Strike fighters service pack 2??
BERNARD1943 replied to 195th_Sith's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
can't find the link too :?: also you will find "credible information" about future patchs and addons for SFP1 here : http://www.thirdwire.com/projects/p1/rt_downloads.htm and here: http://www.thirdwire.com/projects/p1/rt_patch.htm you will see there is no reason to be upset. Quite the contrary. For good reasons, TW wants to take all his time on this one. Every sim has it's own development history: IL2 was released late on shedule. Due to problems with the editor Strategy First, SFP1 was released far too early (the famous Wall Mart release) and the Gold was also released too early after that. -
hey cylix! french jokes could be funny (some are indeed in your list - like much the last one!), but see the title of your topic : ANTIFRENCH jokes. That's the real meaning of these jokes. But "ANTI" and "jokes" are words that do not mix very well in my opinion.

:D USAFMTL I appreciate much the Wild Weasel F4G!! Great for SEAD missions against SAM and radars. Really add something in these missions. -

deuces campaign?????
BERNARD1943 replied to smudger150's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
:D splendid screenshots Ranger! here is the read me that you missed (there is one!): INSTALLATION: -Create a new folder in your X:Strategy FirstStrike FightersTerrain directory.(X being your install drive letter) called deuces. It should look like this X:Strategy FirstStrike FightersTerraindeuces -Copy your Desert.cat file from your X:Strategy FirstStrike FightersTerraindesert folder and paste it to your new deuces folder. -Rename the .cat file from Desert to Deuces. -Extract all of the files (with the exception of the campaign zip) from the downloaded .zip to the deuces folder. Go Fly! You can now pick this terrain in your single player drop down map area. -
Dagger you forgot to mention the red wine, which was in the real (not absolutely sure but think from Napoleon to 14-18), a true part of the french soldier weapons inventory

A question about the forthcoming Patch 2.

I really don't think there's a way to avoid a clean install. -
Patch
BERNARD1943 replied to Flakmagnet's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
:?: never heard that patch 1 was going to be the next big thing. It was supposed to correct bugs. I always understood from the beginning the big thing would be patch 2. Anyway we'll be able to conclude on this matter in a near future. Meanwhile, I think it is fair to state patch 2 will be "important". I wouldn't say more about it! -
Patch

:D be reassured, an important new patch is currently beta tested since early march! Release date not known yet. -
Main gun problem
BERNARD1943 replied to Queequeg's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I forgot something very important!!!!! Do you have the US version or the Euro version? If you have the US one, you MUST patch it with patch 1 (available here-see downloads). Before patch, 1 gun malfunctions were reported (although not like yours). So if you have the US version patch it and see if it does it! -

yes, keep an eye here, maybe someone will have a useful comment for you. After all you first posted yesterday. Good luck with your joystick! Don't know if you have XP, but I've read that the latest XP driver is perfect. A friend of mine is very happy with it ,although he tended before to see it like you as some kind of SARS indeed! In the meantime try single missions Air to Air combat with the F4B and F4C: no guns! Combat with air to air missiles only. Not so easy to learn using Sparrow. This is what real pilots experienced at the beginning of the F4 era. Try it! -

BERNARD1943 replied to Queequeg's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Reinstall and try to launch the game using default settings and without the joystick was the right thing to do. This is what you've done. So... I've tried quickly a search here too and also at simhq's forum. Apparently nothing relating to your problem or associated to the X 45. Really curious. Certainly you know this better, but I've read many criticism about the driver furnished with your joystick, users complaining that this soft is causing problems and that you have to download the latest soft on Saitek. But you know this better certainly! Better for you to contact the support now, I fear. -

Also you have here on this forum a bug section, that is visited by Third Wire. You can post there also, but I tend to think you have a specific problem. Did you tried to uninstall/reinstall, use the default settings and see if it's occurring again? -

This is the right place here! Return to biohaz home, see right and find the "knowledge base", in which you will find two aticles relating to the radar (7 and 10).
