike Fighters Training Music Pack Readme This music pack is intended, as the name suggests, for a Modern training installation, although it can be used for any 1980s and afterwards installation, especially if you're flying USN jets. I hope this pack provides appropriate menu music for your enhanced enjoyment of this great game. Installation: If you want to keep the original music you need to backup the following files from your Strike Fighters/Menu folder: MainScreen.wav SingleMissionScreen.wav HangarRadio1.wav DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilled.wav OptionsScreen You may also need to backup the loading.wav in your Strike Fighters/Flight folder if you want to use one of the loading .wav files All you need to do then is to extract the files in this pack to the Menu and Flight folders as appropriate, load up the game and enjoy the music. There are also some bonus tracks that never made my final cut, but you may like to use them. If so then rename them by deleting bonus from the name and then put them in the menu folder instead. Track Listing: MainScreen.wav - 'Main Theme' from 'The Final Countdown' SingleMissionScreen.wav - 'General Quarters' from 'The Final Countdown' HangarRadio1.wav- 'Danger Zone' from 'Top Gun' DebriefSuccess.wav - 'Top Gun Anthem' from 'Top Gun' DebriefSuccessbonus.wav - dialogue excerpt from 'Top Gun' DebriefFail.wav - 'Mighty Wings' from 'Top Gun' DebriefFailbonus.wav - dialogue excerpt from 'Top Gun' DebriefKilled.wav - 'Memories' from 'Top Gun' DebriefKilledbonus.wav - dialogue excerpt from 'Top Gun' OptionsScreen - 'Take My Breath Away' from 'Top Gun' loading.wav - dialogue excerpt from 'Top Gun' loadingbonus.wav - dialogue excerpt from 'Top Gun' All of the above music tracks are free downloads from various record company websites in various formats and have been converted to the correct format for use in game by me. The dialogue excerpts are free downloads from various .wav sites on the net. There are therefore no file sharing issues in respect of this music pack. Thanks to Dfang for getting me into the music biz, so to speak. As an added bonus, I've also included a selection of unit patches that you may wish to use as desktop shortcuts to your Strike Fighters training install, and thanks to Wrench for his inspiration in doing this (imitation being the sincerest form of flattery!). Start off by extracting the icon you want to your Strike Fighters Training folder. Now, if you haven't got one already, you need to make a shortcut on your desktop by navigating to your Strike Fighters training install and right clicking on the green aeroplane icon and selecting 'send to desktop'. Next go to your desktop and right click on the green aeroplane icon that's now there, and rename it Strike Fighters Training or some such. Then right click again on the icon and select 'properties' and then left click on 'Change Icon'. You'll see a browse button that you need to left click and then you can navigate to where you extracted your chosen icon and left click on it. You'll need to select 'all files' in the 'types of file' box. All you do then is to click 'open, ok, apply and ok in that order. Your chosen icon will now be on your desktop and you're now just a double click away from some gut wrenching dogfighting action up against the best of the best.... Enjoy. 8. File Name: Strike Fighters WWII Europe Music Pack File Submitter: allenjb42 File Submitted: 19 Sep 2005 File Category: SF Sound Mods This music pack is intended, as the name suggests, for a WWII Europe installation and provides what I hope is appropriate menu music for your enhanced enjoyment of this great game. Installation: If you want to keep the original music you need to backup the following files from your Strike Fighters/Menu folder: MainScreen.wav SingleMissionScreen.wav HangarRadio1.wav DebriefSuccess.wav DebriefFail.wav DebriefKilled.wav OptionsScreen All you need to do then is to extract the files in this pack to the Menu folder, load up the game and enjoy the music. There are a couple of bonus tracks that never made my final cut, but you may like to use them. If so then rename them by deleting bonus from the name and then put them in the menu folder instead. Track Listing: MainScreen.wav - 'Main Title' from '633 Squadron' SingleMissionScreen.wav - 'Final Mission' from 'Memphis Belle' HangarRadio1.wav- 'Theme' from 'Battle of Britain' HangarRadio1bonus.wav- 'Aces High March' from 'Battle of Britain' (you may prefer this if you mainly fly for the Luftwaffe) DebriefSuccess.wav - 'Moonlight Serenade' by Glenn Miller (something to relax to after a hard mission as you consider going to the pub down the road from the base to chat up that pretty blonde barmaid.....) DebriefFail.wav - 'Cooler and Mole' from 'The Great Escape' (It's got the familiar theme tune that you'll probably be whistling if you get shot down, but also has a more serious theme to reflect the fact you didn't make it home) DebriefFailbonus.wav - Dialogue excerpt from 'The Great Escape' (you may think that this is good advice from the Commandant...) DebriefKilled.wav - 'End Title' from '633 Squadron' OptionsScreen - 'Main Title' from 'Mosquito Squadron' All of the above tracks are free downloads from various record company websites in various formats and have been converted to the correct format for use in game by me.
