  1. I like the similarity of our avatars... Only that I'm the "bad guy".
  2. I think their priority is to make every game Vista compatible then make the add-on planes. We all know that an add-on for WOI / SF2:I has been in the works (but I guess put on hold).

  4. Well the new RWR looks nice. And we now have plane wrecks on the ground. (something new).
  5. Well for sure there are some planes that will have no textures if you directly import them to SF2. And the new RWR is quite sweet not to incorporate into modern planes. So looks like it will take a while. Hope it would work nice as a merged install instead of a complete conversion mod of SF2.
  6. Even CCIP goes beyond the HUD. I'm not too bothered. 1) It's just a game. 2) As for the CCIP, it makes it more easier (fun) to do level bombing. But wouldn't mind if the view gets restricted in the future.
  7. Looks like I will have to prematurely end my WOE+NF4 campaign. But I'm actually more excited about the thought of the Dhimari Mercenaries having (expensive) new toys to blow up the Parani in SF2...
  8. RIP, David Carradine

Well recent CNN report says rope was tied around neck... and rope was also tied around genitals. You think it's scuicide?
  9. Thanks. My hat is now for target cycling. I enabled trim in controls.ini but will keep that to the keyboard since I will not use that often unless I have uneven load.
  10. See TK's message below. Regarding the merge... so if we get NF5 working on SF2:E... then it will be a blast with the merged install with SF2 and SF2:V. But I guess SF2 conversion will take time because some old plane models and pits need updating (uses WOX textures that are not in SF2).
  11. A crafty maneuver if you ask me. But I'm not sure if they red out in the first place. :D
  12. Oh well, and stick button don't match the real one anyway. So I guess what's convenient works. Just don't want to put an unrealistic function on them. Is trim simulated in the game? Most games would use the hat switch for POV. Don't have any use for the hat stwitch now since I use TrackIR so I'm thinking of a nice function.
  13. great work. looking forward for the fix. i've been settling with stock A-4 so far.
  14. I suspect you are using Vista. Install the game outside Program Files directory. And make sure that all your Nato Fighters mods are installed in the same directory. Take note that the default path in the Nato Fighters installers change with each version so you have to manually point them to the right directory. Also if you still get crashing after missions, you might need to edit the terrain ini. There are instructrions for this in the forums... just do a search but I think the October patch should fix this as well.
  15. Logitech's Flight System G940

    Does it break? Lol!
  16. anybody watch Band of Brothers TV show

Ubisoft Brothers in Arms has the same feel as Band of Brothers. Similar topic as well. A game that is well researched with regards to historical accuracy. Squad tactics are good... It's like a combination of Medal of Honor and Full Spectrum Warrior. But somewhere along the way, it became a very "commercial" game like the Tom Clancy titles (arcade tank battles and survival horror feel). Medal of Honor Airborne has those Nazi ubertroopers... more reminiscent of the Wolfenstein franchise. :(

  18. What about a dedicated Soviet-Afghan War campaign for the terrain?
  19. Tail gunners for me. If the bombers are the primary target then I do use missiles on them. But most of the time, it takes more than 1 missile to down a bomber. Mission first before anything else.
  20. How may object cat files do you see in your install directory? Anyway, I merged mine in the default directories so I don't get any problems.
  21. Never gotten used to the slowness of the plane. Bombing techniques for jets don't work nicely.
  22. Are you using a flight stick? It makes things a lot easier. First of all you must be aware that pulling the stick towards you will make your plane climb. Pushing it forward will make your plane dive. Hehe!
  23. Also make sure that you point the install in the same diretory. The default directory scheme changes in the NF installers.
