As a rule.... I don't normally watch American sitcoms (I'm on the other side of the pond), but the The Big Bang Theory is broadcasted over here. FC's vid reminded me of the scene below, the perfect follow up to his post. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y3qB4u-dzgw&NR=1 Comedy has no borders! Cpt.C
  4. http://news.bbc.co.u...pe/10550430.stm The most inefficient part would be the pilot!
  5. The Person Below Me

False... I make them from my spaceship... The person below me believes we are not alone...
  6. What makes it even funnier is that the British, Daily Mail newspaper, has fallen for our very own British humour! The markings are Marham 31 Squadron, not Lossie' 617, and I think the black lines around the sign & glove, are a bit of a giveaway to some Photoshoping! We need FC to post some genuine laughs!!
  7. Animal Rights Activists (SO FUNNY!)

Hot dog in brine sir? No thanks, I'll have mine in urine!
  8. thank you for smoking!

You can't beat making your own, hand rolled, Golden Virginia 'roll-up'! I also enjoy the occasional, fine quality, hand rolled cigar. Don't like 'taylor made' cigarettes because you can taste the filter. If your going to smoke, go the whole hog. Straight through, no filter, and taste that baccy!! I don't smoke in the presence of non-smokers, I respect their choice not to smoke, as much as (I hope) they respect my choice to do so.
  9. Good Bear! Eat more!

I'm impressed that the bear had time for some pudding after it's main course!
  10. Happy birthday bobrock

Happy Birthday Bobrock... I'm going for a flight in your Tornado F3 to celebrate!!
  11. Nimrod rant

It exploded over Afghanistan in 2006 during air to air refuelling because of a fuel leak. The finding from the enquiry was reported this week. The main point of the report, was the failure of the military covenant (Britain's duty of care to its armed forces). Some news organisations & families of those lost, are asking if legal proceedings should be taken against those concerned. The Top Brass in the MoD and the then Minister of Defence, knew there was a safety issue with Nimrod air to air refuelling, but were too tight to fix it. http://news.bbc.co.u.../uk/8329117.stm http://www.channel4....+blamed/3402302 The small men highlighted the issue to their superiors, who in turn did nothing because it would cost money. Neither the MoD nor BAE would appear on the news to explain this week, why they allowed air to air refuelling to continue, but instead blamed the small man (3 at BAE and 2 at QinetiQ). The Top Brass & Government have done this before whereby they ignored warnings about safety. A Hercules was lost in Iraq 2005 when hit by enemy fire and a fuel tank exploded. http://news.bbc.co.u.../uk/7683909.stm A quote from that inquiry "the failure to fit Hercules planes with explosion suppressant foam was a factor". (I believe that the USAF had these suppressants fitted in Hercs on active service for that reason). I agree with Racindriver, the Top Brass & Government do nothing because it will cost money, then blame someone else when it all goes wrong.
  12. I'd like to use Kreelin's refueling mod to replicate ground refueling, but can't find any data on lb/mins flow rate from a fuel truck. Also, do larger aircraft (B1-B etc) have more that one underwing refueling point, to enable refueling from more than one truck at a time? Thanks in advance. Cpt.C
  13. The refueler file is here http://forum.combata...s&showfile=7350 but unfortunately there's no airborne refuelers in the game! I've installed the Boom flow rate of 3000lb/min, and need to change "AfterburnerTSFC=8500.0" to replicate a fuel truck. I'll do the maths when I get the lb/min of a fuel truck... hopefully!
  14. I'd love to hear the black box cockpit recording about their "heated discussion"!
  15. I've looked at my weapondata.ini and the AIM7 has the entry GuidanceType=12, but the AIM54 has a guidance type of GuidanceType=13. Go into your F-14 data.ini and under Weapons Stations in your Pheonix Station section, check you have AllowedWeaponClass=SAHM,AHM
  16. Dave, Having also lost a close friend through the same circumstance, my sincere condolences are with you and the family of Oli. My thoughts are with you all at this time. Yours Respectfully, Cpt.C
  17. I've added the BONE to Strike Fighters Gold, using the pit from an F111 and it works OK. Follow Wrench's guide on how to Make AI Planes Flyable in the KB, and your flying! http://forum.combatace.com/forum/174-adding-aircraft/
  18. When I was in Scotland in 2006, on several occasions, I saw Tornados flying in the weeds. I think on both occasions where they were very low, the aircraft were F3s. Judging by the fact that I saw Tornados flying around 10,000 feet and less than 1000, I'd say its normal. I've seen Tornados just above tree top level many times (when I was a young lad they would come in over Loch Maree and fly over my grandparent's bungalow). Have also seen them flying below my friends who were para-gliding near Loch Ness. It's when you see the pilots look at you as you wave to them, that makes living up here very special. RIP gentlemen.
  19. What is your porn star name?

    Honey Glen ...sounds tasty!
