  3. If you want them to look the same, you don't have to clone the lod and skin - just the weapondata entry. Open the weapondata.ini with a text editor, search the entry for the B61, copy it (from the [WeapondataXXX] till the end of the entry), paste it at the end of the file (after the last entry, and remember to name the WeapondataXXX correct) and change watever you want to change!

    I know what you mean! The "fast" shooters, as the magazines praise them (seems they can't be fast enough for them), feel just hectic to me - maybe I'm getting old... But I prefer to sneak slowly through the levels - open levels, not "tunnels" like in most FPS!

  6. Well, I don't want to convert the model (or even get the model), I just need the surface with the mapping. My goal was to write a viewer to simplify skinning - you wouldn't need to run the game, just open the lod with the viewer and load the skin. If it doesn't fit, change it and reload the texture...
  7. You're right, it does (more or less...), but I'm not searching for a program, I'm searching for the algorithm (to be able to write my own tool)!

  9. I don't think there is an importer... But what I always wanted to know: Is TK's lod-structure documented somewhere? It would be great to be able to read the files (maybe to create something like a skin-preview program...)!
  10. That is the typal way for Germany in WWII - mare variants and sub-variants than you can count... btw: "Finalized Rüstsätzen" makes me want to cry... (If you have to use the german word, use "Rüstsätze" - without the "n" at the end!)

    Ouch! Don't have experience with it, but as far as I know they use ultrasonic to crush them to smaller pieces, so they can be - well, get rid of in the "natural way" (The "get rid of" part might be slightly unpleasant - you can imagine the natural way they will take... ). Good luck!

  13. The E-0 had (experimental), but it didn't work... E-3 had already cannons in the wings, some E-1 were modified to that standard, too.

Well, Cocas' Poland thread made me do the E-1 out of Russo's E-4 - and it is intended to be used in a Poland and France scenario, where (especially in Poland) you don't have so many well armed opponents... (That's the reason all the skins are for the Poland campaign - but if you have material about squadrons with E-1 I haven't already made - or you want to build your own skin - there are templates in the E-1 folder. It is just one file, but it contains the all-green and the splinter scheme!)
  15. The good old "Rata" - I remember it well from Il-2. Very maneuverable, well armed, and as deadly for his pilot as for his opponent... (The pilot's protection is a bad joke - I shot a few of them down just with a few hits of my machineguns, even if the plane looked undamaged it went staight down. The same happened to me flying it - someone shoots at me, and suddenly a red screen - dead pilot...) I have to admit, when I was flying SF1 in the last weeks, it was always WWII (and testing the E-1 ).

  17. I don't think it would be that bad - there are worse things (and I have seen worse things)! What if he does it without the paint?
  18. I wouldn't object to get my hands on AIDE's source code - just to see if we could work out a new version, or a new tool using AIDE's algorithms...
  19. I don't think it is a HD problem - looks more like a Null-Pointer. Maybe he should let the cat link point to SF2's cat? (Don't have SF2, but it's maybe the desert terrain???)

I will try to skin your 109B and C (and maybe the later ones, too), if you send me two thing I need so succeed: -a "flying" model (or at least one I can see on the runway) -a template with at least two layers: one with the mapping (those little lines showing the polygon edges) and one with "labels" (explayning what is what - so I know what I'm painting...) And right now I'm working on a model I don't think somebody else is working on, too. (But I don't tell you, which - yet!)

    Habe gerade meinen Arbeitsrechner angeworfen (hatte ihn vor 10min ausgeschaltet), um mal nachzusehen... Aha, unter "Edit Geometry" (ganz rechts im "Modify" Tab) mit "Attach". Vorsicht, du wählst damit einen Mesh aus, der dem aktuellen hinzugefügt wird! Gute Nacht!
