it depends on the type of loadout and the pilots. technically i think the f-14 was better than f-15 . it had more weapon load as compared to eagle,more range and the phoenix missile.The AIM-54/AWG-9 combination was the first to have multiple trackcapability (up to 24 targets) and launch (up to 6 Phoenixes can belaunched nearly simultaneously) with the phoenix it could engage targets far than 150 kms.it was the only active radar homing missile in the us service. but it was expensive and maintainence intensive. was retired in 2006,bad decision.

i made a model of almaz truck in 3ds max in two parts with the 1st depicting front and 2nd trailer.later when i joined them both get aligned in one direction.when i attached them ,when i used boolean the bmp material is missing in the game.sometimes the tires get detached.this is the problem i am facing in the game only when i render in max it looks perfectly normal. one time i was able to attach the parts together but i was unable to assign material to different objects because they behave as a single entitiy,when i fix one problem another occurs. can anybody help me please email your suggestions

i came around a newspaper article which says arihant is based on the russian charlie class subs in my opinion 6o diesel subs must be enough for india instead navy should procure asw helicopters

chill man why care for someone who does not cre for you but you can help your father to live most of his time by being happy. after all parents do much for us

though it is not a pathbreaking thing but still something is better than nothing. the sub will be operational by 2011 i think regarding diesal electric subs india is purchasing scorpene class subs i also think they are better bcoz they require less investment only drawback is they have to come to surface to charge their batteries

The first of the three Indian Air Force AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) platform landed on India soil escorted by the venerable Mig-29 and Jaguar fighters at the IAF’s Jamnagar airbase, today at 1135 hrs (IST). A special ‘Induction ceremony’ awaits the AWACS in the National Capital where Defence Minister Shri AK Antony will dedicate this force-multiplier to the Nation on Thursday, May 28. The news of the landing of the aircraft was conveyed to Shri AK Antony by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal FH Major within an hour of the former resuming the office as the Defence Minister for a second successive term. The AWACS is a tripartite venture amongst India, Russia and Israel. The Indian Air Force laid down the operational requirements in detail based on which the Israeli ‘Phalcon’ radar was mounted on the Russian IL-76 aircraft equipped with the more powerful PS-90A engines making it more advanced than many such systems. This is the first of a total of three AWACS that the IAF is slated to receive. The remaining two are expected to be inducted into the IAF by 2010 and all the AWACS would be based at Agra. India is one of the few countries to have inducted the AWACS in their Air Forces. The AWACS is a true ‘force-multiplier’ that gives a quantum jump to the operational capabilities of the Indian Air Force. Known as the Air Force’s ‘Eye in the Sky’, it is capable of detecting intruders over sea and land at large distances. It has many other capabilities including Electronic and Signal Intelligence gathering. Once operationalised alongwith the Operational Data Link (ODL), Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACCS) and the Air Force Net (AFNET), the IAF would have taken a definitive step towards Net Centric Operations.
