Supply problems
madvad posted a topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mission & Campaign Building Discussion
Guys, despite the supply limit being FALSE, dates checked and everything else, I can't make the weapons appear on the weapon selection screen. Only few weapons appear, like fuel tanks, some bombs and etc... any tips? I'll attach the campaign files below if anyone wants to try: OP_PE_Data.ini OP_Pelayo_1987.ini -

Adding MirageIIIO to Rolling Thunder
madvad replied to Defaultface's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
This happens due to a bug generated by the Campaign editor. To solve this, take a unit that is controlled by the AI, that is, that does not have the option of being piloted by you, put this unit in a new entry of "[AirUnitxxx]" and put the aircraft/squadron etc in the place of the old one. It will work. And to be able to fly in the enemy nation, you can keep the entries where they are, you just need to take into account that the "AirUNITS" count starts from 0 on the "red side".For example, a MiG is there as "AirUnit086" in the general sequence in xxxDATA.INI file, but if is the first entry in the "other nation", in the xxx.INI file she need to be UnitID=1, if it is the first enemy aircraft in the sequence. Do the count taking into account the sequence in which they appear, instead of the sequence in general, by adding these entries in the xxx.INI you will be able to fly on the enemy side without any problems. I will add here my Rolling Thunder campaign with several entries that I made as example: CAMPAIGNV1.INI CAMPAIGNV1_DATA.INI -
Afghanistan NEW targets
madvad replied to strahi's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
It was exactly like this, and I followed all the steps. I download the original SF1 map and subscribe the old files with this new files, but not sucessful. But thanks for your tip! -
A classic one bring to life again! Thx for your work! Just need a correction in the rudder movement, its reversed. Need to be change to false like this: ReverseModelOrientation=FALSE PS: If someone knows how to improve the cockpit view, I accept tips. Looks like the pilot in positioned too much deep in the pit, its impossible to land in a CV in cockpit view.

Crashing mid-mission
madvad replied to Mr_Tayto's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
A good way to check the reason for crashes is to use the Windows Event Viewer. Today I had a crash right after the loading screen, and when I checked, it showed me a path related to nvidia drivers (for amd64, even though I use Intel...who knows why...): -

Version 1.0.1

This edit in the original file allows you to fly as if you were the wingman of the formation. You continue to be the leader, and giving orders to the rest of the squad, but flying as the right wing, giving the radio command 1-8-6. To return to the original formation, just perform the radio command 1-8-3. I like it, because I like flying as a wingman and "inserting" myself into the maneuvers and following the "leader", giving more immersion to the flight. You just need to be careful when flying with nations where the pilots have "poor skills", as during the maneuvers the "leader" can spread and collide with you. In this case, before the "action begins", I suggest giving the command 1-8-1 so that he moves away so that a collision does not occur. Don't forget to make a backup of your original file in case you want to revert! V 1.0.1 Greetings and check six! Madvad -
YAP AND RISING SUN for wov
madvad replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Well, here we get into a fog... If you know which mods are "unethical" or something and can confirm this, point out which ones they are and I'm sure the team won't want to keep them. If something like this was "inherited" and is being used, it is due to pure ignorance, and not due to bad intentions, therefore, I cannot call it "unethical", as there is no intention of cheating anyone, and no one there is nothing to profit from it. I don't know what happened at the time, and if I had been one of those who suffered, I would have been pissed too. But I think it's wrong to point the finger at someone who wasn't involved in this imbroglio, and just wants to do something nice for the SF2 community, with heart and good will, and also doesn't know what happened and wasn't even involved. If these "stolen" mods are present in the current installation and this can be proven, it would be nice to point out which ones they are so that the situation can be resolved. I'm absolutely sure they would do so willingly. -
YAP AND RISING SUN for wov
madvad replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
From my understanding, Revamp is limited to SF2. The proposal was precisely this: make it free, updated, with objects, etc. AUTHORIZED by the creators, made by fans who obtained permission to use the name YAP from John Shelton's widow. The site with the original payware, made for SF1, is not part of this scope and I don't know who is responsible for it, but I know it's not YAP-RW. -

look for the YAP-RW in Facebook. Until a new site is provided, is there where the things happen. -

YAP AND RISING SUN for wov
madvad replied to DEVIL11's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - General Discussion
Not anymore. Now its free and is NOT related to the original creator´s, like Menrva said above. I´m helped with some things in YAP_RW and can say that is totally free and completely correct from any possible point of view: ethical, moral, legal... Is made from fans, to the fans, and I particularly see any creation that helps the SF2 community stay alive, welcome.
