Chill, Eject. eraser_tr keeps having his posts kicked down all the time and all he does is write mostly sensible things. Since he sounds like an American Liberal/Democrat, I think it's American Republicans that keep his posts on the red. Your rating doesn't mean all that much and I don't think the Admins will kick you out of the forums if you reach a really low rating. Even though your post was slightly off topic, I'm giving you +1 for your effort. Now back to our Nazi Austrians... erm... Australians...

Holy cow! Now that was completely unexpected from Australia. So basically no one can speak their minds overtly out of fear of criminal persecution. If that's not a kick in the free speech's sac I don't know what is... Nobody's preventing you from airing your opinion but you'll find yourself watching your mouth and holding your tongue "or else"... Now there's a twisted way of controlling the citizens. By the way, are votes still supposed to be secret or do you have to add your name and postcode? Lenin's mummy must have cracked a smile...

The Super 530 in the centre pylon does bring to mind the Mirage series. I looked in my own screenshots and concluded it's carrying more IRs than the 60s Mirages did. The tanks however, don't resemble the ones on my Mirage 2000N. Do you have the Mirage F-1C/F-1C 200 installed? Or perhaps any version of the Kfir? Also, I've had the "invisible plane" problem with the A-4E even though all looked well. But it's the first time I see a plane doing 0 Km/h while in the air... -
I've been fooled way too many times while using P2P software like Frostwire, Emule and the like. Lots of sickos out there sharing video and image files (porn or otherwise) to which they gave names that wouldn't make you suspect it's actually CP. Dumb question of the day: what would happen if you put your HD in the microwave and fried it?

Happy Hanukkah! Merry Christmas! And Happy Whatever-Your-Particular-Religion-Has-In-Store-For-You-In-The-Following-Days! No matter your religion (or lack thereof), I hope you'll have a great time in the company of your friends and loved ones. And if you're deployed away from your loved ones, my warmest wishes, hoping you'll be back home soon, safe and sound!

Although some say the events of the film are not historically accurate, I still think it's a great movie. To all the CombatACE members: if you can buy, rent or borrow this movie do so and watch it. Goes a longer way than most cartoon and/or religious movies in showing what "Peace on earth, good will to men" is all about. Do try to get a non dubbed version. The original German/French/English version gives the movie a truly universal feeling, as it were...

Sounds strange, smells bad, but tastes goooood !

Actually, I'm not disgusted at all! Here in Portugal we seem to have similar tastes. We do love our tripe based cuisine. Be it "Tripas à Moda do Porto" - stewed cow stomach with white beans (mmmm....), or what we call "enchidos" - pork based sausages packed in the animals' intestines which after a period of smoking can be boiled, stewed, barbecued or eaten "as is". Horse steak! Yummy! Snails are not enjoyed by all (a slimy animal after all) but the way my Dad cooks them with tomato sauce... heavenly! Also great stewed with beans! I don't know what pig's trotters are, but if it's feet you're talkin' about, then we're eatin' them! Cheese! Here we have all sorts of cheese made from cow, goat or sheep milk and in a few cases, a combination of two kinds of milk. Absolutely delicious and I think we can give you Frenchies and the Suiss a run for your money! Except for blue cheeses which we never had. I like them but many Portuguese think twice about eating cheese with mould. But immature wine? What are you guys thinking of? We take great pride in our wines. In fact, I think it's the same as with the cheese. French wines are good but ours can be as good. But drinking them before they get the chance to mature is hard to understand. What does Beaujolais taste like when it is mature? Is there such a thing? All in all, and in spite of hearing French food being criticized for lack of flavour, your post has made me curious about French cuisine. I'll definitely look for some recipies in the very near future. Vive la France! -
"Politicseses"? "Troopseses"? I think Gollum was the pirate! Hilarious!

