I have a problem with water too. i get a lot of artifacts and corruption on water tiles that didn't exist before the patch. I can post screen shots if need be. -

Yes. The steps I followed were: Copied the extra lines into the weapondata.ini and change their numbers to match the list. Open the wepaondata.ini in the weapon editor and open the gun pod and the fuel tanks. They were listed so it clicked ok and then save. I play the game and they aren't listed. I have the same issue with the gunpod on my L-39 albatross. I think the problem is related. -

Yes. I opened the weapon editor and they were already there in weapondata.ini. so i saved it and went on. -

Something is up with my Mig-29. The only thing it has available for loadout is the AA-10. I know I have other Red missiles, my SU-27 has a long list to choose from. I have Mirage Factory's weap pack and I am patched to Oct '08. I checked the loadout.ini for any hints but I don't know what to look for. This is what it says. Does that help? Or do I need to look somewhere else? -

I found the wep stations and changed them from W_Germany to WP, SOVIET The same as the Flanker. And it worked! No I have to figure out how to dodge sams without any ecm...... -

So any idea on why I have no other missiles and why I get sidewinders in 1984? EDIT: I'm going to try changing the nation name of the Mig to soviet. I downloaded the German Mig-29. Maybe if I make WOV think its a Russian bird I can use Russian missiles. EDIT2: Nope, that just got rid of all my missiles except for those pesky sidewinders. -

I have older missiles in the wep pack. So it should give me some other options right? I have AA-7s installed, I know that. I can put them on my flanker. I'm not sure about AA-6s though. Those are pretty old. At any rate I think its something up with the fulcrum. EDIT: I set the date to 1984 to test your theory. I went to the loadout and my option was sidewinders. How can that be? Migs never got sidewinders. And it isn't listed in the loadout.ini. I should be getting AA-7s, AA-8s and AA-10s. -

Hello all, this is my first post. I have found your site to be very thorough and helpful. But on to my issue; When I install the 2006 weapons mod into WoV the game begins to crash. I get different errors. Sometimes it says WoV.exe has failed, other times it says there was an error with the weapon data file. I have tried several times and I have narrowed it down to the weapons pack. I would really like to get it working, because I know several air craft rely on it. So far the only mods I have are a few additional aircraft that I got from here. Does anyone know how to fix this issue? -

Yes. I have RADAR lock. But nothing happens. Before I updated it worked fine, now it doesn't and I haven't changed a thing. I made sure my key assignments are correct. IR missiles work, just not radar guided. -

Will do. But why are my radar guided missiles not working? Is this a known bug with the October patch? All of my Radar guided missiles, AIM-7, AMRAAM, and the missiles on my Mirage 2000 and my soviet planes don't work. Anyone know why? -

for some reason the board wont let me edit posts..... I changed the end year on the Mig-21PFM to 2010. And I started a sortie with the F/A-18A in 1983. No bogies. Also as soon as the mission started I got a mission Accomplished RTB over the radio. -

ok then. I just edit the flight year by manually changing the info in the aircraft's .ini in notepad right? Also how do I label an aircraft as one that can be hostile? -

wow thanks, that one worked. But now I have another problem. My F-16s have amraams finally but whenever i make a MigCAP mission with a 3rd party aircraft there are no migs, and now when I try to use The AIM-7 they dont work. They don't launch and there is no error to indicate that the game made them fail to be realistic. I just pull the trigger and nothing happens. Also now the F-4 stalls in turns with full afterburner and flys like it has a rock on its back. I know it was not dog fighter but isn't that a little pushing it? -

ok thanks for the help everyone. I tried launching the game after adding the weapon data and lo and behold the game crashes again. I'm really bad at this.... I did a quick reinstall so it works again. So what order should I go about this? Aircraft, weapons pack, then update? or weapons pack, aircraft, update or some other combination? -

I was able to use the weapon editor to add the weapons to the weapondata.ini, but how do I put the weapondata.ini back into the .cat file? -

Yes I am patched to oct 2008, and yes it was Bunyap's weapons pack. Sorry for the confusion. I chose that one because many of the addon aircraft had in the readme's that they needed his weapon pack to work right.
