  1. Second lesson about to begin: *Since this is an .exe file, in order to run it in windows xp you need to do a right click on the file and select properties *look for a tab called: compatibility *put a check mark where it says: "run this program in compatibility for:" *then select windows 98/windows me in the dropdown menu *save and you're done.
  2. Yes, and then, with the Weapon editor, open WEAPONDATA.ini and click save as: WEAPONDATA.ini, it will ask you to overwrite, so let it to do it, and voila!!! test it. You're getting close....
  3. Well cut that folder and paste it to your first Objects folder in the game hierarchy, if it asks for overwrite click yes to all. cheers.
  4. My friend my best advice is to use just one of them, but.... which one, will be your choice since both of them are superb, whatever your choice is it will be a good one. regards.
  5. Mmmm..... seems like it hasn't been correctly installed, so you'd erase the second Objects folder (the one inside Objects), and reinstall the Weapons pack, it's a bit risky because it could erase your aircraft folder, so make sure in the first Objects folder there is another one called Aircraft (and don't erase that one for God sake!!!) and erase the second Objects folder. if it goes too complicated pm me for more info. cheers and relax.
  6. They aren't folders they are files inside the folder Weapons, and both should be present
  7. Unless it's erased is next to it, so you'll have: WEAPONDATA.dat and WEAPONDATA.ini
  8. Both are located in: Wings Over *\Objects\Weapons Take a look there, otherwise you may need to install it again.
  9. OK, let's take a look onto your issue, what i will explain you can do it on the TMF MIG-29, i'll be using the MIG-21: go to your main game directory, let's use by instance Wings Over Vietnam, and look for this path: Wings Over Vietnam\Objects\Aircraft\MiG-21MF, inside the folder look for MIG-21MF_DATA.ini, thi file will be open with notepad, then scroll down to Weapon stations and you'll find something like this: // Weapon Stations --------------------------------------------------------- [LeftOuterWingStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=1 StationGroupID=1 StationType=EXTERNAL AttachmentPosition=-2.68,-2.17,-0.42 AttachmentAngles=0.0,0.0,0.0 LoadLimit=500.0 LengthLimit=3.5 AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,RCKT,RP,IRM,FT AttachmentType=WP<--------------------------------------here you need to add SOVIET, preceeded by a coma, so you'll have WP,SOVIET ModelNodeName=WingPylon_Outer_L PylonMass=60 PylonDragArea=0.02 LaunchRailNodeName=MissileRail_Outer_L LaunchRailHeight=0.10 LaunchRailMass=25 FuelTankName=Tank490_MiG21 since there are more stations, be patient and add the same to all of them, then close it and try again, you'll see more weapons appearing. if this is not working please let us know. regards.
  10. what kind of planes are you talking about? if they are soviet planes, make sure in the .ini data of the specific plane on the weapon station has the attachment type as: AttachmentType=WP, SOVIET save it and you'll see the rest of the weapons, otherwise let us know, we are here to help you...
  11. did that, no joy, you know, i even use the .cat extraction tool and extracted all the files, modified the gundata.ini there, and repack the file, with no results...
  12. i guess (don´t really know), the thing is, if i change the name, let´s say Cannon.wav to GSH23, put the new file on the sounds folder and change using either gun data editor, or manually with the notepad, my gun doesn´t sound at all, so, i don´t know......
  13. Guys, after have tried the above mentioned for you, my guns are still silent, so, the question now will be: what i´m doing wrong?

  20. my pc hates me

Try this: open the PC, remove and reseat the memory (RAM), remove the mobo battery for at least 1 minute, (i have been told to press the power button without battery and power cable, to drain power from mobo, try that too) put it back, then restart it, set time and date and all other settings for the mobo, select to boot it from cd and try to restart Windows, if you have nothing to loose on the HD erase all partitions and recreate them, now, finally if all that leads you to the same problem, my best guess is a mobo change, if you need my assistance i'll be more than glad, just pm me. regards.

  23. Well, based in which i've read about the weapon was not too useful (if any), but in my experience, i've never failed with it shooting from 8 to 10 miles at 8000 to 10.000 feet, so, i don't know if it will help you; Just load it, aim it and fire it.............
