  1. I heard congress limited this to only 187 downloads, confirm/deny?
  2. B-52Fs from the 9th and 441st Bomb Squadrons dropped the first bombs in anger from a B-52. Still fighting in 2009...
  3. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOTH ERICS

    Happy Birthdays.
  4. They actually have improved a lot since then and have become one of the better Arab air forces, but yeah in the WOI era..... there was a lot to be desired, one of the reasons they ended up with western weapons and training regiments
  5. Ahh yes, more wonders of the internet. It never lets me down.
  6. I moved my huge "sandbox" install to an external. I also found my original SFP1 cd i bought from AAFES in '02 and installed it for a minute for s**ts and giggles, my how times have changed. Anyways not to hijack this any further, this mod looks pretty class. Can't wait for it.
  7. I have already, except for NF4, ODS, and YAP2 installs, removed all the original WOx stuff from my hard drive.
  8. Has anyone vacationed in Branson, Mo?

Yellowstone is nice, especially after Labor Day when there are not so many people there. If you haven't been there before, it is one of those places like the Grand Canyon, if you are an American you need to make your way there in your lifetime.
  9. The Movie "Behind Enemy Lines" (Wilson/Hackman)

Probably didn't miss anything. I mean the movie is pure fantasy, movies have a tendency to use the newest, hottest, or whatever military equipment.
  10. The Movie "Behind Enemy Lines" (Wilson/Hackman)

The movie wasn't really supposed to be at any real point in that war. It was just a recognizable (remember it was made/written before Sept 11th) area to have a guy in that situation. Not every movie is/needs to be based on some real event. Yeah the SAM scene was BS, but it was entertaining, maybe not to the minority of people that actually know what is supposed to happen, but to the millions of people just trying to be entertained and could care less about little details, they liked it, which is the point of making the movie: hopefully entertain the masses.
  11. Has anyone vacationed in Branson, Mo?

    All you need to know...
  12. That is pretty sweet, I got some paraphernalia somewhere from when the Harpoons first went to Loring, it was a pretty big deal, I guess they had some huge air-droppable anti-shipping mines too.
  13. Well since I was told "Admin has my back" before this gets locked WDH, Brady, (or did he die of cancer and have his wife posting on Combat Ace at the same time he was flat lining using the same typos, and having the same inability to put spaces after punctuation marks that WDH and his brother/friend etc. have) or whatever you want to call yourself. I don't know what to believe, and I really don't care. Nor should anyone else care about this foolishness. People have made real friendships here, and on other websites over the past 15 or more years. That is stuff that matters. This BS with some kid typing as you, if that is even a legit story doesn't matter. Nobody cares. Don't let it bother you. I noticed the tell-tale typing style of WDH as soon as I read my first a10boar post and told Dave it was funny, and didn't say anything but laughed at the ridiculous posts. It wasn't important enough to get riled up about. Here is some advice, stop caring about what people on an internet message board think about you and deal with this 13 year old kid, remember you are the fox uniform charlie kilo india november golf adult... Here is an example of the ridiculousness you or whoever was posing as you pulled: 1. You would not have been fighting CARTELS in Panama. 2. If you were a SPC you might have been a Team leader, if you lose a soldier they don't do "reports" on who's fault it was. But all that is a mute point anyways since nobody named "Joseph kenneth Walker" was killed in Panama in Just Cause. Also if that had happened you would have by habit listed his rank. I lost friends in combat. I took remains to a grieving mother. that insults me to no end you would make that up. "Sharpshooter/Scout" What do you even mean by this? Are you trying to say you were in a sniper section? Also Army Infantrymen call their recon sections RECON, they never ever refer to them as scouts, since that is MOS 19D Cavalry Scout, a friendly rival. People that lie about military service are SCUM Brady. I just left it alone after that since there was no point continuting, just like there is no point continuing with this now. Deal with your crap, and don't worry about people on a website think. But do you wonder why there was 'blackballing' with that username?
  14. Download Help...

