Other F-111 Projects Left to Do
Rodent replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Ok this seemed to work. Other F-111 Projects Left to Do

Hmm.. I thought I could. I did on a previous aircraft that had the same problem with one of the wheels going backwards. That time I just changed the ReverseAnimation post but doing the same thing here has no effect. I made my previous post just as I had discovered the problem. I had not yet attempted to apply the fix and was certain the simple ReverseAnimation would do the trick, but apparently I was wrong. -

I noticed when playing with the F-111C(Late) and F-111G when on the ground, the right main wheel spins the opposite direction that the plane is traveling. I know how to fix that in the .ini but I thought I would point this out anyway in case you want to fix it. This is in SFG btw. -

Alright guys, those marines on the ground really need us. We only have just barely enough LGBs to take out those tanks so make sure each one counts. Goddammit! Why do all my wingmen always do this by the way? Drop all their LGBs on the first tank they see? -
Epic Fail (Jet Engine Minor Malfunction)
Rodent replied to column5's topic in Military and General Aviation
That's just the thing with mad scientists. You never know where you have them or what they are up to. And they often do wear jetpacks. -
Epic Fail (Jet Engine Minor Malfunction)

Mad scientists are defenitely dangerous. They will guaranteed cause at least as much damage as geese or seagulls but most likely more than that as mad scientists are generally of a larger mass than geese or seagulls. -

Just my usual wishlist :P
Rodent replied to squid's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I got a little wishlist item as well. I don't know if this is already done in any other thirdwire series game but in SFG there is no communication between you and other crew of the same aircraft. I think it would be pretty neat if there was AI in your own craft that did the tasks assisgned to their position. Same craft multiplayer would be cool too, but I guess this would require each seat to have its own pit. Thoughts go back to F14 Fleet Defender where you had to switch to the back seat to do certain things. I just thought that was cool and at the time thought it would be sweet if me and my buddy could hook up and play the same craft together. My main thought with this was helicopter gunships where you are the pilot and have an AI gunner and you can tell him to attack specific targets or fire at will at will at anything that comes into view, or hold fire. But I think other tasks could be done by co-pilots and stuff too. Thought this seemed like a good place to put it, but maybe I should have started my own topic. Ah well its here now -
Enemy Skill Level
Rodent replied to Spinners's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I have enemy skill on normal. That is difficult enough when I fly with one wingman in a close air support mission, no other friendly flights, and the enemy has 2 mig 21, 4 mig 29, and 8 su 27 right on top of the position of our ground troops im supposed to cover. The random mission generator is funny like that sometimes. -
Don't you want to go as fast as possible when you release your weapon anyway? Or does that not matter as much with modern missiles? A crying shame the Tomcat got retired. One of my all time favorite jets and as far as I understand the most capable jet for its role that they had. Only retired because it cost too much to operate.

Now That the DS Mod is Out...
Rodent replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Currently I am a bit low on funds. If I stretch my economy I may be able to afford one meal every other day. That meal consisting of a cup of tea and the teabag I used to make the tea. As soon as things get a little less tight I intend to invest in WoE and get that kickass looking DS mod. Thats my priorities for now, after that I may look into other investments. -
It actually started with PlanetSide for me, an MMOFPS. I made a video of it and posted on youtube. I checked the videos of one of the people who replied to mine and one of them was a video of Strike Fighters Gold. I thought it looked fun and it reminded me of the old days where I used to play a lot of flight sim games. It took a while, but eventually I came across a games collection box in a bargain bin and one of the games featured was Strike Fighters Gold. I remembered that video and picked it up. I also heard there was a very active modding community for it so I did a search on mods for SFG and came here. Best thing I have come across in a good while

Oh I may have to get me one of those. More than once have I loaded up on something other than what I really meant to. -

Good thing I invested in a zombie apocalypse survival training simulator. L4D. Now I know just what to do.

Bofors 40mm L70 gun with 3P programmable ammo. Perhaps on a CV9040 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7WqCbIpbjk...t=1&index=6 Should work against zombies too!

If that was me my suit too would have been soaked well before I hit the water.

How do you use LGB's?
Rodent replied to MetalMania's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
Nobody can say for certain. They are very secretive. -
My Thoughts
Rodent replied to Dave's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I am still pretty new here but I have to say this is one of the most friendly and mature communities I have come across. I have seen more drama queen wanker pits than I ever wanted and am glad to find this place so civilized. I hate drama queens (like that guy the other thread was about). I have seen more good small communities torn apart and die because of them. -
How do you use LGB's?
Rodent replied to MetalMania's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
I always assumed your primary target was being lit up by ground forces or something so that is why you do not have to laser it yourself. And of course those same ground forces do not go around lazering everything just in case you want to bomb it. Unless those ground forces are lazercats. -
Uber AI Mod
Rodent replied to MaverickMike's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 1 Series - General Discussion
on the topic of autopilot. I find that I use wing leveler more often than full autopilot. Gives me more control while at the same time prevent me from going off course or crashing while I am looking away.
