B52STRATO replied to Wrench's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - Mods & Skinning Discussion
If this is inspired by annotations from the American CVN flight deck, this should rather give "Attention au souffle et aux rotors" . But I nerver know if one of these plate was ever placed on the bridge. -

It's a nice idea, and seen from the cockpit the differences will not be "terrible". The 70s era modernisation also included the Crotale installation as you mentioned it, originaly named Murène. -
Agressive ennemies ? May you could look to Novalogic's old F-22 Lightning II, F-16 Fighting Falcon, MiG-29 Fulcrum, or even Flanker 2.0 (this one isn't from Novalogic, I can't remember the developpers sorry), the first could be hard when you have to face to the Russian Flanker and the tactical B-61 is available. For more arcade like, there is also Crimson Skies, but it is a "special" game, people like or hate.

I can agree with you concerning the Fleming novels whose films are close now. But I don't know, it lacks the little touches which had been in others, like those of Connery and Moore. But, I have to admit hate the change, it must be why. Besides the two Dalton opus, and especially "License to Kill", also had tried to establish a Bond with a little more action ?

I personnally think that a part of James Bond (in cinema) died with the departure of Brosnan... reincarnating in a more looking like Cruise era Mission: Impossible. No more funny gadgets and less British humor.

The Walther PPK comeback !!

What I am going to write could be stupid, but this Flagon pilot, would he could not get onto the forward left or right of the 747, or even in front of him at a little more height, then turn on his beacon or even light the A/B for a moment to being perceived ? If the control was aware that it was an RC-135, it should also be aware that this aircraft is only provided with passive defense systems and would in no case be able to fight back or run away ?

We must not overlook that the war of principles, even if some are not yet clearly "identified". For many of these principles reflect the idea that war, initially a military activity, is to fuelled by the fight and nothing else, and that his victory is possible by appliquation of a serie of rules to follow. Their implementation must (normally) produce a positive result. In this case the echec is then due to failure of one of these "rules" and not the opponent. I will be more partisant a second approach where the war would be such a "dialectic" between two opponents whose nature is not unitary. In this case the principles of war are at best a "set of conditions leading to the success in combat," but where there is no "keys" or formulas, and therefore no list of principles to follow. Based on the antagonistic dimension of the war, and not taking it as a simple military confrontation, while recognizing that the war is a social phenomenon and a part of global policy. The conduct of war is therefore expected to rely on the intelligence situation. May like the Observe-Orient-Decide-Act formula said it. And, after all, some of the greatest social and technological advances, don't they were completed during times of war ?

Or may a N.A.T.O codename like "Fake" or "Forced-due-to-lack-of-resources" ?

If you could hear the three idiots commenting on the first French channel... a true comedy, all complemented by a small map to help the ignorants to know the emplacement of some the Pacific Islands States. But a splendid ceremony, and a great soundtrack perfectly accompanied by the drummers !

"I should not have eaten Fajitas this morning..."

And not to mention that one of their most powerful "weapons" and favorite remains the denial and the simple questioning of their opponents thoughts and/or actions. A sophist and typically ruse, requiring only a few tricks in their responses.

This is a serious insult to the Glorious North Korean people in their struggle against the Occidental coyotes ! ... For this a "civilian" rocket launch will be ordered ! Honestly the French administration had made a huge blunder like this one in 1982, by inviting for a stop at the port of Brest a ship of the Armada Argentina (the first for decades) ... and another of the Royal Navy the same day ... idiocy when you hold us !

C-17 lands at wrong airfield
B52STRATO replied to SayethWhaaaa's topic in Military and General Aviation
It's, indeed, strange that the crew has not decided a go-around. The visibility looks excellent. Anyway, another fine performance of the Globemaster III capabilities ! -
MiG-31BM & M Schwarze Squad
B52STRATO replied to RogerSmith's topic in Thirdwire: Strike Fighters 2 Series - File Announcements
Nice idea, now it's just missing a B7R area mod. Interviews of the fictitious leader in the rubble, and his prosecution for murder, making it one of the most prominent character of the story. -
Sunday a Fokker Dr.1 replica (reg. F-AZAO) crashed at the Couhé-Vérac meeting, costing the life of his pilot, during a combat demonstration. A stall could be the cause of this drame according to the witnesses on the ground. It's always the best who leave first.

May the most recent was the one involving a replica in Canada, something like a year ago. But I don't think it was a lethal accident. Anyway some of the XXth century last years were bad for this type of aircraft.

At the moment I use two accounts on Hotmail, and none has degenerated, spams are rare, almost nonexistent. By against me Outlook Express has long bothered with problems of sending and receptions, but it dates from long ago, they shurely have the remedy to these problems since.

Impressive rotation speed ! By the way this accent... how not to recognize the Indian accent ! This reminds me of a controller that was at Juliana apt and had in addition a very shrill voice, almost feminine: "Noveember 6678 Foxtlot, Zuliana tower, you eere at 5 miles north east of thee eerport." Them are far out of sight of the public at least

OT: Guilt of Nazi children.

For this we have to wait that nutty throw themselves out of the windows at the end of the year with Roland Emmerich's DVDs in their hands. -
SAAB Viggen Emergency Landing Video
B52STRATO replied to JonathanRL's topic in Military and General Aviation
It seems to me that the RAF was inspired by this particular organization to develop its strategy of the Harriers positioning, putting them under cover of woods and forest near a potential Western front. -

It was always easier to destroy than to build... sadly. -
