  1. As fas as I can understand the medium / long range missiles can cause greater damage than the short range missiles but Tu-22M3 seems to have a great resistance over short range missiles and guns. Even the B-52 stock aircraft which uses very effective countermeasures against R-40, R-23/24, R-27 missiles can not stand many rounds on its fuselage plus the engines can easily catch fire. For some reason Tu-22M3 can stand many gun rounds but are very vulnerable on surface to air systems especially on MIM-23, which is proved to be super effective.
  2. No, I mean the runway lights. Approach lights are OK.
  3. Simply one of the greatest mods ever! Many thanks to every person involved in this project. Just one question. Many air bases have not lights on runway. I want to change it so that every AB can have runway lights. Any ideas?

  5. Since there is such a complete pack for A-7, I think there is no reason to modify the existing SF1 A-7H. To be honest I had seen this great pack before but I had totaly forgotten to download it! Anyway thanks for your help and your reminder!

  12. I can't understand why R-98R/T soviet air to air missile has black colour in game. The bitmap file inside the folder of the weapon is white. Earlier version R-8 has the normal white colour. Any ideas?
  13. I think you're right. All R-8/98 missiles use the same name inside the .LOD file. I will just change the .bmp name. Thanks guys!
  14. I opened the .LOD file with hexeditor and the name inside is not AA-3RB.bmp (Version R-98) but AA-3.bmp How can I change the name inside the .LOD file?
  15. If a SAM is chasing you, go to low altitude or use chaffs / flares while manuevering hard at normal speeds (300-400 kts). At 1.09 mach you can't make fast manuevers and you become an easy target especially for modern SAMs.
  16. I don't know what happens to SF2 but in real life a hard manuever with 1.09 mach could be disastrous. I mean the structural limit of the aircraft is limited. At 1.09 mach a very instant manuever can cause very serious damage to wings and fuselage, so maybe it isn't so unsual to see wings broken during so hard manuevers.
  17. Also when you have been hit by missiles or guns, usually most of the damage has been done at the back part of the aircraft and when there's a fire, you can see the fire warning lights in your cockpit..
  18. Suddenly many add on aircrafts lost their gun ability! They just can't use ammo! In the loadout menu ammo is not available! However, stock aircrafts don't have this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Actually I solved the problem. I changed the lines in aircrafts data.ini and that's it. I just can't understand what happened suddenly.

    Everything was fine. Guns were in the correct subfolder (Objects folder ---> Guns folder). It just happened suddenly and keep in mind hat when I installed Ordnance weapons pack there was no problem in the beggining and aircrafts could use ammo without changing aircraft's data.
  21. Do you see operational SA-5 missiles in SF1? I mean, do they have both radars and launchers? I have only seen SA-5 only in weapon packs and never in any terrains. The only SAMs I can see in the red side are SA-2, SA-3, SA-6, SA-7, SA-8, SA-9, SA-13.
  22. Hey guys I followed the instructions on how to convert old aircrafts to be flyable on SF2 but I have a problem with the greek F-4E. I can't solve the problem with the back landing gears. They are sink in the runway. I changed the rolling radius of the back gears many times in order to make them look normal but all the time the back part of the aircraft sinks in the runway. Also this greek F-4E is very manueverable than an average F-4E. It looks like the manueverability of Mirage F.1.
  23. The stock F-4E has in its userlist.ini Greece, so I think I can create a blue skin in some way and then add it to the aircraft folder. Wrench, thanks for your advice but how can I make this happen? I mean, I am not a so advanced moder. Can you explain to me with some more details? I must say that in combatace.com moders and members provide help and addtional information quickly. Thanks guys!

    Actually I've installed the ordnance weapons pack which includes gun pack. The point is that this problem appeared today!
