I have been dreaming dogfights and just the other day the wife found a set of three aircraft, a DR1, SPAD and Camel metal silhouettes that we had bought for my sons walls almost 30 years ago. This in combination with the amazing work you guys are doing makes me feel as if the stars are beginning to align in preparation for something wonderful! All I want to know is where do I pre-order because I want this to be on my PC day one!

Carrick, I was a long time flyer doing without TrackIR. I fumbled through using padlock, POV controls, etc. I was worried about making the investment and finding I really didn't use it like I thought I would. Well young man........ I made the jump and bought version 5 and I am so damn thrilled with it's performance, the added joy of flying and the immersion it offers within the game that I am only sorry that I waited so long to buy it. Now I won't fly without it, ever! So if you can scrape together the money I for one would highly recommend going for it.

Congrats Cap! Dedication and hard work seem to have paid off. Still, as one milestone falls another faces you. Looking forward to reading a post from you in two years (or so) telling us all that you have finished..... again! I have been married 32 years so I can't offer much help on that front, well other then to say eharmony!

Olham/Pol, thanks guys. I have been doing that, for the most part. Based on your responses I am on the right path and just need to keep tweaking the layer settings to achieve what I am lookng for. Only other problem now is how much time I am investing in creating templates. It is both so enjoyable and frustrating at the same time.

I didn't realize that either Pol. Damn lucky I have been saving my PSD's. Qustion for you WM. I have been trying to create my shading layers by converting to grayscale then using contrast and remove the white. Seems to work pretty well but I will admit it is lacking some. What I really struggle with is creating a layer of highlights. Any advice would be deeply appreciated. I have PS 7 btw, old yeah, but it works.

Try Metro 2033 Olham, much like Stalker but better IMO, and the new engine used for Crysis 2 is amazing!

Always the chance that the game determined them to be a ground kill or one of your less then honorable flight members took credit for them. Then again 1 or 2 is much more understandable then what you had. Maybe you have gotten so good Olham that they are now computing your victories using a 10 to 1 ratio.

Ok, didn't get much of a response to my last request so I have dummied down my attempt at adding to much to the file and am keeping them simplier. Yet I am still not satisfied and will continue to mess with it. Would like to ask you historians of WWI aviation where I may find squadron insignias. I have found a few here and there but not any location that contains a large quantity or all of them.

Installed the beta and so far so good. Of course I just got my TrackIR so I am learning to fly all over again.