Viper, this is the find of the year! It's like one of young Peter Jackson's low budget films ("Bad Taste" anyone?) with 1970's sci-fi plot and actors. I especially like the Indiana Jones main theme on the fight scenes! Go John Williams! Go Man From Earth kicking evil King Leonidas's butt! Eh!Eh!Eh! And if only human would make peace on Earth... I'm actually considering downloading this and burn me a DVD. "Hardware Wars" is actually a bit of a classic nowadays. Or so I hear.

Thanks for the pics! Went online to find out more about your patches but still don't know exactly what the human figure stands for in the NCO Academy patch. Care to explain?

Hard labour for this guy. Have him work his butt off until he gets sick and tired of the military and can't even stand the thought of dressing up like one. I've never served and would never insult the memory of all those who died in my country's service by dressing up and strutting around like some decorated hotshot. And he even made up stories about his deployments! Very weak...

Hey Growler, wanna post a pic of your piece of History?

Great post, streakeagle. Though I was a little disappointed you didn't mention the April 25th 1974 military coup that finally brought down Portugal's fascist dictatorship. There was a real potential for confrontation between loyalist and revolutionary forces but good sense prevailed. http://en.wikipedia....tion_Revolution Korea reuniting would be a great accomplishment but are the people(s) ready for that? Guess we'll have to wait until Kim Jong-Il either dies or becomes too weak to rule. The ensuing power struggle could be interesting: more communism? a complete 180º turn to fascism? democracy? I'm afraid whatever comes next and the effort needed to accomplish it, it'll be the people paying for it as usual. Even though this particular division isn't so much political as it is religious (is it?), I'd like to see the Irish finally realising what unites them rather than what separates them and ending their struggling and discrimination for good so they can all live in peace. I hear there are Walls over there as there were in Germany... PS: That's a sweet family photo streakeagle, congratulations!

That's right. Here in Portugal we have a pastry called "Bola de Berlim" which could be translated as "Ball of/from Berlin", "Berlin's Ball" or "Berlin Ball". It looks like a "hole-less" (does that word even exist? ) donut and it comes in two versions: just dough or filled with a delicious creamy custard (yummy, my favourite!). So that seems to indicate that the "berliner" really is a German jelly donut. Anyway, check this out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ich_bin_ein_Berliner Apparently, he was right all along!

My recollections of this day are fuzzy (I was 11 at the time). But I do remember watching the news in the following days and seeing all those people tearing down the Wall and celebrating in the streets and feeling happy for them, even though I didn't fully understand what it all meant for them. Today I felt happy for them again as I watched today's celebrations in the full knowledge of its significance for Berlin, Germany, Europe and the whole world. So, to Germany, Happy Happy 20th Anniversary! "All free men, wherever they may live, are citizens of Berlin. And therefore, as a free man, I take pride in the words 'Ich bin ein 'Berliner!'" - JFK

Man, the guy was a mental health professional and did all this crap?

Yeah and don't forget how lucky you are to have all that delicious hospital food! Yummy! Anyway, get well soon.

I still can't believe how easily these b******s keep sneaking up to positions where they can launch their cowardly attacks before anyone suspects them and cause such loss! How long were they planning this? Before or after joining the military? Because if they joined in the hopes of doing this, it shows how twisted these little a******s really are. No death row in Leavenworth for them. Too humane. Ship them to some third world country to the care of an unscrupulous pharmaceutical company so they can become human guinea pigs to the day they die. A more productive ending for those who don't care for the lives of others and their own. As terrible as all the deaths were, it's good to know Eric is ok. Condolences to the families.

331KillerBee, those are awesome! As a WWII pinup nose art enthusiast, I do regret that military airplanes are no longer embellished like back in the day. Any plans to release those soon? Same question for EricJ and his sweet F-107 skin. -

I was rooting for Madrid as well. Silverbolt's right. Most of the time, criminality in Rio is just a matter of where you're walking. Watch your step and you'll have a great time there. The real problem with the Games being held in Rio is in fact corruption. I hope this event will bring benefits for all cariocas but I'm afraid it'll be more of the same: rich corrupt people getting richer and the poor getting poorer. But today is a day for celebration, so PARABÉNS BRASIL!!!
