I would do the exact opposite! The reason is simple: The lion is the Coat of Arms (correct?), so it is the military symbol -> use as roundel. The cross is the flag -> fin flag! -

You don't need to add it to the .lod file! "Just" go into the skin folder, edit the "numbers.lst" (add the "58-0300" at the end), find out which decal represents the tail number (look at the tgas in the subfolder "D") and create a new one (there is a "how to make a decal" tutorial by Wrench somewhere in this board). Name it after the existing tail numbers, just with the sequentially next numbert (for example: the last tail number is tnum012.tga, so your's will be tnum013.tga). That should work... -

decal numbers?

Close, but not entirely true: 0 = Nation ID 1 = Squadron ID 2 = Aircraft Number 3 = Kill Number (from TW's Decal Tutorial) If you want a decal to show up always (not bound to AC number, etc.) use a decal with level 2 and no number for the decal - if the program doesn't find one with the correct number (like num001) it searches for the basic one (like num)! -
Erinnert mich an meine Zivi-Zeit... Ich war Pfleger in einem Altenheim - da wir aber nur vier Männer hatten, habe ich keine Kriegsgeschichten gehört (musste aber ja auch arbeiten und nicht bloß rumsitzen )! Nur schmutzige Lieder... (leider wieder vergessen - ist ja auch schon 'ne Weile her!) On Topic: Sieht ja nach einer wahren Schönheit aus - erst recht mit den Nosearts!

Ein "schöner" Nebeneffekt von Steam ist ja auch, dass du die Spiele nicht weiterverkaufen kannst (lebenslange Bindung an EIN Konto...)! In meinen Augen auch ein Unding, dass man eine Internetverbindung zum Spielen von Offlinespielen braucht (daher habe ich bis jetzt die Finger von GTA IV gelassen - das braucht gleich zwei Zusatzprogramme incl. Bei Luftnahunterstützung aber doch auch! Die eigenen Panzer müssten unsichtbar und unbewaffnet sein, die gegnerischen Panzer ebenfalls unbewaffnet, brennend und rauchend (was bei der "Zersstörung" aufhören müsste), vielleicht noch das Kettenquietschen durch ein Prasseln ersetzen...

In TW-sims the "forward"-axis is the y-axis. The alignment of your pictures in the top and left view are aligned towards the negative y-direction (looking backwards)! Take a close look at the coordinate systems! They are right-handed systems (easy to visualize - hold thumb, index finger and middle finger in a 90° angle to each other, the thumb represents the direction of the x-axis, the index finger the y and the middle finger the z...). -

Look at the coordinate system on the lower left in each view - it helps a lot to understand the alignments! (OK, i am used to work with coordinate systems - with many of them...) -

FE könnte problematisch werden: Ich habe es zwar geschafft, die Cessna C172 (Beta) in FE zu integrieren, habe aber damit noch einige Probleme. Ich kann die Bremsen nicht lösen (wenn sie "rauseditiert" sind, lässt sich die Maschine zumindest starten), die Flaps lassen sich nicht einfahren, und Auftrieb und Motorkraft verhalten sich seltsam (ich verliere bei Vollgas Geschwindigkeit und rapide an Höhe...)!

Um mal einen vorhandenen Thread zu nutzen: Bei meinen allerersten "Gehversuchen" mit 3ds (ich habe versucht das Tutorial zum Flugzeugbau auf das im OFF Unterforum verwiesen wird zu nutzen) stellen sich mir schon direkt am Anfang 2 große Hindernisse in den Weg - wie bekomme ich die 3-Seiten-Sicht in den Arbeitsbereich (ich habe es geschafft, Planes in den Raum zu stellen und mit den drei Sichten zu "bespannen", aber das ist nur in der 3D-Sicht sichtbar - nicht sehr hilfreich...), und wieerzeuge ich "weiche" Kurven? Oh, und wie stelle ich eine korrekte Skalierung (richtige Länge, Breite und Höhe des Endproduktes) sicher?

The weaponsdata is not the complete WEAPONDATA.INI! Follow FC's intructions to get it (extract it from the cat) and add the new weapons there (and dont't forget to use the weaponeditor to get the data into the game - it doesn't read the .ini, its reads the .dat created by the weaponeditor...). You have to open the "WEAPONDATA.INI" with any text editor (notepad works fine), paste the code for the new weapon under the existing code (it is not the same - it just has the same structure - as everything machine-readable...) and modify the line [WeaponDataXXX] to be consecutive. Just look at the number of the last already existing [WeaponData] (if it is for example [WeaponData0123] you rename the new entry to [WeaponData0124]). After that you save the "WEAPONDATA.INI" and open it with the Weaponeditor (download the correct version for your game at ThirdWire), click "Save" and close it. -

Based on that idea I created my first skin - a quick and dirty repaint of Veltro's with the Tornado F.3's letters and serials. BTW: Can anybody tell me, why the serials don't appear? EDIT: Oh, and Veltro - could you release the templates for that beauty?
