  1. Aloha

HI codes is used by an AFRES outfit based at Hill AFB, they used F-105 then F-16, they never operated F-4 Indeed, 199TFS Phantoms didn't wear tailcodes, they appeared with Eagles, later Never heard about Wild Weasels in Hawaii neither, it's an air defence unit for some clear reason
  2. Indeed latest patches solved that issue under VIsta operating system
  3. CTD on mission loading

Hi a freshly installed FS-X with acceleration pack (but problem occured before this being installed, did a quick check) DX 9.0 up to date, latest video drivers. machine is very old and not really suitable for FS-X, but the simulator runs with rather low settings Any plane can be chosen and flown, no issue Only thing is if I try to load a mission, upon going to "briefing", after a few seconds (up to one minute) game crashes and gives an error witht the famed report to Microsoft This report talks about FSX.exe in trouble with a nodname mfc80.dll... Looks like the error is linked to briefing display or something as I have no issue flying planes from custom made flights.... Any idea?
  4. Glad I could help (I discovered it while testing weapons skins a few months ago, I rediscovered the game) as for a nice video card, I would suggest an Nvidia GF9600 GT which isn't expensive these days or if one wants an ATI, the 4850 is a very good card at a reasonable price those would be the minimum as far as I a concerned (I own the Nvidia one and am quite happy with it), more money would mean a better card, but unless you have a very large screen (larger than 22"), it's not really required as far as Thirdwire sim are concerned....
  5. graphic settings from video card drivers are not set properly you should increase FSAA value as way as anisotropic filtering (although not sure the 8600 GT will be up to it as it is not really a gamer card, sroory to say)
  6. and some of those are way above the detail level found on stock planes
  7. help

Well, if you want help, you must give us way more details system hardware, software environnement is the game patched? do you get any error message?
  8. NF3

    > Volks, the previously known Volksjager?
  9. Looks like a nice Bis model Do you guys plan a Fishbed K too ? I know it was not a major version, but it looks so powerfull.... Anyway, the Bis was really missed from the series, good shot!
  10. it's indeed clearly a weaponspack issue
  11. small remarks: on the picture, the markings around air to air refueling receptacle are white, these are balck on model skin, and on picture, no roundel on extrados... just looking for details ;)
  12. do you have pics of F-86 with the 1-xxx series of codes? Stratos shows a more recent numbering with 102 codes (probably 2nd squadron from ALA 10, as the F-104 were coded afterwards) and your profile shows a 6-xxx code from a 6 sqn (unit that flew F-4C later) (same numbering as today, they reverted back to a Wing coding sytem instead of squadron numbering, probably linked to a centralized maintenance system)
  13. it's one of two small pieces of software designed to create missions for thirdwire simulations Le missionneur is one, written by Tom Venom KMD (Kreelin's mission designer) is the second by .... Kreelin both from Checksix community ;) telechargement is the word for download, the verb being telecharger (I omitted accents intentionaly)
  14. Can't wait to fly those new spanish birds as one can observe, the coding system evolved during the Sabre years, as well as code location on the fuselage
  15. for decals, most problem a typo in decals.ini file haven't the pack installed anymore so can't check right now
  16. not sure about what yu mean with "doesn't recognize decals" for F-18 decals are an option for skins, it's not compulsary to make use of them, some skinners might prefer to avoid them for any reason.... F-18 does support decals like any other plane in the game The F-5 wingtip tankl is rather weird Note that this pack is quite old and using it on a patched game should lead to issues, especially with external loads and flight models
  17. skinin problem

32 bits BMP are not supported You need to open it again with bmp editor and resave it as bmp 24 bits (probably an option to select via the save as.. panel)
