You've all seen the picture...now the story.
nbryant replied to Hauksbee's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I've read that probably a dozen times and still find myself amazed. There are a number of similar stories of these aircraft limping home after taking an amazing amount of damage. Have always loved the B-17 and its capabilities. Always wished there would be a return of the game B-17: The Mighty Eighth with added immersion and higher res graphics. -

Best Graphic Cards for our Money
nbryant replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
I'm still running an ATI 5770 which has handled most applications well. Not sure when but I am likely to upgrade sometime in the nearer future.......... I am just a glutton for detailed graphics, adds to the immersion for me. -
It looks as if he was dash two and someone in the lead craft got sick! Heaven forbid!

New TrackIR5 Profile - smooth, but still quite immediate
nbryant replied to Olham's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Appreciate it Olham as I usually just try the default "smooth" profile. One question though. You didn't add anything to this to make me want to fly an Albatross more than my beloved SPAD did you? -
Haven't you guys been paying attention...... two weeks from now!

Best wishes Tony.

Every country has it's patriots, some are blessed with many. I received this in an email from a fellow Marine today, I think it will speak for itself. Every now and then, in the middle of the constant barrage of crap that's just ticking us all off these days, we come across a story, a feat, an event that just makes us stop in our tracks. This was one for me. Cody Green was a 12-year kid in Indiana who was diagnosed with leukemia at 22 months old. He loved the Marines, and his parents said he drew strength and courage from the Marine Corps. as ...he bravely fought the battle into remission three times. Although he was cancer-free at the time, the chemotherapy had lowered his immune system and he developed a fungus infection that attacked his brain. Two weeks ago, as he struggled to fend off that infection in the hospital, the Marines wanted to show how much they respected his will to live, his strength, honor and courage. They presented Cody with Marine navigator wings and named him an honorary member of the United States Marine Corps. For one Marine, that wasn't enough ... so that night, before Cody Green passed away, he took it upon himself to stand guard at Cody's hospital door all night long, 8 hours straight. Nowhere on the face of this planet is there a country so blessed as we to have men and women such as this. I wish I could personally tell this Marine how proud he makes me to be an American. God ... I do so love this country.

Can't happen OP. Tranquillo needs to ensure he maintains an adequate amount of bloodflow to the site of the surgery to ensure it heals properly. Any diversion of bloodflow due to the "extra good care" that nurse Glady's would no doubt provide would only prolong his recovery keeping him from the community a little longer.

Life is a journey OVS, you my friend seem to have found the path that your journey was meant to take, you lucky SOB. So many people go through life and never realize what their journey was meant to accomplish, others do and are extremely fulfilled. So continue to enjoy yours and I know we all hope to see you around here from time to time..... when you can squeeze a minute or two.

The Dev's are using time dilation as they develop P4. In the theory of relativity, time dilation is an actual difference of elapsed time between two events as measured by observers either moving relative to each other or differently situated from gravitational masses. So where our two weeks is passing at the speed of real time thier two weeks is passing at a much slower speed thereby allowing them to accomplish much more in the same timeline. What the actual differential is only the Dev's know and all we can do is assume that at some point they will make their way back onto our plane of existence where their timeline will coincide with ours and P4 will be released. No, I don't understand it either but it sure sounds good! ....hope all goes well Tranquillo.

Looking for a little guidance please chaps
nbryant replied to Redmonkey's topic in WOFF UE/PE - General Discussion
Excellent start redmonkey, enjoy your journey. Everyone has given you some excellent advice. For me I enjoy the challenge of surviving no matter what period. I never play anything less than DiD and have never had a career survive much more then a few months. It brings the reality of the time home for me, the realization that death was always right around the corner and I can really appreciate the courage and determination those men had. -
