  1. If a SAM is chasing you, go to low altitude or use chaffs / flares while manuevering hard at normal speeds (300-400 kts). At 1.09 mach you can't make fast manuevers and you become an easy target especially for modern SAMs.
  2. I don't know what happens to SF2 but in real life a hard manuever with 1.09 mach could be disastrous. I mean the structural limit of the aircraft is limited. At 1.09 mach a very instant manuever can cause very serious damage to wings and fuselage, so maybe it isn't so unsual to see wings broken during so hard manuevers.
  3. Also when you have been hit by missiles or guns, usually most of the damage has been done at the back part of the aircraft and when there's a fire, you can see the fire warning lights in your cockpit..
  4. Suddenly many add on aircrafts lost their gun ability! They just can't use ammo! In the loadout menu ammo is not available! However, stock aircrafts don't have this problem. Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Actually I solved the problem. I changed the lines in aircrafts data.ini and that's it. I just can't understand what happened suddenly.

    Everything was fine. Guns were in the correct subfolder (Objects folder ---> Guns folder). It just happened suddenly and keep in mind hat when I installed Ordnance weapons pack there was no problem in the beggining and aircrafts could use ammo without changing aircraft's data.
  7. Do you see operational SA-5 missiles in SF1? I mean, do they have both radars and launchers? I have only seen SA-5 only in weapon packs and never in any terrains. The only SAMs I can see in the red side are SA-2, SA-3, SA-6, SA-7, SA-8, SA-9, SA-13.
  8. Hey guys I followed the instructions on how to convert old aircrafts to be flyable on SF2 but I have a problem with the greek F-4E. I can't solve the problem with the back landing gears. They are sink in the runway. I changed the rolling radius of the back gears many times in order to make them look normal but all the time the back part of the aircraft sinks in the runway. Also this greek F-4E is very manueverable than an average F-4E. It looks like the manueverability of Mirage F.1.
  9. The stock F-4E has in its userlist.ini Greece, so I think I can create a blue skin in some way and then add it to the aircraft folder. Wrench, thanks for your advice but how can I make this happen? I mean, I am not a so advanced moder. Can you explain to me with some more details? I must say that in combatace.com moders and members provide help and addtional information quickly. Thanks guys!

    Actually I've installed the ordnance weapons pack which includes gun pack. The point is that this problem appeared today!

  12. Actually there is a HAF F-4E AUP in SF2 download section but these aircrafts were upgraded in late 90s. I just want to have the original greek HAF F-4E that was operational between 1974 - 2005. These aircrafts were using the great blue camo during 80s - late 90s. These are some lines from the aircraft's data but I think I should just copy data.ini from SF2 F-4E because convertion here seems to be hard.   13. I want to change the radar search mode and lock on range for some specific aircrafts. For example I want to decrease the search mode range but I want also to increase the range in which I can lock an enemy aircraft in search mode. Can somebody tell me what changes should I make in aircraft's data? Thanks.

  16. Now I become confused! Anyway thanks guys, I will try to understand what you said by experimenting in avionics.ini with these parameters. FrankD, when you say 10m² RCS, you mean that the aircrafts radar in SF2 can detect a target which has a minimum surface at 10m² ?

  18. I don't know about you guys but I tried to download it 2 times, some minutes before and the size of the rar file was only 145 KB.
  19. OK, I will come back later with some screenshots maybe. I made some changes in F-4E. I selected display ranges at 10, 20, 30 and 45 nm and maximum lock on range at 30 nm. When the enemy F-5s were at 12' o clock at 50 nm my radar didn't show them. Some seconds later when distance was shorter at about 44-45 nm the radar showed them!
  20. A complete pack for sure. Actually I think that the best way to make this pack is to create the aircraft model and then to create detailed skins for each air force user. If mou make a complete pack with 6 different aircrafts (Mirage 2000B - TH - BM - DP - BG - DAD) the final size of the add on will be very big. In general that's my opinion about aircraft add ons. I prefer the basic aircraft model and then detailed skins for each user or even squadron. What about the single export version of Mirage 2000 AdA? Does somebody know when will it be available? Thanks.
  21. I tried to verify what you said but when I modified the range settings the actual search range is also affected. Anyway, Thanks guys, I will try to experiment with different values in these parameters.
  22. Thanks cocas but I have an another question. How can I modify the lock on range in search mode? For example, if an aircraft has 4 ranges in search mode 10,20,40 and 80 nm and the maximum lock on range is on 20 nm, how can I change it to be in 40 nm ?

  24. I think the small treasure here is the greek F-102A. Never seen it before at any simulator. Some things about the greek delta daggers: In 1969, 20 F-102A and 2 TF-102A entered service with the greek air force. They remained in service until their replacement by Mirages F.1CG in 1975-77. F-102 is probably the aircraft which had the shortest service in the greek AF.
