I think it is North-America in night. Only the twinkly lights of the cities can you see. I have seen this sort of pics before. You have to look to Africa and see the different. Salute Dutchy

Today August 15th is the day that Japan capitulate of World War 2. It is for my country a little bit the forgotten war. But we have a remember day today for veterans and people that lived in our colony Nederlands-Indië (now Indonesia). I'll take today also a minute silent for those who died and still has the war in them after so many years. Some where taken in prison camp others loss family or friends. I hope that will never be a WW3. Salute Dutchy

How did they find Mig's under the ground? And why are they there? If you are pilot of Iraq you have to train live under sand and dust. Salute Dutchy

It looks like a romantic place to me. But I know his history of WW2 For more information about the battle of Wake Island you have to read the book "Wake Island" written by Duane Schultz. And will you know more about people that where prison after the battle, you have to read the book "prisoners of the Japanese", this is written by Gavan Daws. I read and have both books in my collection. They really good. Salute Dutchy

I heard it about the Firefly at the news. I have seen a few times Firefly's at shows. Nice planes. The story and pics of the crash are to see on the bbc site. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/devon/30622281.stm It is always a lost when a pilot dies. Never knew that there was also a Heinkel crashed. Salute Dutchy

No, N and more No. She don't deserve any medal. They take the wrong road and she was not shotted or cut with a knife. And from her they wanna make a movie?? I say it once, but I say it again. The Iraqi fellow deserves a medal. With his information is she rescued. Today I read more about this lady and the treu story about her capture. Salute Dutchy (I still support the troops in Afgan and Iraq)

Today was perfect. Great demoteams from Spain, Poland, Italy (Frecce Tricolori), England (Red Arrows) and France (Patrouille de France) and Schwitserland (Patrouille de Swiss) did their demonstrations at Twenthe. Full with land colors and pride. And I met a Hog Driver from Spangdahlem. They had a hard year. With loss of two pilots and a plane. This was the first day. Saturday I go back to enjoy the show for the second time. Greetings Dutchy

It is a Northrop YA-9A. He compete in the 70's with the A-10. Fairchild get the order to build tankbusters. At March afb at the museumfield a YA-9A to see. He is in a good condition (what I saw in 1998). I thought the build two planes. But maybe some-one knows more about it. Salute Dutchy

Sunday I came back from Lulea in Sweden. (150km from the northpoleborder.) Great show. Long travel. Friday in train from Kampen to Schiphol Amsterdam. Flying to Stockholm Sweden, in the bus (12 hours) to Lulea. Seen the show at saturday and back at sunday after the show. Never seen darkness, but they have there midnight sun. What I saw was good. Gripen, Viggen, Draken,Lanser. The history of Swedisch airforce is intresting. Maybe also for you people. Maybe a little bit unknown, but very nice. It was my second trip to Sweden. And I think not the last one. Salute Dutchy

Did you get in the A-10? That is my dream for a long time. To sit in it. You are lucky man. I've been once in a E-3 Sentry AWACS. Only computers to see. But nice. Few years ago I saw a bleu painted AWACS with 50 years NATO on it. Next weekend to Twenthe airbase in The Netherlands (where I live) for a show. Salute Dutchy

Hello, A few questions about the B-29 Enola Gay. I surfed on the internet, but I can't find good photo's about that plane. And I wanna know where I can find information about the crew. If they live or what they do now. Find only about Paul Tibbets and I know that a crewmember died this year. Thanks for helping. Greetings Dutchy
