U.S. F-16s following plane stolen in Thunder Bay, Ontario
Badger Lead replied to ext's topic in Military and General Aviation
Can you imagine trying to keep an F-16 airborne following a Cessna at 100 knots? guys must have had full flaps, throttles at idle, the whole works just trying to stay in the air. Mad skills for the Wisconsin ANG. -
Flight of the Intruder

ha, the F-14 and A-6 folks might laugh, but the Navy sure doesn't. Recruitment skyrocketed after Top Gun came out in 86, it inspired a lot of people. -
oh dear god, these poor people. If I could show them my snowblower (which this winter I have been using on the driveway every friggin day after class) I'm not sure if they'd run away scared or think it was a gift from above.

Pisses me off when people on the TV are saying that the Steelers are "the first NFL team to win 6 titles" Steelers are the first team to win six SUPER BOWLS. My Packers are still in 1st place with 12 championships, not our fault we were awesome before the Super Bowl was invented. Sucked this year though, oh well.

India to ink largest-ever defence deal with the US soon

Cool. I think India and the US could grow to be great allies in the near future. I hope so, anyway. -
30%. On Wisconsin!

haha you call that snow? That's a DUSTING at best. You should see up here where I live (upper Michigan). We're already on our 6th blizzard or so. Driving to work was nuts, big storm today off the lake. I sometimes can't believe we had a SAC base for 50 years, it must have been hard work keeping those runways clear.

that's fine, I don't mind turning things down, just want a playable frame rate. So what should I buy? -

long, long ago, I spent waaaay too much time out of my childhood in front of Fighters Anthology, making missions and what not, that game was awesome with all the different planes you could fly. I've played a few flight sims here and there since then, like the IL-2 series and FS 2002, but nothing recaptured the feeling of freedom I got from FA. Then I stumbled upon an article on SimHQ.com about the Wings series, and I'm interested. What do you guys think? Would I like these games? Also, will they run on my computer? I can run any of the Il-2 1946 at the 2nd highest settings and they run ok as long as there isn't a 50+ plane fight.