You can't download the files, or you don't know where to put the files? If you don't know where to put them, they come with this file called 'Read Me' that gives you instructions.
  15. Remembering D-DAY

I came looking for this thread. Hats off to the "Greatest Generation"
  16. Those RWRs are so great, so are the destroyed planes. I can dig it.
  17. Pretty sure we reached an understanding and have gone back to DEFCON 5
  18. You know, I really debated posting this but this bragging and boasting is a little over the top. I usually don't do this, but lets put this in perspective. In 1998, while I was still in the Army, on tanks, I was in Kuwait for Intrinsic Action 98-03. We were supposed to go home Dec 15th, but as some of you history majors might know, Operation Desert Fox started on Dec 17th, so Our Task Force (TF 4-64 ARMOR) was sent to the Udaryi Desert to wait for our relief TF 3-15 and even TF 1-64 was supposed to start deploying, which would put an entire Brigade from the 3rd ID on the ground. Marines were also deployed, I'm not sure what unit it was, but it was BN size, my tank platoon was sliced to the Marines to give them armored support, for some reason they didn't have tanks, or couldn't unload them in time, I don't know what was up. For 2 days we were with a Marine Rifle Company. The whole time we were there the grunts told stories with us, we told our stories, got along great. The only Marines that tried to talk trash or seriously bad mouth us with some superiority crap were the support guys, the non trigger pullers. Sure the grunts talked some trash, we did too, but the only ones that were serious about it were the support guys. Fast Forward to 2001. I am in the Air Force, one of the first US Servicemen into Afghanistan. We fought a war working with everybody. All of us on the ground were great with each other. Fast forward to like the end of December. The Marines establish their base at Kandahar. We get to move in and get some chow. The only people to talk smack to us seriously were the support guys. Not the Grunts, not Force Recon. Guys that do paperwork etc. Iraw was the same deal. I have a very good friend of mine who is a Marine Corps Infantryman. He was in Fallujah, working hand in hand with the 1st Cav kicking in doors and shooting Akhmed Jihadist in the face. He has never once said anything to me about "OORAH!! USMC WE ARE THE BEST EVER LOOK AT THESE QUOTES" It is usually cherries and people with support jobs that go off on this tanget. These jobs are important, don't get me wrong, but it just seems maybe people that pull the trigger have a better appriciation for things. Nothing wrong with being proud of your branch, but arrogance about it puts people in the ground. Period. I'm done with this subject. I wasn't even talking trash about any service, just mentioned the way the military was run Post War until about 1994. I like that Canucuck 104's stock skin.
  19. Cool then, since Marines weren't on the ground in Germany. They weren't part of REFORGER, don't bitch them not being stock flyable in a game simulation about a war in Germany in the 60's - early 80's. I don't want to get into some circle jerk pissing contest about "my service is the best" blah blah blah. Because it is pointless and in reality no service is better than the other as they all have specific jobs. I was in 2 different services and was part of the actual "America's 911" that involved people from all branches working jointly. The inter-service rivalry pissing contest sh** really bothers me, when those of us that worked in unison together never had such petty exchanges. Now lets just talk about SF2/E screen shots. Those RWRs are pretty killer.
  20. Well it is from Embry-Riddle, so it is not like you need to read past a 6th grade level to get one (I am an allum I can say that )
  21. This is the attitude that led to such divisions. It was as much the Marines to blame for it as it was any other service.
  22. Military politics regarding services, stuff like this lead to the whole "joint" thing. When I was working on my masters I did a fairly detailed research project about this subject. Marine leadership didn't want their Air Wings supporting soldiers when Marines might need their support. And it was likely that the AF leadership would misuse them or something or other. Something the Clinton admin did that was really good was push the "joint operations" thing. There is still a lot of work to do but it is so much better now than it was 20 years ago. EDIT: I forgot to put a space between "do" and "but" it looked like doubt.
  23. To be fair though, this wasn't really the Marine's fight in this scenario. Ya'll would be up in Norway/Iceland and in the Med and of course ready for when sideshows started in the Pacific. Germany was the Army/Air Force's show.
  24. mind blowing google maps/earth location

Sorry to bump this old thread but i remembered what i saw that was blacked out when looking at my old duty stations. The motorpools at Fort Stewart are washed out so you can't see the tanks, brads, etc. http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=31....mp;t=h&z=18
